    We bought a used vehicle from Bob Howard Buick GMC. Our salesman was Mr. Williams. Our experience working with Mr. Williams was great! He was a joy to talk to and he listened. We were in and out with our new used vehicle as quickly as possible but did not feel rushed. The entire team was very friendly and personable.

  • Not the normal service I receive

    I’ve been taking my car for service at Bob Howard GMC since I bought it. I always get exceptional friendly service however today not so much. My service representative never updated me once on anything that was going on with my car. I had to reach out and was told it was ready yet then when I got their the paperwork wasn’t ready to go. Then somehow there was an error that said I paid when I didn’t so I took care of that. I also paid for a full detail on the car and it was an awful job! I still had tons of bug guts on the front of my car! I was shocked. I have used their detailing before but won’t be again after this. There was also still so much dust on my dash I wiped it with a finger. I’m convinced they just vacuumed, put a new car smell in there and sprayed the wheels and called it a day. Overall disappointment today.

  • Waiting on oil from Russia!

    A lack of communication and excuses made for an unpleasant experience with Bob Howard. I waited 4 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. After 3 hours and an unanswered phone call to my service advisor, I finally went to see where my car was. I was told 20 more minutes and that became an hour.

    Service was nice friendly but they no longer wash car and vacuum with oil change in spite prices have went up.

    Dropped SUV off on a Monday night for AC issues, told them we were leaving town Friday and needing it done asap. Ended up needing a full system replacement. Carl found out I had warranty left and had an entire AC system replaced in a couple days!

