Great Experience
by cmartin3 on 12/23/2009I bought a 04 odyssey at lot 2 from Danny and I cant say enough about him or JC honda. From the minute I walked in till the minute I left with my new van, everybody was nice courteous. I'll tell everybody where to go buy their next car.I RECOMMEND TRACY HAYNES!!
by bobby_gray on 12/02/2009My name is Bobby Gray and I purchased a 2009 Honda Ridgeline from Johnson City Honda. The day I purchased my new ridgeline I was actually there to get my current vehicle at that time serviced. And while walking around the lot to kill time… a nice young gentleman by the name of Tracy Haynes approached me and gave me some facts on the ridgeline. By far I must say I've never in my entire life met a car salesman who was more courteous, kind, and respectfull as Tracy was. Not to mention he was very knowledgable and he gave me all the details about the vehicle without being pushy which made me very comfortable in my purchasing experience. Tracy worked diligently to make sure I got the best deal possible and I am very appreciative. Tracy also took the time to follow up with me to make sure everything was going well with the vehicle which made me feel appreciated as a customer. I must say that after having the opportunity to work with Tracy my oppininion about Johnson City Honda as a whole is that much better than before. Thank you Tracy for being a friend instead of a salesman. I think it is in order for your boss to give you a raise. You deserve it!! And anyone out there who is thinking about buying a new honda, go to Johnson City Honda and ask for Tracy Haynes, the best car salesman I've ever met. P.S. I love my Honda. Thanks Paul Josten!
by terrydrone on 10/29/2009We have just purchased our 4th Honda! Paul guided us through the process of our purchase of an '09 CRV - Certified Honda. Paul was patient and very knowledgeable about the car, trade in process as well as negotiating a price. We were… very happy with the professionalism of the staff...including John Minutolo, who helped us test drive the car initially. We are absolutely sold on Honda Certified vehicles - their quality, warranties and reliability. Thank you Paul, John and Johnson City Honda for going above and beyond to make our deal a fair one for all!steven brobeck is an awesome salesman
by 93greenbean on 10/28/2009this past week i called johnson city honda in search of an 09 honda civic si. i was contacted before i ever set foot on the lot by Steven Brobeck. Steven worked very hard to get me a good deal and to find the right car for me. Steven and… the folks in the finance department worked very hard to make sure i was satisfied with my new Honda both before and after the sale. All in all i would recommend Steven and Johnson City Honda to anyone looking to buy a new or used car.I chose Honda because everyone I talked to that owned a Honda loved it.
by barrb23 on 10/28/2009I bought an Accord EX-L yesterday. So far I really like my choice. It rides great, sounds good and is all around a beautiful car. Everyone I met at Johnson City Honda is really nice. They listened and worked hard to find the car that I… was looking for. They were also very patient to help me find the best way to deal with the financing of my car. Stephen Brobeck and Blake Baldwin were the sales representatives that I worked with. Blake came down with the flu so Stephen stepped in. Both were very polite, patient and helpful. When I left, I was confident I had been given a good deal on a new car.Scott Honigmann at JC Honda is a wonderful salesman
by 1991farner on 10/22/2009We purchased a f150 from Scott Honigmann at Johnson City Honda. We could not be more happy with the customer service he provided us! We were in and out in no time. He got us the deal we wanted and took care of all the details. We will… definitely be back!!!!!! :-)Awesome Adventure in Automobile Acquisition
by jnismom on 10/07/2009Phenomenal is one of the words that comes to mind with regards to the purchase of my new 2010 Honda Civic LX Sedan. From Jade Nickles, my online contact, to Bennett Laparo, car salesman extraordinare, to Tom and Ryan who worked with me on… the business end - my experience with Johnson City Honda was one which inspired confidence in my decision to lease my beautiful new vehicle. The Atomic Blue Honda Civic is a gift from my husband and me for our lovely, soon to be 16 year old, daughter Jennifer. The expression of joy on her face when she saw the car she had been talking about for over a year was priceless to me and my husband. This is the stuff that memories are made of. Without the help of all those at Johnson City Honda, this wonderful day would not have been possible. The friendliness and sincerity of the sales staff made the transaction a breeze from beginning to end. I cannot thank everyone enough for helping to make my daughter's dreams come true. by danielstiel on 04/29/2009Got approved for anything on the lot/s. Trading in my bike a 2007 vtx1300c with over $2000 in accessories, less than 2000 miles. Just bought 4 months ago for 12, 000 with accessories. They made me pay 10.00 for gas to test drive a car, then… told me that i had to go to my Honda Dealership for my bike and get an appraisel. They called it in to J.C Honda. When I got back to the dealereship, they told me that Honda bikes told them 3800.00. I told honda no and left. I then called Jim's Hondamotor cycle shop and they were very upset, due to them telling Honda in J.C. that if it was in an accident or not running, 7, 000, and in my bikes shape, which is new, showroom, with the extras. 10, 000 minimum. This dealer was trying to rip me off, even told me to my face that he would be happy to process the loan, my payments would be over 500.00 / month and that they would just put the money owed . That would make the 14, 000 dollar car 35, 000 and the dealer/sales guy named PHIL a great summer vacation check!!!not to be trusted, violation, concealment also car not checked as they said
