Purchase of new Jeep
by Kathryn on 08/03/2023I got a wonderful sales person named Dejon on my first call to set up a test drive. Took my grandaughter with me and we loved the Jeep from the very start. I already knew I wanted one of these and Devon made the the experience so easy and… pleasant. I told her what I wanted and two weeks later I’m in my wonderful new Jeep! First time buying a car on my own so a little anxiety at first but quickly went away after working with DejonKathryn, we're happy you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. I have sense gotten documentation of the 2 additional payments but… havenât received.Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for what you have experience. by Thomaslockhart on 05/17/2015*WARNING!! WARRANTY WARNING!* We bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sahara brand new at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge. We did not care to get the extended warranty but the guy in financing told us that if we never used the warranty we would get… all of our money back (not a prorated amount). He even highlighted in the paperwork where it said that. So, we paid $2700 for the extended warranty that we didn't want in the first place. Flash forward to this year. We traded in the Jeep to buy a truck. We had never used the warranty. We called South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge to get our money back for the warranty. Julia Matulis told us that since we didn't keep the warranty for the whole time we would only get 27% of what we paid back. The warranty was for 6 years, 72,000 miles. We had it for 5 years, 50,000 miles. WE WERE NEVER TOLD WE HAD TO KEEP THE WARRANTY UNTIL IT EXPIRED TO GET 100% OF THE MONEY BACK. We were told if we never used the warranty, we would get 100% of what we paid back. I drove there to talk to Julia Matilus in person. I showed her where the finance guy had highlighted saying we were getting 100% back. She told us that if it were their other finance guy she would believe that he lied and she would do something about it but not the one we had because she had known him for 5 years and he would never mislead us. She said its a he-said/she-said matter and she believes him, not us. He told us we would get 100% of the money we paid back. He skipped over the fine print saying we had to keep it for the life of the warranty to get the 100% back and purposefully mislead us. Now they refuse to help us in rectifying this matter. We will NEVER purchase from company's who hide things in small print, blatantly lie to us, and treat us with such disrespect. We would have gladly referred all friends and family to buy from South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge but now I will never. Julia Matilus and everyone else we talked to about this matter have been extremely rude and unhelpful.Mr. Lockhart, I am very sorry for the miscommunication and the inconvenience it has caused. Unfortunately, with this warranty company, they only pay 100% back if you keep the contract to the full term.
