You'll be in for a pressure-packed experience, unless you just want to pay sticker price and get a low amount for your… trade-in. He said there weren't any out there. We went to 2 other dealers and they… not only had them on the lot but searched for numerous others.Always Satisfied

It's my first new car deal with Healey. I dealt directly with Michael and Eric F. and I couldn't ask for anything… to be better or have gone smoother. I began my pre-approval at 11am and walked out the door with the exact car I wanted by 3:30pm. I didn't even get to the dealership until probably 1pm. The whole experience was like a dream. They were honest, more than fair and truly helped me with every aspect of buying my car. God bless them. I have always referred to Healey (both my mother and daughter have recently purchased cars), but now I refer directly to Healey Chevrolet (I love GM and Chevrolet) and have already shared this everyone I know personally and professionally.Arrogant and Rude
by Stevenplanck on 06/19/2013updated 06/06/2025My wife and I bought a used 2011 Kia Sorento from Thomas M. at Healey Brothers Chevrolet in Poughkeepsie on June 13, 2013 for $23,237.75. We singed all kinds of paperwork, receipts, DMV registration papers, loan documents, etc; they gave us… a temporary registration and we drove it of the lot that day. On June 18, 5 days later, Kevin from their finance department called me at work to tell me that they couldn't account for all of our deposit and demanded a credit card over the phone. I told him no, but that I would stop by to help them resolve the matter and I was sitting in his office in less than an hour. It was me, Kevin, Andy (the general manager) and Thomas. We talked for all of about 5 minutes, with each of them, except for Thomas, accusing me of trying to get one over on them, saying that I was stealing and that I could recant my position at anytime without persecution or penalty. They were rude, obnoxious and arrogant. They told me that they could get the money from me if they had to, that they could call the police and that I should do the right thing. I told them that I remembered giving the money to Thomas, but they continued badgering me. It was the most uncomfortable car buying experience of my life. So, I promptly stood up and told them where to go. I said I was calling my lawyer and my wife and then I left. Later that day Bill B. called me, the Healey Brothers Chevrolet manager. At first he was nice, pleasant to talk to and very respectful. He explained that in is 25 years experience that he couldn't recall this ever happening. He said that he was sure that it was us misunderstanding and that we could resolve the matter pleasantly. I told him about my experiences earlier in the day and asked if we could return the car, because I didn't want to do business with them and he agreed. I also told him that I was waiting for my wife to get out of a meeting so that I could talk to her, because my recollection of the events was that we gave the money to Thomas M., but I wanted confirm this with her; my wife's pregnant, we had been in the hospital three days earlier for complications with her pregnancy, were running late for a doctors appointment that day and we had a broken water main at our house, so things were crazy that week to say the least. I called Bill back about 25 minutes later and told him that my wife confirmed that we hadn't given them $3500, I told him that she even remembers telling me that, but that I do not. I told him that I was waiting for her to get home from work and that we would talk about if she wanted to return the car or not. Bill called me back around 6pm, but this time, he was showing his true colors just like the rest of them. He was making all kinds of threats, demands, he was obnoxious and rude. I told him that my wife wasn't home from work yet, but that we would talk about returning the car later that evening. Bill then told me that he had recorded our phone conversation, that I had been caught in a lie and that he would be calling the police if he didn't have the money by the next day at noon. He asked me if I understood everything that he just said, and I said, "I understand you perfectly." Here's my closing thought - this was the second car we bought from Healey Brothers Chevrolet in Poughkeepsie and to be honest, the first purchase was as smooth as silk, but the second, not so much. Instead of being patient and waiting to get to the heart of the matter, we were immediately casted as thieves and liars within the first 45 seconds of my very first phone conversation with Kevin from financing after he demanded a credit card over the phone. We were being shunned and it was an awful feeling and I don't wish it upon anybody. There are so many car dealers on route 9 in and around the Poughkeepsie area. If you can avoid buying a car from Healey Brothers Chevrolet in Poughkeepsie, do it. I'm not accusing anyone that we dealt with as being a crook or a liar. What I am saying is that they lacked integrity, honor and patience in resolving this matter. We will never do business with them again.2013 Chevy Malibu

