Thank you Platinum VW!

After my car and home had been destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, I was unsure of exactly what I should do as far as purchasing a new car went. I had previously visited other dealers; however, I must say that Doreen Preshlock, as well as the other wonderful employees at Platinum VW, provided the information as well as the assurance I needed to hear to know that I was making a smart decision during a very difficult time. They were extremely helpful and provided multiple options, considering all that I was going through. Doreen was very enthusiastic about helping me, however, never made me feel pressured. Thank you Platinum VW for making this an enjoyable and exciting experience, rather than a stressful one!

After recently purchasing a used Jetta, we are extremely happy that we bought from Platinum. Doreen was extremely nice, helpful, and stuck with her word. She always had a smile on her face and was willing to help no matter what we asked. I HIGHLY recommend going to Platinum Volkswagen for your next car, whether it be new or used! We purchased a 2011 Jetta with the sunroof and convienence package for roughly $17,000. We love it!!

Best Dealership in Both Sales and Service

I just wanted you to know, every time I arrive for my service appointment everyone in your service department is very professional and nice. Even though they are very busy, they always take a moment to look up and say hi. Every time I arrive for service it is "outstanding". The service men (John G and John M) always look out for our interest, take the time to explain things and make sure I am happy and satisfied. This last visit, I had an appointment set up for 8:30 with John G. I was running late and made a call to let him know. I missed your exit on the LIE and was even later than expected! Anyway, when I arrived, he said it was fine and he would fit me in. Because I was running late, he offered a loaner car so I wouldn't have to wait so long as I excepted. He called me sooner than expected to let me know the car was ready while I was out with a friend running errands so when I arrived, He took the time to return my keys, walk me out to the car, and make sure I was happy with everything. My car was even washed! That, to me was a true example of "the customer comes first". We have two Volkswagens from your dealership . We love the cars and the service that comes with them. Personal and Professional

We were in the market for a VW convertible and looked through the ads for both the best price and a dealer close to our home. We narrowed the search down to three dealers and made stops during our usual Saturday errands. The first two dealers (seen in no particular order) we went to were pretty much the same. Big dealers. Sales staff was somewhere between no idea and disinterested. We just had the feeling that the people we were talking to either didnt know about the car they were selling or they didnt care about listening to us. We hadnt decided for sure on the car, we wanted to know about it first. Was this the right car? What were the safety features? The options? Etc.. We left the first two dealerships wondering if we should try another brand. Then we happened upon Platinum VW. Our sales person greeted us with a smile and started off by telling us about Volkswagen as if it were more of a mission than a car. We sat in a VW Beetle Convertible and asked as many questions as we could. We got every answer we needed to make us feel really good about this car. Then we sat with the same sales person in his office to talk about what it would cost. Now, I have been to this show before. You talk about a deal. The sales person vanishes and says I have to talk to my manager, etc etc.. Well imagine our surprise when the owner of the dealership came into the room and introduced himself well before the sales person could vanish to find his manager. The owner looked at the papers now sitting on the desk and offered the sales person some suggestions to help. He then gave me his card and said if we needed anything to give him a call. This is the owner. Wow. The sales person then went line by line and explained what every one of the costs were. Nothing mysterious, nothing hidden. We were shocked and thrilled. Then when we took delivery- same result. The bottom line was the same bottom line in the cost. No added last minute mystery fees. As we sat in the car and were taught the features the conversation stared with "I am here for as long as you need me. I want to make sure you are totally comfortable before you leave here". While we were learning every button and gauge in the car, the owner came out again to thank us for our business and showed us a couple of his favorite features. We were given contact information for service. We left there with no questions unanswered (and we ask a lot of questions). We never have less than 3 cars in our home and average a new one about every other year. This dealership earned our business and our loyalty, or said another way they earned Volkswagen a loyal customer. The car is great, we could not be happier. Thank you!

Happy Customer At Platinum Volkswagen

Besides a Volkswagen, I own a Mercedes and a Lexus. Platinum Volkswagen is better the both Mercedes and Lexus. I take my daughters car there for service and as a woman it is nice to helped by another woman in a service enviroment. If you live on long island and own a Volkswagen I highley recommend Platinum. They truley are what there name says "Platinum"

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!

I took my car in to Platinum VW service and they took in my car immediately without an appointment! They performed my free factory service and recalls in a very timely manner! I had my car back the same day! I couldn't have asked for better service! I highly recommend Platinum VW! By the way, if you commute in to Manhattan you could not ask for a more convenient Volkswagen service center...it's only 1 block from the Hicksville train station! Thanks again to my service advisor (Dee) for all your help!

Platinum Volkswagen Service Is The Best

I took my car to 3 other dealerships (Bayside,Lynbrook and Huntington) to have check engine light repaired. The only one that was able to fix it was Platinum Volkswagen. They took me without an appointment and Joann and John the service manager made me feel at home the second I pulled up in the driveway. Hat off to Platinum Volkswagen and there mechanics for fixing this ongoing problem hat no other dealership can fix.

