  • Purchase of a certified preowned 2013 Legacy

    I had researched various models of the 2013 Honda, Toyota, and Subarus for my particular driving needs and decided upon a 2013 Legacy Limited. This research included reviewing stock from most of the Oregon Subaru dealerships along the I-5… corridor and then some. Based upon a number of factors, I purchased a 2013 2.5i Legacy Limited from Kendall Subaru of Eugene. These factors included, but not limited to the following: customer friendliness; sales staff’s extensive knowledge of the vehicle; solid reputation for standing behind their sales; review of other satisfied customer reviews; and their service department’s reputation as being honest, affordable, and quick to deliver without excessive or unneeded repairs. The entire experience with Kendall Subaru was very pleasant and informative, to include an absence of pressure to make a purchase. From the time I arrived at the dealership's lot to when I subsequently drove away with my Legacy a week later, I was always treated professionally and with respect. Sales representative Kevin P. was extremely friendly, polite, and informative. He never once tried to sell me a vehicle he thought I might like, but listened carefully to my driving needs and then discussed what options were available in stock to fit what I was looking for in a purchase. At no time did he ever try to pressure me into a purchase. In fact, I left the lot the first meeting to continue further research and he didn’t try any sales tactics to prevent me from departing. I kept in contact with him throughout the week and came back to look at a vehicle he recommended. After I made the purchase he spent additional time with me in the vehicle to demonstrate various features, to include synching my mobile telephone with the vehicle’s Bluetooth and then assisting with the storage of some frequently called telephone numbers. He went above and beyond what was expected of a sales representative. He was great to work with throughout the purchase. The finance representative, Jered A., who closed the financial aspects of the purchase, was extremely professional and helpful and made this process very satisfying and without any surprises. Kendall’s staff is indeed professionals. Overall, I highly recommend making a purchase from Kendall Subaru if you desire a very friendly, helpful, and professional environment that is free of pressure to make a buy at that moment. Ask for Kevin P. if you want a hassle free purchase and have confidence in being treated right.

    I just bought a new Outback Premium and I could not be happier with my sales experience. I worked with John Bergland and he was fantastic. No games at all. He and I emailed a few times. He found the car I wanted. Quoted me a fair price… upfront and no pressure. Kendall offered me fair prices for my trades and we made a deal. No BS from them at all. And to top it all off John gave me a free bumper cover for my new car on him. Outstanding customer service. Way above my expectations. John and the team there made me a customer for life. Thank You to John, Tony and Austin.

    I bought a new Forester. I had some very specific requirements and the Forester met these best. I was very pleased with our salesman Shaun. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We did a lot of shopping and went back to the dealership… several times, the was always very personable and helpful. He went out of his way to come to me to look at my trade. The sales process was a little slower than I would have liked, but quicker than others I remember from previous buys at other dealers.

    I absolutely loath the normal BS of the new car buying experience and can not stand the typical smooth-talking, "slick" type of car salesman... My experience at Kendall Subaru of Eugene was a completely different experience than I've EVER… had buying a new car. And that's a GOOD thing! I dealt with John Bergland via emails only until I called to place a deposit on the car. He could NOT have been more helpful in answering all questions (VERY quickly), and couldn't have more professional and efficient. NEVER any of the "sales-guy-double-talk" or even a hint of "high pressure", and we exchanged a LOT of e-mails back and forth before my deposit was placed. Drove two hours to the dealership to test drive (and buy) this '12 Outback, and it was the same story. John couldn't have been more friendly, professional, efficient and NO last minute "sales tactics". He took me for almost a HOUR test drive because he wanted to make sure I knew what the car was capable of, and that I knew it inside and out. I also came away just generally feeling that this was overall a "CLASS" operation, and that it wasn't just a "fluke" that I ended up with the "one good salesman". Everyone in the operation seemed genuinely friendly, LOW pressure, and wanting to make the experience a pleasant one. Of course, I had to sit through the requiste talk with the Finance person as to why I needed the extended warranty and other add ons, but even she (Stacey) was extremely friendly, NOT pushy in the least, and remained extremely friendly even after I nicely said "No" to all things offered. Maybe Subaru salesmen don't need to use the "Old School" tactics because the cars virtually sell themselves... All I can say is this was unlike any new car buying experience I've ever had...and I would most definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Subaru!
