He was very knowledgeable about the product he… was selling and he didn't try to sell me more than I wanted to pay. He was friendly and patient during negotiations (as was the GM) and I am proud to say I purchased my vehicle from Hudson Nissan. by ronniebrun on 03/05/2015I have bought many new cars, trucks, vans and Motorhomes. My experience purchasing my new 2015 Nissan Frontier from Hudson Nissan was the best ever. My sales adviser Ted Milligan and sales manager Jeff Jacobs were in sink that day. I got a… truck that was the color I wanted and had all the bells and whistle. The MSRP was marked down and the dealership processed two rebates and their loyalty to the military service was shown with a rebate. All the financing was done with a very fair interest rate at the dealership. I received over $4000 more than I owed on my trade in. I never felt that anyone was being dishonest or blowing smoke just to get me to buy their new vehicle. I have bought several vehicles from this dealership and they are loyal to return customers. Thanks to Ted Milligan, Jeff Jacobs and Eric Fly financing department I am driving a brand new 2015 Nissan Frontier Pick-up Truck.Kudos to salesman Ted Milligan!

They were all nice; my favorite was the Rogue, which I test drove through a smaller local Nissan dealership, not Hudson. Negotiations there were a nightmare. My salesperson… kept in contact and promised a different result if I returned, and I negotiated the sale of an Altima, again unsuccessfully. They made me think that I could not qualify for a new car with the features I was looking for and yet they had no used cars that interested me. I went to Hudson ...at night in the pouring rain ... to check their inventory on used cars and was assigned salesman Ted Milligan. He was the epitome of what everyone would hope for in matching you with the car of your dreams. Mine was the Rogue. And Ted found me the perfect one, perfect color, perfect features, and, yes, the perfect financing. Yes! I qualified for a Nissan loan with Nissan's advertised $3500 rebates. Ted negotiated on my behalf, and we ended up with a fair and do-able price and monthly payment. What a difference!!! Casey Jiles, who processed my loan papers, explained each in detail, was all business, yet with a sense of humor. The next day I came back to turn in my old car and pick up my new Rogue. It was Ted's day off, but he came in to make sure my Rogue was squeaky clean with a full tank of gas. He walked me through the Hudson facility, introduced me to the manager of the service department, and explained every detail of my car and programmed my phone for the navigation system. Ted and Casey actually made car buying a pleasant experience. I was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. Their relaxed demeanor showed confidence in their abilities. I love my new Rogue. Having driven the Altima, I can say that, if I had preferred a car to an SUV, I would have been very happy with the Altima. So, if you're car shopping, consider Nissan. If you live in or near the Charleston area, I recommend Hudson. Just make sure you ask for Ted Milligan as your salesman. You won't be disappointed!Great experience

When we forgot a couple of items in the trade-in, he made… arrangements to meet us close to our home to return the items! If you go to Hudson...ask for Ron and you won't be disappointed. As with all dealerships, it took awhile to get everything done...but they made sure we were taken care of with bottled water and freshly popped popcorn! Ask for Ron...Will buy again!