Eric F., Michael F. and Greg F. are extraordinary businessmen and made the entire experience pleasurable and I have already recommended their dealership to… friends and family. I was so pleased with the entire process. Eric took the time to explain, in great detail, the paperwork and financing for my new 2013 Chevy Malibu. Their dealership is immaculate and every person I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. They went above and beyond my expectations. If I could give them ten stars I would! Best car purchase ever! Flawless transaction and the staff were incredible. I will certainly be returning for all my vehicles. Thank you again Eric, Michael and Greg.Service Review

At the time of the car delivery a very nice Trainee named Nigel was very helpful as well and knowledgeable of the systems in the car and… both Mr. D. and Nigel explained everything to me with great detail. I felt at ease and most of all very appreciative to receive such outstanding service.Great Great Service!!!!

The sales process was awful, the rep was impatient and the pricing process deceptive, so I purchased the car elsewhere. Still, I used this dealer for service because they are near… my home. Twice, they failed to address he repair issue and at least once failed to even recrd the service visit (per NY law). Their ownership are unreachable - telephone and email is a secret. I wonder why they have no interest in hearing customer complaints? Obviously, they just don't care. I'll drive to the next dealer (20 miles) for my service needs.Very happy with Healey

He bent over backwards and went above and beyond to get me & my family into a safe car that was within our budget; we drove… it home the next day! I love Healey! I would tell anyone shopping for a vehicle to start at Healey, and you won't need to shop around!Shady

Called the number on the flyer, said it was approved and for how much, made an appt. went for the appt. They gave me an ap to fill out at which… time I said I DO NOT want my credit checked until I've decided if you have a car I want to buy. They assured me they were just setting up a file on me at that time. After dealing with some pressure from the financing team and wasted time trying to get into some cars - I left to go visit other dealers. By this time I had told them at least 4 more times not to run my credit until I was sure I wanted to purchase (each time someone does this it effects your rating and I wanted to look at a lot of cars/dealers before doing that). The only dealer I left that day thinking, "If I decide on the chevy I'm looking for a different dealer". I got home and did my own credit check of myself...guess who ran my credit? Healey was the only place that day (and I went to 8 dealers) that ran my credit. I am so angry! If they are dishonest day one, I can't imagine it will get any better. Only reason I gave it 1 star was because this site makes you do it in order to submit the review.twenty two years of excellent sales and service!

I've been buying my cars and trucks through Healey since 1992 for me, my wife, my son, and even my daughter-in-law. Some used but mostly new and most recently a 2014 Silverado. I've… shopped other dealerships but always end up back at Healey's because they have beaten everyone else's prices for me every single time. And I don't even have to tell them that I've been shopping around. And the service is fantastic! When I sat down with Tom M. to discuss what I was looking for he did everything to make sure I was comfortable and even offered me coffee! We did several searches over the next few days and found exactly the truck I was looking for including every single option I wanted without having to settle for anything more or less than what I wanted except the assist steps. The truck they located did not have the assist steps. I wanted the 4" steps which were not available so they offered to install the 6" steps which they upgraded for free! There was no pressure what so ever just a smooth easy purchase like every other time. If you do happen to go to Healey Chevy in Poughkeepsie just walk up to Tom M. or Bill B. or Andy, or even Dwight and ask them about their "Bakers dozen special"!good experience

As has been the case for over twenty years, I couldn't ask for a better place to get my vehicle serviced. This time it turned out to be a needed software upgrade on my new… Silverado's entertainment/navigation system. To my surprise even the I.T. department seemed to drop everything to get involved to resolve a problem that prevented the software upgrade to be completed. That's team work! Now it's working like a charm. Who could ask for anything better than that.