  • Service Advisor lies, Mechanic during engine replacment damaged A/C system

    While traveling out of state through Oklahoma City my vehicle gave me engine knocking noise problems with a pending engine code P0018. Had it towed to a privately owned garage and they determined with there diagnostic I needed a re-manufactured engine from Bob Howard Parts Distribution Center with a 12 month 12K mile warranty. I decided for a little more money to have Bob Howard Buick GMC Service center do the engine replacement for their 3 year 100K mile warranty. I had the vehicle towed from private garage to Bob Howard Buick GMC, this was a big mistake. The Service Advisor at Bob Howard Buick GMC told me I would need to pay for another diagnostic so they can determine if I really needed a re-manufactured engine so they can save me money with an unnecessary engine replacement. I was told my the Service advisor if I needed a re-manufactured engine replacement it would cost me $8505.00. I was told by the Service Advisor she over estimated the cost so it actually would be a lessor price and make me the customer feel good about the actual lower cost after replacement. I had the vehicle towed to the service center on Monday June 6th. I was told by the Service Advisor that if my vehicle needed a re-manufactured engine the vehicle would be ready by that Thursday or Friday. At no time during this whole fiasco did I ever receive an update from the Service Advisor. I had to always initiate a call for an update on the status of my vehicle. With not receiving a phone call from them I called Wednesday morning for an update and was told by the Service Advisor I needed an re-manufactured engine with no specifics as what was the cause of the engine knocking. I was told my vehicle would be ready late Thursday or Friday. I called the Service Advisor on Friday afternoon for an updated and was told the re-manufactured engine they installed had a problem with it and it would be late Friday or into Monday before I get my vehicle. On Monday I was told by my Service Advisor, a team consisting of Service Manager, Master Mechanic, the Mechanic assigned to my vehicle and a GM engineer were working hard to find the problem. I was told a timing chain tensioner was found floating on the chain and was defective needed replacing. They were also experiencing engine trouble codes. I later learned from the service receipt the Service Advisor was lying to me about the trouble codes, she mentioned they were getting a P0018. The service receipt with mechanics noted did not indicate they were getting the P0018 code I was getting on the old engine. The Service Advisor not being a certified mechanic herself kept on telling me she thought the problem was an ECU (computer problem). Of course she would think that. This would put the blame on another costly part and divert the blame from the defective re-manufactured engine. At that point I realized these Service Advisors are equivalent to used car salesmen trying to sell more service and parts. As it turned out I finally received my vehicle a week later on Wednesday morning June 15. The problem the team determined was that the mechanic had transferred a defective non OEM Cam Actuator parts from my older engine to the new re-manufactured engine. I purchased this Vehicle used, back in December 2021 and only put 2900 miles when it broke down. The service advisor asked me if I installed the non OEM Cam Actuator part of which I responded I did not. I asked the service advisor why did the mechanic transfer non OEM parts to the new re manufactured engine of which she responded “I want to know the same thing” I told her, I had only replaced the P0018 code which is the Cam Position Sensor with an OEM AC Delco part for Bank 2 Sensor A and did an oil and filter change. According to the mechanics notes on my receipt none of the previous codes I was getting on the old engine were listed in the mechanics notes. Here is the troubling part, Ms nice sounding lady Service Advisor makes allot of excuses to defend Bob Howard service departmental. I went to pick up my vehicle and after paying the $8770.00 not the estimated $8505,00 with possible discount., when I opened the hood for a brief inspection and I was surprised to discover the coolant reservoir was empty with maybe a tablespoon of coolant in the reservoir. I went to get the Service Advisor and she mentioned it could be an air pocket when the mechanic refilled the coolant in the vehicle. Why didn't the mechanic make sure the reservoir was filled to the correct level before handing the vehicle back to the costumer. She drove the vehicle back to the shop to top off the coolant to the correct level. That day Wednesday June 15th I drove approximately 595 miles, and when I pulled into the hotel to park I noticed I lost power steering. Next day Thursday morning June 16th before leaving hotel parking lot, while checking the power steering fluid level of which was low below the 'Min” line I also noticed the Air Conditioning High Port Schrader Valve protective cover was missing and I noticed there was Freon slowly fizzling. I texted the Service Advisor with photo and she told me that she would get with the mechanics and that I should purchase a protective cover at an auto parts place. I told her that she should have her parts department ship me that part. She responded OK. After 5 hours of driving and with seven hours left to go in 93 degree temperature and stuck in traffic the air conditioner gave out. My wife and I being elderly with health issues and trying to call the Service Advisor at 1:59 PM with no responds I left her a message with no responds or call back. The next day Friday, June 17th at home I had several text messages with the Service Advisor and she told me the the mechanic told her the A/C was worked on before. I told the Service Advisor I never had any problem with the A/C and Power steering system until the vehicle was at there service station. I told the Service Advisor the only person who had there hands in the vehicle was their mechanic when he had to manipulate and service the A/C and Power steering system to replace the re-manufactured engine. I was told her Service Manager told me to take the vehicle to a “Dealer” for them to determine the issue. After all this I read the receipt in its entirety and it was determined according to the mechanics notes that yes it was their mechanic who was the last person to evacuate the A/C system and refill with 2.48oz of R134 Freon and it was their mechanic who bled and refilled the power stirring fluid. It is also noted my passenger side headlamp was also found not working (was a connector left off?). I will take the vehicle to the dealer as they suggested but I will not pay for the countless errors, many hours and their mechanic workmanship in not making sure all fluids were topped off correctly, all systems operating correctly and not putting parts back where they were originally. As long as Bob Howard has in my opinion used car salesman as their Service Advisors and inept mechanics, I do not recommend Bob Howard Buick GMC service center. As a positive note the master mechanic (Paul) I spoke to was honest and made it clear the issues they were having with the re-manufactured engine. Also the replacement re-manufactured engine worked just fine, for now. I will have the GMC Dealership inspect all aspects of the correct engine istallation for any missplaced and missing parts at Bob Howard GMC expense.

    • I took my vehicle to my local GMC service center as advised by my Bob Howard Buick GMC service advisor and they will repair the issue with my A/C system and power steering problem. My service advisor is making things right and they mentioned they will pay for the repairs. Thanks to Bob Howard and my service advisor for making things right.

    I scheduled an appointment to have an oil change. When I called I was offered 7:00am, as the first available, which I agreed to. Dropped car off a few minutes before 7:00 only to be told that the technicians don’t arrive until 8:00 - WTH!!! Actual service was fine, Service Advisor, Peggy Jones was friendly and I believe did what she could to help.

    Sales people were friendly and overall very professional. However after I left the dealership, i had some questions. I called a d left message but could not get my sales person on the phone. I didn't have a complaint just had some questions. I first attempted to call service department. They referred me to my sales person. Reached out to him....No response. Pretty dang sorry. I remember purchasing a vehicle from a dealership in Norman years ago. The sales person reached out to me on two different occasions to see if I had any problems. (Phone call) That's all part of taking care of the customer.