by erikaann1 on 12/02/2014I really enjoyed my experience at Hudson Nissan in North Charleston. My sister, niece and I arrived on the lot before my uncle (who is the one who knows what he is doing) so we drove around the lot a couple of times trying to avoid the… sellers running after us as we have experienced at other lots. When we did get out to look around, we were not bombarded by sales people and it didn't feel overwhelming. I wanted a newer Nissan Rogue and Austin showed us exactly what I wanted that also fell into my price range. I decided I wanted to go ahead inside so we could start talking numbers and they were able to offer a lower interest rate and car payment than the bank auto loan I already had gotten pre approved for. Buying cars is quite a process and I had my 4 year old niece there. Austin was very good with her, gave her popcorn and a drink and told us about the play area they had specifically for kids. When he took the car to the back to get cleaned up, he noticed that there was a piece of paper fluttering in one of the air vents and another air vent was actually missing a piece that we didn't notice before. Instead of ignoring that and selling it to us anyways he made sure I got connected with someone on the lot that would have me bring the car back to be fixed free of charge. Unfortunately I have had experience with lots of cars and after my previous car was sold to me off of a local lot with major engine problems, I was really nervous to get back on the car buying game. All of the staff at Hudson were very welcoming and I felt confident in my buying my 2011 Nissan Rogue. Seriously, we all see ads talking about how family oriented a place is, how we'll work with you and your situation, all the… deals and incentives they offer, how there's no high pressure sales ploys but usually when you get there you find out very quickly this is not the case. No, instead you end up with a place that treats you like the black sheep of the family, might be able to get you into something after you donate a kidney or promise your first born, show a bunch of great deals\incentives that for some reason or other you just don't quite qualify for, all the while breathing down your neck and going buy, buy, buy. Before I even visited the lot I was like most shopping around doing price\service comparisons and contacting their internet reps at various Nissan dealerships around the state, because I knew I wanted a Nissan. First off, Eric F at Hudson was the first to contact me via Internet and phone before any of the other dealers and discuss my situation and what I was looking for. Hudson also had the most appealing deals and after sales services and after speaking with a few of the other Nissan dealerships in the area I decided to focus on Hudson. Anyway, Tuesday after work I decided to go to the Hudson dealership and I was promptly greeted on the lot by Nicole C, who introduced me to Tim J, since my main contact Eric F had just gotten promoted. Tim rocks! Tim has the patience of a saint, he was filled in by myself and Eric and to work he went crunching numbers with Terry, showing me each and every Altima on the lot, answering every question I could come up with never once making me feel silly or under pressure to purchase something I didn't want or more than I was prepared to pay for!! Tim knows his stuff, he's a real people person, and goes above and beyond for his customers and with the help of Melissa L they were able to get me into not a 2013, not a 2014, but a brand spanking new still in the plastic wrap 2015 Nissan Altima with payments I can afford and service beyond any I've seen or heard offered anywhere around!! I will personally be a repeat customer and encourage anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle to check out Hudson Nissan, not only because I love the Nissan brand, but because of people and dealerships like this that make you feel like part of their family, that make you feel like they want your business and that you're not just another number\sales figure to them, and the service doesn't hurt either!Great Experience

This dealership upon my running a Carfax and Autocheck on a 2005 Camry LE, attempted to sell me at full retail price (Edmunds for year mileage and features) a car that had a prior accident. Not a great thing for a car at… full retail price. Oh the carfax and Autocheck got better, a few months later the car was stolen. That is right, a THEFT RECOVERY vehicle (owned by the insurance company) and eventually sold at a particular Auto Auction in Florida. The car upon inspection, was missing it's spare, key fobs, had a rusty jack and no owners manual. Looked like new rims and tires. The initials TOYA was also keyed into the hood of the vehicle in large letters. Take the time to go on IAAI's website and look at THEFT RECOVERY vehicles and see if you would want one. This dealership never revealed any of this to me, so do I really have to say anything more about my experience with Hudson Nissan? Buyer beware.Best Dealer Ever!

Even though Greg is relatively new to the automobile sales industry, I found him very informed about the NIssan product and he was able to… explain features that were new to me. Greg was open and honest and when he didn't know the answer to any of my questions, he was able find the correct answer quickly and didn't try to fool me by guessing. I am still working with Greg and I know that he will do whatever it takes to find the car I need at a price I can afford. I am able to trust Greg - something I honestly didn't expect when I reluctantly began my search for a new vehicle.

Dealer pulled what is known as a "spot delivery scam" on me. They claimed I had been approved for a loan, had me fill out all the paperwork indicating the purchase was a done deal, then called me up a week later saying "we need you to sign a few more documents to wrap this deal up". When I asked what could be left so sign (because I thought it was a done deal) they said "the financing fell through, but we got you approved with another lender". Of course their other lender was charging a higher interest rate. How convenient. Their entire sales agreement was designed to look like a standard sales agreement, with the lender, APR, interest payments, trade-in value, and negotiated price all laid out in writing. I have signed numerous sales agreements before and this one was very believable. What I didnt notice was a clause on page one stating "this sales agreement is conditional upon lender financing at dealer's sole discretion". What this means is they just quoted me any rate they felt like to get me to sign on the dotted line without ever actually submitting my loan for approval. Surprise surprise their great loan was not approved by anyone. The goal was to get me to fall in love with the car and just accept the adjusted rates, which I refused. I gave them back the keys and said I will take my business elsewhere.
