  • Outrageously overcharged

    In the past this has been a great dealership with reasonable pricing for service. My car has been serviced many times here. However the service and pricing has fallen badly. Brought my car in to have the emergency wires replaced that go from the gas tank to the motor. They could not find a new harness so they rewired the six wires. The cost for the wires was about $10. They charged me 825.50 for labor and another 39 for misc. this is gouging and I have contacted both the Gm and the service manager and have yet to hear back from them.

    Normal oil change plus check on cruise control. Quick and efficient. Found nothing wrong with the cruise control and in a diplomatic way suggested it might be operator error. No charge for that. Drew was outstanding.

    I had my car serviced today and my oil changed. My service advisor Jason was a pleasure to work with. He let me know what was going on with my car and stated it would take a little longer than he first stated since there was another issue with my car and also what the additional cost would be for the repairs. I appreciated the fact that he didn’t just tell me about the problem and let me sitting not knowing it would be a longer wait.

    They are very attentive. They go out of their way to answer questions and stay right on top of the deal. The salesperson we had was wonderful and I never had to wait for answers he was right on top of it. They are very professional and make great deals. It is the third car purchased there

  • Issues with Service Department

    I dropped my car off on a Monday evening to have a diagnostic test done to see what was wrong. I received a call on Wednesday morning (as Tuesday was too busy to look at it) letting me know it needed a new battery, brake pads and a rear end alignment. I was out of town and coming back Saturday and I looked forward to picking my car up then as it sounded like basic fixes and nothing major. When I was on my way back Saturday morning, I called and was told by an advisor that the parts were in, and they were working on my car and that it should be ready by end of day. I then got a call a few hours later saying that when they went to look at the brake pads, they were covered in grease and they were not the right ones, so they would have to reorder them for Monday morning. I was told the parts would be in by 8-9am and done by noon. I was disappointed that Saturday morning, it made it sound like all was well. Why would I be told they were working on things and that my tires were off the vehicle if they had the wrong brake pads? Monday, I called around 10am and an advisor who was not mine said he would have my advisor call me. This felt like a brush back as any other time I have called the advisor I spoke with was able to give me updates. They said my advisor was on a test drive and would call me shortly. I had to call back an hour later. Got another advisor who got me in contact with my advisor. I was then told; he would go back and talk to the tech working on my vehicle and get back to me shortly with an update. I then had to call back an hour and a half after that. Got another advisor, who put me on a hold after hearing my issue, then my current advisor picked up the line to give me an update. It was very frustrating experience overall. My advisor had tried to tell me about great deals on regular service like oil changes when I dropped my car off, but this is 100% the reason why I would prefer to go elsewhere for basic service as they cannot seem to address the larger issues in a timely fashion or keeping the client updated with any news (bad news included). Any time I was to receive bad news about my service update, I was either told they would call me later or someone else passed the buck to another rep.

    When possible you should always go to the dealership. I have been using the Chevy service dept at Bob howard for all our needs and they never disappoint. This last time I went in for a evac canister replacement part the price was fair in the middle of other quotes but would be well worth the honest job and integrity knowing they will not do you wrong. Turned out the found a recall or service bulletin which was a life saver at the moment which became the better news we are all fixed up and it did not cost me a weeks wages. God bless you ladies and gentlemen at Bob Howard and have a great week.
