He even came to my house and picked me up to.get my car. He is such a kind person. He wants what is best… for his customers and makes sure they are satisfied. Kudos to the Ray the Singing slaesman. And Did I mention he will sing you into.a car. He has a beautiful singing voice.Deceptive Sales/financing
by sweetsassy on 09/01/2015I purchased a vehicle in 2014 from five star and got the run around then, I ended up doing the legwork to get my own financing. they tried to tell me that I only qualified to get a loan with Santender consumers. Well I went in on last week… to purchase another vehicle and was told that the loan was approved with 2 banks, but I need a co-signer. I obtained a cosigner and specifically told them that I was to be named first on the loan and the other person as the cosigner or they wouldn't sign. Well, that's not what happened. My name is as the cosigner and they are listed as owner. Needless to say, after they got the signature from the other signer, they don't return phone calls and was rather rude in a message that was left. When asked why did our loan go through Santander, when I specifically told them that I didn't like that finance company, I was told that they are the only ones that would finance me. Now this is after you told me that If I had a cosigner I was approved through two different banks. Now they are not returning calls and when I called to speak with the Salesman ( Ray) he tells me that it's financing, but he was the one that relayed all of this information before even going into financing. I don't like deceitful people and that's what they are at five-star automotive in Florence SC!!!! Also, when asked if I was referred I told him yes and he refussed to give the referrel fee to the person that referred me. You would think that since I was a returning customer that they would be happy to give the referral fee to my friend. I will not be referring Five Star automotive in Florence SC to anyone. Also, about a month ago I referred someone to them and they forgot to give them my name, so when I emailed the salesman (Elliott), I was told (in all caps) that no name was given at time of sale!! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a try again, thinking it was just the salesman, but no they are all deceptive and shady. They pressure you into doing your online review of them before leaving, that way once you realize that they are shady and deceptive it would be too late. So, yes I did give them good stars on google reviews, but their aftercare sucks!!! If you go please have your financing already in place.!!!!Five star Chevy

by Rusticapache on 03/18/2015After stopping by many dealerships on the past week, we pulled into Five Star Chevrolet, got out to look around and a young man approach me and ask how he could help me, I told him I had a challenge, explained to him i was approved for a… certain amount, and I was looking for a certain vehicle. Andrew Neal was this young man, his comment was "I will get this worked out", he also said "If I get this, will you buy today", I told him I would. I had my doubts, but Andrew got it done. Andrew is also a very nice and pleasant young man, I will recommend Andrew Neal and Five Star Chevrolet to everyone I know. Also very happy to be Andrew's first customer.Exceptional Sales Experience
by HenryJM on 01/06/2015I usually don't write reviews but I received some exceptional service and thought that it shouldn't go unrecognized... I owned a Cadillac Escalade that I absolutely loved! I begin to have problems and almost every week I was having to spend… money to have something repaired... So I got fed up and began shopping for a new vehicle... One day as I was driving home I passed by FiveStar and decided to check out their inventory... Immediately I was greeted by this friendly gentleman by the name of Ray The Singing Salesman Neal... He was very courteous and showed patience as I looked around... I'm a senior citizen and now a days it seems like everyone is in a Rush and don't want to take the time to assist us... So when he showed patience that was a factor in me wanting to do business at the establishment... I felt confident I wasn't going to be rushed nor have a vehicle pushed on me I really didn't want... After discussing prices and looking at what each vehicle had to offer I eventually came upon this beautiful BMW SUV... It was everything and more that I was looking for in my next vehicle... From there Mr Ray and I discussed the details to seal the deal... I left satisfied and could not be any happier! I would definitely recommend this business to my family and friends! I am not sure this will reach the right personnel but if it does please give Mr Ray the singing salesman some sort of recognition... The truck 2012 chevy Colorado crew cab was just what I was looking for. I really liked the atmosphere… there so much that I told a friend about it and he bought a new truck there also. I have 2 kids that will be needed a vehicle one day. by medimisr on 10/24/2012updated 05/28/2025So I had been shopping around for the new BMW 5-series for MONTHS trying to find the right car for the right deal. Came to the conclusion that since I wanted it so customized, I would have to have it built new, which usually costs a pretty… penny. I had found a pretty solid deal at a third-party leasing agency, but figured it was worth a shot to see if BMW could do better. Went to Five Star Florence and was not only surprised that they matched the deal (with a few unexpected options included), but also with the level of professionalism and individual care the sales rep had taken with me. Two gentlemen in particular, Karan and Robert, seemed to go to the lengths of their abilities to accomodate my needs. I have had very, very bad experiences in the past car shopping. Usually with used car dealers in particular... But I was more than pleased with these guys. Got such a good deal I left the dealership feeling like I just stole from the guys! Oh and I don't know if it has anything to do with them in particular, but I was lucky enough to have my car built and delivered from Germany in a record 4 1/2 weeks, rather than the typical 6-8 weeks most people wait. Couldn't be a happier driver! Ultimate Driving Machine!!!Not a happy buyer of $24000 truck that after 3 weeks left me with out wheel
