2025 Chevrolet Suburban -- SouthPointe Chevrolet Dealership

Bob Vanhouse sold us our 2017 Chevrolet Suburban. He was honest, straightforward and kind. For 8 years, we had our Suburban serviced at SouthPointe Chevrolet -- we consistently received excellent service. So, when the time came to purchase a new car, we went back to Bob to help us find the new car we wanted. Purchasing a new car has changed a lot in the last 8 years. We gave Bob a list of exactly what we wanted in our new car and he patiently persevered with us and kept looking for a car for us -- even when we changed our minds frequently and were indecisive. He never ever got impatient with us -- nor did he try to pressure us into changing our minds or desires. We experienced a few obstacles --a few of them were major --in the vehicle buying process -- these were all outside the control of SouthPointe Chevrolet. However, the team we worked with at this dealership --Bob Vanhouse, Matthew Gregory in finance and Jon Halford -- repeatedly went above and beyond to help us and clear up every obstacle. Truly -- men of their word. We would buy another vehicle from SouthPointe in a heartbeat. I hope we get to work with these men again one day.

  • Ugh

    The service member who helped me made me feel like he was trying to scam me. First, he did not open my door to speak to be at drop off. After being in my truck for a few minutes, I opened my door and he came over. Then he sent me a text saying what all was wrong with my truck asking me to approve the work via a website. The total for said work was over $2,000. I asked him via text if he would come and explain to me what was going on and he replied for me to come to service bay and find him. Then I asked about my warranty and he said did you buy one? Chevy comes with a 60k/5yr power train warranty which would of covered a couple big ticket items on the long list of things he said needed fixed. What really got me is when my husband takes my truck he get yes sir, no sir and they come to waiting room and talk to him. I get texts, you come to me and not once was I called ma’am. Being a women shouldn’t be a liability. I took my truck over to Jim Glover where they treat me with the most respect and where they know what the standard warranty is on all Chevys. It’s a real bummer because your dealership is less than 5 minutes from my house.

    Service advisor Collin was very nice. He took the time to explain everything to me. And they didn't try to force me into having work done that didn't need to be done. Had to answer "no" to some of the questions below because there was no work done at this time.

    Mary Harris was our sales lady. And she was just the absolute best. She did her very best to pick a car that was in our budget. She did not hassle my husband or myself.   • Poor communication & returned filthy vehicle

    The communication was extremely poor and it took multiple weeks to get the vehicle back. The vehicle was returned with a filthy interior from where the service people foot prints were all in the inside on the upholstery.