by carol68 on 11/01/2008This complaint is about The Johnson City Honda Dealership. Purchase date Oct 17 2008 - Used 2008 Accord purchased at Johnson City Honda. Price agreed upon was $18,000, financed through Johnson City Honda (although we can do it anywhere.).… My husband and I shopped there three different times that week looking at cars and offering bids. In fact Honda called my husband the day after we first were there with info about loans etc... I returned the following day and offered a price however, my bid was turned down but they offered other prices for 5 different cars, I left and came back with my husband the next day, found a car and made an offer which was not accepted at first...as we were driving away the salesman Scott came running and waving at us to stop as the used car manager had accepted our offer of $18,000. At no time, and in no place was there anything said or mentioned or written anywhere about a $299.00 charge for ETCH, an insurance that the manager said we must have in order to purchase the car. I am insured with Allstate and we have been for many years, Allstate informed me that I do not need to have this insurance. The day of purchase we were first asked if we would like to buy a car cleaning and washing contract by our salesman Scott, we said no and then were told that we would then move on and pay the price +++ which we thought meant to be the high administration charge of $389.95, registration $35.00 and tax $1508.37 (I believe we were taxed on the ETCH as well as paying interest for it but we didn't know the figures until way later. ...During this time we were first with the salesman, then shuffled on to his manager then with, as they referred to the Finance Dept. person, "The Money Man". The "Money Man" a young man named Ryan proceeded to try and pressure sell us various car products, contracts for maintenance, oil changes, body work..etc... each with different pricing and new and better deals...my husband was annoyed and announced as he rose that he was leaving. Had we known then about ETCH we would have! The young man said you haven't signed the papers yet, my husband sat down and the signing began and Ryan continued talking about which car product we would purchase and what the cost would be. The signing was rapid, my husband was upset at that point, one paper over another while Ryan talked about the administration fee, registration that they would take care of getting for us and the loan date and agreement and when to pay and the car care plan... we took his word ..if we did not want it he would remove it from the contract ...and we signed and signed. During this period of time ETCH was NEVER mentioned although I did sign the ETCH paper which we later saw has my husband's name on it which I alone signed. This paper does not state we have to have this insurance. Anyway, there were too many papers, too much car plan talk and we should not have signed without a thorough review. We trusted that the contract was correct and never noticed that the sales price said 18,299.00. We went home and reviewed all the paper work and were shocked by this...thinking this was a mistake and that ETCH was another car service we called as we did not read the paper at the dealership, just too many papers. They said it was Honda policy and would not sell a car without it..we by the way put down $10,000.00 on this car... I went there Monday to talk to them about this and they insisted it was a Honda policy...after many questions they finally told me it was not a Honda policy but the dealership Johnson City Honda policy, and that no one ever mentioned this ETCH policy, nor was it on any sales material on the vehicles themselves and no sign anywhere within or without the store! Why would we know? I told them I was sorry we signed the contract before reading it, actually I told them that several times during the at least one hour talks...I just foolishly trusted that the amount would be correct and business wouldEducator
by rproffitt on 02/12/2008I am a 64 year old grandfather who has an excellent driving record and have purchased over 20 hondas in my driving life. I have three in the driveway today. I can also truthfully say that I am responsible for family and friends who have… turned to a honda and at least another 20 cars in 20 years. Here is my point. On arriving at the Johnson City dealership I asked to drive one of 5 or 6 Civic 2dr Si's. I was told that the dealership did not allow these cars to be test driven but could drive a four door version. When the sales manager saw that I was upset he then told me that I could make an "offer" and they would let me drive one. Well as the famous quote goes "I will visit this dealership when hell freezes over. What kind of dealership would refuse someone one who is a potential customer and who has bought cars from this dealers location (under the former owners name) is beyond me!? Anyway unless you are desperate visit another dealership.BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE!
