Great buying experience

I began the auto loan process via their website, as well as the sites of other area dealers, and within minutes of completion a sales representative- Conor Stickney- contacted me and… inquired about what my needs were. He told me about a sales event going on and we spoke frankly about numbers for a while, and arranged an appointment for me to come in a few days later. Once there it was super easy, Conor is very laid back and friendly in a genuine way, and we walked the lot looking at all of the vehicle color options in the category I wanted (Altima S). He and the team (Esteban in the loan department) made for the most comfortable, I-don't-feel-like-I'm-getting-ripped-off-or-upsold buying experience I could imagine. Esteban even called me back a day later with a better auto loan rate if I wanted than I had originally signed. All in all the best experience I've had with a dealer. Check them out.Great Experience

He listened to what we wanted and he followed through. My dad,… mom, and me have all our purchased vehicles from him and we've all had great experiences. If you're looking for a new vehicle, Mike is the guy to speak to.Awesome

At first we didn't think we could make a deal as the price was a little higher than we could afford. Ron called us later and asked what would it take for us to… have the car. We drove down the next day and purchased the vehicle. My husband and I are both disabled seniors and they did everything they could to make us comfortable. by MeganGMiller on 07/02/2015I've never felt so ripped off and I once bought a car that had the odometer rolled back 100,000 miles...and that was a better deal than the one we made with them. These guys are good at selling cars and making you feel like you're not… being pressured, which is great. But it doesn't make them any more honest than any other car dealer. And you have to realize that low-pressure sales is still just a sales tactic. It doesn't mean they care about your happiness, it means they want their sale and a good review. Our salesperson, Ted, was really helpful and we liked him a lot, but he was the only positive part of this experience. We recently traded in our car for a used 2013 Pathfinder. When they evaluated our trade, the sales manager, Jeff, said they could not give us more than $2000 due to the condition and because they'd have to sell it at auction and would only get $2000 for it there. We really needed $3000 or at the very least, $2500 to get our payments where we needed them, but (stupidly) we relented. The next day they listed our car for sale for $10,000! Even if they spent $2000 on reconditioning it, they'll make $6,000 and lied right to my face about not being able to sell it. And it's partly our fault because we fell for the crap he was feeding us. And I fear the car we bought is a lemon. We told them the day after we bought it that there's something wrong with it. The steering wheel is angled about 10 degrees to the right and the slightest touch of the wheel and it's veering off all over the lane. It's either out of alignment or there's an issue with the steering being extremely over sensitive. The car is also jerking when finding a gear and shaking a little at low speeds. Anyway, they said they'd have the service department call us for an appointment and we haven't heard from them. If I could return it and take my car back, I'd do it in a second, and I REALLY hated the car we traded in. Please, please do your research first on what you want , your trade value, insist on a longer test drive or multiple test drives to really get a feel for the car, and stick to your guns! Or better yet, find a more honest dealer. Really makes me wonder how many of these positive reviews are legit...especially since they offer to enter you in a drawing for a $100 gift card if you leave a review.Couldn't be happier

Asking other dealerships for numbers beforehand can be extremely frustrating; not the case here as they were… very transparent. I never felt pressured and they made sure my family was well taken care of during the whole process. I will definitely come back when the time comes for another purchase.A++++

by luvmymaxima on 06/23/2015Ok, Its been 72 hours since I surprised my wife with the brand new 2016 Platinum Maxima. She loved it so much I thought she was gonna sleep in it last night. This is the 2nd car I have bought from them in 3 years and my Salesman Mike Garris… made it another great experience. They always make the buying process as easy and stress free as it gets. They are really nice folks and I never felt pressured or pushed throughout the entire buying process. Except when manager Jason Polk wanted my hat :-) Seriously if you want the best possible buying experience and you can do a little homework online first, know what you want and research your cars and the prices online and as I found out yesterday again, they were right inline on the price as all the major websites list. Even cheaper than other dealerships. This is my 2nd Maxima and 4th Nissan and we love them. The quality is 2nd to none and buying from Hudson makes it cost even less. My wife had her last one for 3 years exactly and with the free oil changes the only thing we spent a dime on was gas and car washes. 3 years and not one dime of repair cost. That's the way it is supposed to be. Not only does Mike stop what it was he was doing when you walk in, the managers are very friendly and I never had that feeling, you know the one, when you feel like any minute a volture is gonna sweep in and terrify you and make you spend way more than you can afford on a car that you don't really love. Well its not like that at all. Tommy Russell ( he's The Big Kahuna ) came by a few times to check on us and make sure everything was ok and Jason was a fun guy to talk with. He is from Tampa, Fl so he has a lot to learn about Charleston but he brings a positive, professional & fun way to do business so I think Hudson got a good man there. Even those blood thirsty guys in financing were not near as scary as you would think. Eric had all the paperwork filled out and ready when I walked in, and I probably wasn't in there 6 to 7 minutes. Tommy came by and spoke as I was leaving and made sure again everything was ok and then Mike took his time explaining all the amazing offers this new Maxima has to offer. This car is amazing and has many of the same options that a car costing $25,000 more have, so why spend the extra money when this car has it all and looks amazing as well.