by ryccy001 on 08/08/2012updated 05/28/2025I went to this place to look at a truck I saw online and when I got there I was happy with how the truck looked and sounded on the lot I was trading in the same kind of truck but 4 years older I liked my make so I wanted to upgrade The… dealership is about 130 miles away and after spending all day there I bought the truck I can count at least 5 different lies that I was told going from can't transfer tags and had to get new one to asking what kind of warranty I was getting and told one thing but it was not marked on my copy of the paper at all only to find out it was the cheap one that could be given at top price I was always told I do not know the answer to dang near all my question by my sale person but he wanted me to sign all the papers and agree to buying before I even knew what kind of payment I had I said no but he kept asking and asking but he did not know any answer to my question and said oh we will take care of you just sign Well I didn't and when I got to the finance dept He hit me with a high payment and kept making it lower but i see now he cut out things that was important and just didn't share how he was coming up with the new numbers I found out when my truck transmission went bad on me They knew it was bad that's why they had it for over 3 months and the finance man told me I needed to buy a warranty He kept saying I strongly recommend that I do I know why now But I was going to anyway Well 3 weeks later comes the truck problems and the 30 days 1000 mile warranty I thought would be there but no I was over by like 200 miles but wait I drove home 130 miles then had to go back and finish the paper work and that was like 260 mile more making it almost 400 mile just doing business off my 1000 mile so I have to pay $250 deductible for getting a new transmission and it will take a week to 10 days to get it fixed plus the battery in the truck is bad and making the truck computer not work properly so they want $130 (plus tax) for that and there are a few other things they are checking on to see if they can get factory help on fixing So after getting a loan for buying I am spending more money to get it fixed right with in 3 weeks of buying Oh and I have nothing to drive for that 10 days plus the days gone waiting to find out what was wrong with my truck And as far as the company caring well I got I never said that and we are with in the law as far as the sale went But you can come back if you want and we will see what we can do To me that is a day from work $60 to $70 bucks gas and could still be stuck with a $250 deductible with no way home or maybe not even making it there So maybe that might have been good to go back to the dealer but after looking back over what all happen I really do not see them helping in no form I know there are good dealer out there It just sucks that I couldn't find one for my big birthday buy My birthday is in 2 days and I wanted to buy my truck early so we would be ready to go on a family trip on my birthday But there will be no family trip with out my truck because it is going to be in the shop Oh I told the finance mgr about the trip and that's why I wanted to transfer the tag and he said it couldn't be done but when they got my new tag I did transfer my old one even if he said it couldn't be done I had to pay $10 for it but I have a IN GOD WE TRUST tag and wanted a new one of them if I had to get a new one and I told my sale person that and he called me and said he took care of it and I would get one and no I didn't get one Thanks Guys at Five Star Chevrolet Florence I will never forget this horrible experienceStay Away

I countered and they assured they could reach a deal as we were "so close". Drove and hour and a half and: 1. Met with… Internet Sales Advisor, passed on to floor salesman. Good. 2. Test drove vehicle, co-piloted trade in vehicle. 3. Quoted a price for the "new" car $2,000 over internet price and $300 over MSRP. Offered only half of what other dealers offered in trade. When I called that out: 4. Returned with MSRP (still above by internet price by $1,000) and failed to account for Chevy Confidence Rebate. When asked, sales rep never heard of it. (They are either undertrained or greedy). 5. Returned again with Internet Price minus Rebate, still 1/2 under Fair Trade Value. 6. Returned again and matched other dealer trade in offer, but I was notified it was against GM Policy for Dealers to sell under MSRP (I Call a BS Flag on that). 7. Finally received my keys after 4 requests and departed. They could have tried to sell me the car for 1/2 of invoice at that point, I was disgusted and will never recommend this dealer. Vehicle was a 2012 Camaro. They have "several" sitting on the lot while the 2013's are now arriving. by mechel1 on 08/17/2013updated 05/28/2025bought 2 cars from this place,promised they would fix a door that had been damaged by someone trying to break into it before I bought it.they have had it for several weeks,sent it somewhere,so they say to be fixed, paint everywhere and in… worse shape than when I left it there weeks ago.keep lieing saying its in shop when I went there and it was in same place I parked it a week ago.then 3 days later call me wanting loaner car back and saying car is fixed.get there and still same mess as when I left it from the first 2 weeks they said it was fixed with it worse and paint everywhere.so I guess that's the thanks and respect u get for buying 2 cars from them.dont buy from them cause they don't do what they say they will do.such a joke place to deal with....