by zoey610 on 02/27/2014updated 05/28/2025Do not go here for a car! Finance manager(s) do not double check figures! We traded in a car & were told they would pay it off. A week after the purchase we received a letter from the finance co. that we still owed several hundred dollars… on our payoff! No one from this dealership ever called the finance company to find the exact amount owed! Called the dealership & was told several times they would call finance co. After another week, called dealership again to see if they found out anything & was told they can't talk with finance co. because of confidentiality! And was also told because we had already signed paperwork there was nothing more they could do! Go somewhere else for a vehicle unless you enjoy getting the run around with customer service!! Once you sign on the dotted line at this dealership you're left holding the bag! Be VERY careful if you're considering going here. Better yet drive on by! This place has no customer service whatsoever! We are very disappointed in our experience here & will never go back to this dealership! Takes forever for return phone calls or emails. Once you buy here, you're forgotten & left paying for their mistakes! This place definitely needs to learn how to treat their customers!Accord purchase from Phil

by mdcarpen on 04/24/2011updated 05/28/2025My wife and I purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite from Johnson City Honda. Max Hrenda was great to work with, and we love the van. Thanks, JCH, for an easy purchase experience.Great experience!
by amckee on 12/25/2010updated 05/28/2025My fiance and I just purchased our first vehicle from Phil Maupin at Johnson City Honda, and we could not be happier with the service he provided. Both he and Ryan in financing were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire… process. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend these individuals at Johnson City Honda for a pleasant and reassuring buying experience.Jimmy McKemy is a great sales rep
by donny_jc on 04/19/2011updated 05/28/2025My wife and I are pretty demanding and Jimmy McKemy was patient and respectful we we made several attempts to decide which vehicle we wanted. Even with our demands, he never treated us any way but kind and I feel truely worked to meet our… requests. If it were not for Mr. McKemy, we might have ended up with a another brand of car. Jimmy McKemy was great to work with and is the main reason we would shop JC Honda again.Johnson City Honda works hard for your business!!! Thank You Bennett!
by brandystory on 01/30/2011updated 05/28/2025I had been shopping for 4 weeks for a used vehicle. I wanted and tried to purchase a used vehicle from an unnamed dealer and they made me VERY mad by trying to stiff me with a 6.9 apr. Exhausted, I finally I asked one of close family… members (who I know has purchased multiple vehicles from JC Honda) who I should speak to if I decide I want to go look at the cars at JC Honda and they mentioned Bennett Laparo's name. From the moment I met Bennett he treated me like gold and let me know immediately through his actions that he would do everything in his power to obtain my business. He worked as fast as possible and efficient as possible to find a the-perfect but very hard-to-find Honda for me. They didn't have what I wanted on the lot. I HAD to have a Honda Civic, EX, manual, coupe in white, black or metal; and none of the previous features were negotible. Not only did he find excatly what I wanted, but not one time did he make me feel like I was being unreasonable or really picky. AND he also got me the best price at 19,500 + TTF with 1.9 apr. I will tell everyone about my great experience at JC Honda and especially my experience with Bennett. By the way, when I was car shopping a new car wasn't an option for me. Bennett put me the car of my dreams. Thank You Bennett!!GREAT car buying experience!!!!

by Smooky12 on 02/16/2013updated 05/28/2025When I bought my car from them I expressed concern over the tread on the tires but was assured by the agent they would not sell a vehicle without proper tread but when I took the vehicle for inspection it would not pass inspection due to… the tires. I called the dealership about this issue and after having to leave several messages before getting a call back I was informed they would not replace the tires. I also had a popping sound in the front end and they gave me a number of another dealership to schedule an appt. I was told they would call the other dealership and let them know about the problem but when I called the other dealership I was informed they had not called. If you want to buy a car from a dealership who doesn't stand behind the vehicle then this is the place! Don't buy here. The Chad Experience
by cherri2 on 02/24/2011updated 05/28/2025I have always bought from PBH after having a bad experience with service I decided to never buy there again, which brings me to my point. I am 47 years old and have bought more than my share of new cars, but in all my years of car dealings… this Dealership takes the cake. I was treated like a VIP the minute I drove up. I was upfront with Chad and told him what I was looking for and he took the lead and gave me everthing I ask for and more. I was treated with respect and kindness. He is a young professional and knows is trade very well. I too am in the Customer Service Profession and know that Customer Service is 100% key to growth of a buisness. I walked away feeling great about my purchase and no regrets. I call Johnson City Honda the only Honda Deaership period! The only way I can sum this up is ( My Bad experience with PBH changed to MY Chad Experience With Johnson City Honda !!!!!! ) Respectfully Cherri Erwin Kingsport Tn.Civic LX
