Excellent customer service
by Matheausfam on 07/08/2016Had a very easy and exciting time getting my new truck. The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and was understanding to my families needs .. I love this place..Geesh, where do I begin?
by RickyBobby25 on 06/29/2016I had been following a vehicle on CarGurus and was sent an email update on May 28th, a Saturday morning, that the price had been reduced. I called AutoNation in Corpus Christi and spoke with Taylor Dewitt to make sure the vehicle was still… there. It was and I told him we were on our way and would be there in 2 1/2 hours. He said the vehicle was in the maint shop for a minor issue that should be completed in about an hour and it should be ready by the time we arrived. Well we show up at a couple of hours later at 2pm and ask to see the car. The salesman, Marshall Ramos, tells us it's still in the shop, but lets talk some numbers while we wait for it to be completed. Well, 2 hours later we are still waiting to see the vehicle and I tell him we aren't doing anything else until I actually see the car. We then drive over to the repair shop and actually get to see the vehicle. At least it actually exists. However, the hood is up and it appears as though it is not just a minor issue to me. We tell Marshall we will not purchase the vehicle without test driving it first and he tells me it may not be ready today. He asks us to go see the Finance Manager because if we want them to hold the price on the vehicle we need to show we are willing to purchase it. He said he expects the price to go back up in the next few days because they reduced the price in an effort to get some sales in before the end of the month. We meet with the Finance Manager and fill out all the paperwork and he asks about a down payment. I question him about the 3-day return policy guarantee and he says I can return the car within three days "no questions asked" and cancel the deal and get all of my money back. Sounds great, so I give him a check for $2000. HUGE MISTAKE!!! He runs the check electronically and I am given the check back as my receipt. Since the vehicle was still in the repair shop, we finally leave the dealership at 7:30pm. The dealership was closed on Sunday and on Monday (Memorial Day holiday), so I called Marshall Ramos on May 31, Tuesday morning and told him we had discussed it over the long weekend and were going to wait on purchasing a vehicle at this time. He told me that wasn;t a problem and I asked about getting my $2000 back since the amount was already deposited in their account. The Finance Manager told me that he had to wait for the check to post to their bank account and as soon as it did they would issue a check to me. The $2000 posted to the dealership bank account on Wednesday, June 1 and the man told me a check would be mailed the following day. I waited until the following Monday, June 6 and called back to see about the check. I could never seem to get through to the Finance Manager as he was always either with a customer or out to lunch. I left phone messages but he never returned my calls either. I finally contacted the General Manager of the dealership on June 9th and the lady told me that for a refund of that amount the check would have to be produced at the corporate office. She told me she would look into my situation and get something done for me very quickly. She returned my call later that day and told me she expected the $2000 refund to be mailed on Monday, June 13th. I waited for a few days and still had not received it by Thursday, June 16th so I called the General Manager again. This time she told me she expected the check to be mailed on either Friday June 17th or Monday June 20th. I finally received the refund check on June 22nd, 25 days after giving AutoNation my check and 21 days after it had posted to their bank account. Cliff Notes version: Looked at a car, told it was ready, it wasn't, was told I needed to complete paperwork, gave down payment, check cleared, decided not to buy this vehicle, took an Act of GOD to get my down payment amount returned to me almost a month later. Will never return to this dealership for anything ever again They could give cars away and I would drive down the street and pay for one before I returned here. I have purchased 6 new cars from dealerships and have never experienced anything like this before in my life. Most mismanaged organization I have ever come into contact with and I am not a spring chicken. I was either lied to or misled by the Internet Sales Manager, the Salesman, the Finance Manager, and the General Manager. I didn't meet the janitor, but I'm sure he would have been just like the rest! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!Warranty service
by chauncey53 on 06/28/2016The chrome was flaking off my '14 corvette wheels, BJ handled the replacement with one hic-up, One of the new wheels came in damaged and some how, she was able to locate a replacement for the damaged wheel and still deliver the car within… the specified time. Bavo-Zulu to BJ.Thanks so much for your feedback. Again, we appreciate your recommendation of AutoNation Chevrolet North Corpus Christi and we hope to be of service again in the future.

Not so Great
by la11032 on 06/17/2016I was out of town so I sent my fiancé to get my tires rotated and balanced because a shake in the truck, but was mainly there to get the back part of my seat put back on. They repaired my seat in February on account of the recline not… working and not to long ago I noticed the back plastic part of the seat was never properly attached when seat was replaced. I noticed this late because I never really sit in the back. The truck had a bad shake so I asked her to see about getting tires rotated and balanced. After all was said and done she called and said the truck still continued to shake. I got back into town later that week and noticed the tires were never rotated. I know this because I had two different brand tires, I asked the service desk if that would be a problem being there two different brands, therefore two different tread types yet the same size. He informed me it wouldn't be a problem. After seeing that I made sure the balance was even done. The stick on weights looked new and weren't the same weight that I previously had on the tires. I asked service why the tires weren't rotated and was told "all we do is balance, you don't always have to rotate." Any knowledgeable service department will know that when you balance, you rotate. You wouldn't change the oil and leave the oil filter. Was charged 59.99 for the balance which I was told included rotation [obviously not] and no charge for repairs to my seat because it was under warranty. What really sent me over the edge was when I took it to the tire tech's I work with [ I do not work in tire's we have a service dept. with our construction company. We can not do personal vehicles] said they couldn't believe someone would balance a tire this bad. I stood with them and looked it over, they showed me tread separation, high spots, and pieces of rubber chipping off the tire. I believe any tire tech, or person with some knowledge about tires should have seen how bad a shape these two tires were in. No one at AutoNation spoke with me or my fiancé about the condition of the tires. It was a quick here you go, pay your bill and next. As of right now the truck is not road worthy until new tires are purchased, so for safety sake and to save a world of questions I would not recommend AutoNation Service technicians that worked on my vehicle. We are deeply disappointed by your lackluster experience at AutoNation Chevrolet North Corpus Christi. We'd like the opportunity to make this up to you, so if you're willing, please contact our General Manager at (351) 884-5234. We hope to hear from you.

All requested maintenance performed as requested and on time. Would not hesitate to recommend this department. No… reservations about being a return customer should the need develop.slow service
by frankalv on 05/26/2016the service was slow,,, they were quick to call and try selling me more that what I wanted to get done.. it was a warranty service so I guess the try and make some money.. and maybe that's why I was put on a "back burner" but I did pay… for the warranty, so its not like im asking for free stuff. they did even put a updated sticker on windshield indicating next oil change,,,, cant help and wonder if they even changed itGood service with Cesar Soto
