  • Best shopping experience

    5 out of 5 starsby Escapegrl12 on 01/30/2015

After shopping multiple dealerships, we found that Levittown Ford had the best price. They also have the VIP program which is extremely beneficial. Thank you for all the guys at Levittown for my beautiful escape. Job well done!

My mother would say that “an understanding beats the world” how true that is and especially when it comes to money. In my case, both myself and the finance office at Levittown Ford is responsible for there being a misunderstanding. He failed to explain to me the difference in his final figure and the salesmen figure which was a difference of ($1000) and I failed to ask. By the time I realized the discrepancy I had signed the contract. I think the finance office should have taken the time to clarify the numbers with me before asking me sign anything. The filing fee of $299.00 was in such fine print that one would need a magnifying glass to read it. However, in all fairness Levittown did send me a check for $500. and with the help of my coworker’s husband I understand that the remaining money was the DMV cost. It’s unfortunate that in today’s world one must approach the buying of a car with such apprehension and suspicion. In this age of computers and cell phones, the car industry has not changed very much, there is still that atmosphere of backroom deals and dishonesty. This industry is still cloaked in secrecy, subterfuge and deceit need to step into the twenty first century, in other words it need to change. I’m sorry to say that I walked away feeling less then satisfied. However, in all fairness, I think the manufacturers are just as guilty if not more for creating a competitive atmosphere in which the dealerships must compete to win the prize (that dollar) – here is the kicker, there is no other alternatives.

I first met with Justin, who instead of trying to get me in the Escape told me to come back, so I made an appointment for a few days later. At that time Justin threw me to Dan K to handle my deal. I never saw or heard from Justin after that. Dan K was patient and tried to make sure I understood everything. I had a friend who worked in the car business with me (who probably drove Dan up the wall) and answered all our questions. I felt like a lot of my options were not presented to me though, I always had to bring it up and question it. Picking up my vehicle was an issue because my mother and I both had to be there and our schedules were not accommodating. I had to leave work early because of it and was not too happy about that. Also, an hour before I was coming to pick up my car I get a call from the finance department, who never spoke with me before this, and they tell me I am no longer eligible for a $500 rebate for being a student because I was not primary on the loan and my credit score was too low. I called Ford and they told me this is not true. So this made me feel like I was being jerked around because I decided not to get the extended warranty through Levittown Ford because it was over-priced compared to getting it through Ford directly, which I did. Then when I come to pick up my car the computer system was down and my mother and I were left sitting there, no one , but Brittany came to make sure we were ok. Once we expressed we weren't thrilled she rectified the situation. Dan K showed me my vehicle and upon looking at it there were scratches all along the driver side. A work ordered was made, so now I have to inconvenience myself to drop my brand new truck off to get scratches fixed. Also, I was told there would be less than 20 miles on the vehicle - and I got it with 85. That is a lot of mileage for a new car that was never registered or used - plus the inside and trunk were dirty and there were marks as if it was used for something. Not sure if this was a vehicle the manager was driving around and then they just sold it to me without disclosing that information. My experience with Dan K was great and would definitely work with him in the future, but my experience with Levittown Ford was less than desirable. My aunt and mother were both thinking of getting their Escape and Expedition from Levittown Ford but from what my mom saw the day we picked up the car so is second guessing it.

