Great service

She kept me informed of my cars progress coming over to me telling me what I need for inspection and to further my cars life. What I… like she made suggestions and was not forceful trying to make you buy. I had fast service and the building is clean. Though it's much further away, thank God for SLOANE Honda! ...… Especially it's Service Department which have done two repairs we are pleased with, and in particular my new Service Rep Dan Mccarthy who is a personable, professional, and in my estimation honourable man who does not attempt to gouge a customer past more than needs to be fixed ... Being retired and on a fixed income, this type of trust means a lot! I think we've found our new Service home! Ray & GeanRay and Gean, we're delighted to hear that Dan and our Sloane Honda Service Department have earned your trust. Thirty- Four Years of Great Service.
by Ellen Fierman on 02/14/2024I've had my cars serviced by this dealership since I bought my first Honda there in 1989. They've always taken the very best care of my cars and of me as a customer. During my most recent visit, for state inspection, it was found that my… car needed some serious brake work. My Service Advisor, Steve Patterson, was the best! He fully explained the needed repairs, showed me all costs, and presented options to get the work done at the best possible price. Since some parts had to be ordered, I was told that it would probably take two days for everything to be done. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my car was ready the next day. I couldn't have asked for more. Thanks to Steve and to Honda, my "Baby," a 1997 Civic, is still running strong.Ellen, it's great to know that you've been with us since 1989 at Sloane Honda! We're glad Steve was able to assist in getting your '97 Civic back on the road quickly and efficiently. Here's to many more years of service together!

Horrible Service Experience: Unresponsive Agent, Overcharged, Slow Service
by DissatisfiedSloanHondaCustomer on 01/15/2024This was by far the worst car service experience in my 6+ years going to this dealership for routine service. I dropped off my car before 9am the prior day and it was not complete until the next day. My customer service agent was… unresponsive to my calls where I had wait 3 plus hours for him to return my calls, each time I called, regarding responding to his service recommendations and he was equally unresponsive via text. With all the delays by not getting back to me in time, they were unable to complete my car service (routine service and additional maintenance) until the next day. Additionally, my service representative's corporate email was not working so he requested that I send documents to his personal email address. Then the cherry on top of all this was that they tried to overcharge me on my service by not automatically waiving my complementary state inspection with my car service (as I purchased my car from the dealership) which we caught when I requested to walk through the final bill with them since it seemed too high - they removed it after my first review of the bill. Finally, when they sent me an updated bill (as I got some additional service done), which still looked too high, they said discounts would be shown on another bill which they will print and cannot show me, and they don't have time to review my bill so they just applied an additional discount. I still think I overpaid for all my service done that day but needed my car at this point. This appointment was a disaster which took up a lot of time by needing to call the dealership to get through to my agent, the service took way longer than what is reasonable, and finally I was likely overcharged for my service.I'm truly sorry to read about your recent service experience. It's disappointing to know that you feel like we fell short in several areas, from communication to billing transparency and the timeliness of the work done. This is not indicative of our usual standards and I'd like an opportunity to try to make things right for you. Meets expectations

Steve, my service rep, was nice and willing to explain more when I had questions.But I still felt like I had to ask in order to get… information on my car and services offered, some of which I would have expected to be explained up front. Rude, unfriendly, argumentative, no customer satisfaction principles
by gls man on 09/23/2023The service advisors I was working with (Zaire and the woman whose name is unknown to me) were rude, unfriendly, and argumentative. Initially, they refused to perform the work I scheduled online (to remove the screw from the tire, and to… address the frozen infotainment screen) unless I'd drop the car off for the entire day, despite the fact I selected an option to "wait at the dealership" rather than dropping the car off for the entire day. I told the advisor I am OK with fixing the screw problem only. The labour was supposed to be 1.5 hours initially, and then it was extended to 2.5 hours because they needed to contact Zurich insurance. It took the service technician over three hours to remove the screw and to fix the tire, which actually takes about 25 minutes and costs $20 at the tire center. I was never notified that the job was completed until I texted Zaire myself. Zaire replied that the car was ready an hour ago but he never texted me with the status because he assumed that I dropped the car for the entire day (?), he was argumentative and never apologized. Now, I understand the reason why this service center is rated low amongst other Honda dealerships in the area. I am not recommending to use this service center, unless they train their so called "service advisors" on the customer satisfaction principles.I'm really sorry to read about your experience. This is not the level of service we aim for and I apologize if our team didn't meet those standards during your visit. We're always looking for ways to improve, so feedback like yours is invaluable. Here is the follow up. Last Monday 10/9/23, it was the second chance I gave to Sloane Honda Service department before dropping them for unprofessionalism. And they failed again. This time, I scheduled an appointment for an A16 minder (Oil and filter change, and tires rotation), as well as for addressing the ongoing issue with a freezing infotainment touch screen. Randy, the Service Manager, was attentive and polite. He promised that all will be done at the best, including masking a tiny scratch on the hood. After 5 hours of waiting, I was notified by Randy that the car was ready for pick up. He reported that everything was done, except the technician was not able to re-create the issue with the freezing infotainment screen and just reset it to the factory settings. Here is what was found when inspected the car at home: - The tires were not rotated. I found the front passenger-side tire that they patched last time in the same exact location where it was before I dropped my car at the service center. - The infotainment touch screen issue was not addressed. After these findings I immediately called the Service Department asking to speak with Randy (with whom I spoke literally 10 minutes ago). The operator reported that Randy is not available, but he will return my call the next day. It never happened. This is unacceptable. The Sloane Honda's customer service is not just of the lowest quality, but the service itself is fraudulent! Will I go back to the Sloane Honda Service in the future – NO Will I recommend the Sloane Honda Service to the friends and family – NO PS I could visually check whether the tires were rotated but how can I trust this service center with the other things they do (or do not do) to my car? Be aware!
Bad service at Sloane Honda
by Oil change on 07/13/2023I went to Honda Sloane Philadelphia for an oil change. I waited in the car line for an hour. Everytime I go to Honda for service I stand there inside and all the service agents ignore me. I wanted to talk to the manager but he was with… someone from the office and ignored me. When I went to the window to pay for service I was ignored until I said hello I am here for my car and was told to hold on a minute. My car’s bumper was slightly off when I left my car for an oil change and was hanging off when the service man brought it to me. When I went to talk to the manager I ended up just leaving because I was again ignored. I have bought 3 cars from this dealership. I won’t go back for service or to buy another Honda there again.I apologize for the poor experience you had during your recent visit to our dealership. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and it's dismaying that we fell short of your expectations. I would like to personally address the issue with your bumper and assist in any way I can.