  • Sneaky Salesman

My salesman was Marvin Treminio. I went there to look at three different SUV's to possibly buy. It just so happened that two out of the three cars weren't available because they had to get serviced. I decided to take a look at a 2011 Ford Edge. I test drove it with my mother in the car and only found one issue with it at the time. Everything else seemed to be in working order. Came back to the dealership afterwards and told him that if I was to take this car the brakes would have to be changed because every time I press the brakes the wheel and break pedal would shake and that my wife and daughters would be in the car more than I. He assured me that it would be no problem at all if I was serious about the car. We go inside and start talking numbers. He was adiment on getting my $1000 deposit before we agreed on something. I should've known something was up and just picked up and left. After agreeing to a price then came the fees. It couldn't be help since I didn't specify that I wanted a specific price with fees included. We are now filling out papers and because of the length of time it was taken I couldn't stay because of a prior engagement. We put it on hold for two days. When I return thinking that everything would be ready. I was asked for an additional $1000 on the down payment. Talk about professional huh. I sign more papers, he assured me the car was fixed. Showing me everything the car was capable of doing and more. We finalize everything and when I asked about the warranty papers they said it would be mailed to me. When asked about the title. It would be mailed to me. It's literally a month since I got the car and nothing has reached my home. That's not even the worse of it. I got the car with a complication to the Bliss system and was given a paper to get it fixed for free at ford service. I asked how long would it be till I can get it fixed he said as soon as possible. They'll actually contact me to set something up. A whole two weeks went by with no contact from them. As I'm now leaving the dealership I noticed the car had the same break issue. When I told him he said they fixed it. I felt like he was insulting my intelligence by feeding me a bold face lie. It felt exactly how it did when I test drove it. He said they'll fix that also when I bring it for the Bliss system. Just let them know when they contact you. Like I said before two weeks went by with no contact from them via phone or e-mail. Because mostly of the break issue I cautioned my wife not to drive to much. Around the second week the sync system no longer came on. When I called my sales rep he said just tell service when you bring the car in. I explained that I still wasn't contacted. He told me to call and set up an appointment. I called and they told me that if I needed a loaner which is what is promised to you on their VIP program that i had to wait a month and half to set something up. I got irate because a car that's not even a month old yet I have safety issue problems with the breaks and bliss system, and to add insult to injury the sync system crapped out on me. Which meant no music no climate control, basically all the extras that made the car great to have. When I contacted my sales rep and told what happened. He basically said he'll talk to his manager and see if they can work something out for me and he'll get back to me later. Two days passed and never heard from the guy. I really suggest that if you plan on getting a Ford vehicle. Levittown Ford is not for you!!!! Stay away and go somewhere else that won't put your money before your well being. It was my first time buying a car and the worst experience possible.

This place is absolutely terrible. I set up an appointment and visited this place from NJ. It took me 2 hours to get here. the dealer agreed to trade the car and began to prepare the paperwork to do a trade between my sports edition F150 GTR Tuscany: a $48,000 truck brand new. Mine has 45,000mi in perfect condition.. leather interior with tons of features and an absolutely fantastic ride. They agreed to trade me an F350 Lariot with 100,000 miles head to head for my construction business. This truck was rusted on certain areas.. had duck tape around one of the intake pipes that had broken.. had dents on the truck.. and the interior was in ok but old looking interior.. I agreed and said that I would come back the next day with my father so that he may sign the title over to them. I spent an entire day evaluating both trucks. and came back home. The next day I return there with my father. We check out the truck one more time and agree to do the head to head trade. we spent 6 hours total trying to see if I was getting an "ok" deal for my beautiful F150. This time around, another 3 managers spooke to me and NEVER introduced themselves. I did not know who I was speaking to most of the time. when we prepare to sign. After all that hassle and having already agreed to do the straight trade as their truck had been in the dealership for over 3 months and my truck would sell in a week, he gives a paper to sign off on a credit check form. I ask them what is this for. He says it is a credit check. He kept avoiding the reason he was asking for a credit check until we pulled it outta him. He wanted to xcharge us an additional 10,000 for the truck, by giving us only 10,000 for my truck instead of the 20k agreed on the day before. I could not BELIEVE how sneaky they were. I was about to be screwed over 10k by sneaky unprofessional [non-permissible content removed] sales people. FURTHERMORE, my friend inquired about the truck in person and they increased the truck price by THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS just like that. When I told him the actual price, my friend was outraged. I would NEVER deal with this place again and I suggest you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE because these were the epitome of bad sales reps. It is salespeople like these unprofessional sneaky [non-permissible content removed] that give sales a bad rep. I know I am probably wiriting to much but I am furious at how they wasted 12 hours of my life and then tried to screw me for 10K and my friend for 3k. I wasted 2 tanks of gas to get there and 40$ in tolls because they lied, mislead, tried to manipulate, and deceive me, my friend who came in separately, and my father who is 60 years old. I want the public to KNOW about these horrible people.