Great Job Platinum!

Bought my Tiguan from Platinum from Joe R. and it was such a pleasure for a VW enthusiast like myself to come across such a knowledgeable salesperson like Joe. The whole sales and delivery process went incredibly smooth and I can't wait to go back soon for a new R! Might have to trade in the wifes' Jetta when the New Beetle convertible comes out! Again as an enthusiast, it's such a relief to see a dealer that doesn't mind my car's little modifications and even does some themselves in the service department! As far as I'm concerned, Platinum is highly recommend! Thanks guys!

Way overpriced and overcharged

Accused us of spilling a sticky drink that caused the gear box to fail and the car to break down. It is a newly leased car so these issues should not happen, firstly there was no drink and second can you imagine if every car broke down because of a spilled drink

Buyer Beware

To say my experience with Platinum VW in Hicksville , NY was terrible would be an understatement. Their new car reviews were somewhat acceptable, but if you are looking for a used car - RUN FAST and RUN FAR. But even if you are looking for a new car, just ask yourself - if Platinum would stand behind their attorneys on used car that had issues, what makes you think they wouldn’t do that if you had any issues on a new car? I bought a 2009 Beetle convertible from salesman Doc P., that was a CPO - certified pre-owned vehicle - with only 19k in mileage on it. Less than ONE-HOUR into my ownership, the front headlight fell out of the car and could have caused a serious accident as the light got wedged underneath the car that was behind me. I had to take off work the next day to make sure there weren't any other problems with the Beetle, but there were - the remaining headlight wasn't working (manual or daytime running light), a windshield wiper blade was defective and I had problems with the switch that controls the convertible top. This was all within the first 24-hours. The owner, Josh Lever, said he “felt terrible”, but all he wanted to do was fix the car and kept directing me to his service manager. There was a point where I was willing to keep the car as long as he was willing to work with me and back his product by adding to my short two-year extended warranty. Again, he offered nothing in terms of an additional extended warranty and directed me to his service manager. I was finally forced to pick up the car, after they lawyered up on me with a threatening letter. After I picked my car up I quickly figured out they had put additional test drive miles on it and left my gas tank near empty. In addition, on the day I finally picked up the car, they intimated I was lying about the whereabouts of a second key that I left at the dealership. Upon calling me back, there was no apology, just an admission that they had found the extra key. There is a reason they are called used car dealers. Every bad thing you've ever heard about them was true in my experience and as it turns out Lemon Laws don't protect the public as much as you think. I would NEVER use this dealership nor buy VW again as my efforts to come to an acceptable solution with this dealership or VW themselves were turned on deaf ears.

Worst service dept.

I took my 2004 Jetta in for regular check up and sunroof recall. I left my car at 8 AM. The person called me and informed that car will be not ready today and I can pick it up next day. This service make 2 hours work for two days. Then, after first good rain I god flooding on passenger side floor from the sunroof that were not properly fixed. The customer service told me this is not technician mistake - this is old drainage system failure and charged me $200 for repair. My car was repaired in (can you believe) 2 business days. Never do service at this place.

Bad faith agreement

Do not purchase or lease from this location. We had an agreement and signed contract that they will pay over mileage; they never paid the bill! Now the payment is in collections, destroying my credit!

Never go here for service. Worst service dept. ever

I took my 2011 Jetta in for its 3 months courtesy check, A/C not working, and recall. when I return to pick up the car, the prop rod that holds the hood open is bent and broken, and the hood was damaged. I talk to the service manager there and was told they didnt do it but would replace it. they didnt fix the A/C the first time around. I took the car 2 days later to get the new prop rod replaced, then took it in 4 days later to get the A/C and hood fixed. They gave me a loaner for a day( which was nice). When i returned the following morning to get my car back they finally fixed the A/C and repaired my hood. Unfortunately they broke my prop rod again and scratched my fender fixing the A/C. I spoke to the service manager yet again and haven't heard back from him again as far as fixing these issues again. I will do my best to tell everyone i know that drives a VW to never go to Platinumvw for service. they treat your car like it's a piece of crap.

Great experience at Platinum VW

My wife and I had a great experience at Platinum VW. The Internet Manager and our sales rep, David Quintero, was very forthcoming, responsive, honest, and fun to work with. He offered a fair and competitive quote right off the bat. We went into the car buying process a bit weary of what to expect, but thanks to Platinum VW found the process pretty painless. I should also mention Robert in the finance department, who was very easygoing and reasonable, unlike the demeanor of many finance reps at other dealers from what I've heard. Everyone we worked with Platinum also respected our time; no waiting around for extended periods. I'd recommend anyone I know in the hunt for a car to reach out to Platinum VW first.

Platinum Volkswagen Sales Experience

I purchased a 2010 Volkswagen Golf TDI from Platinum Volkswagen in Jan 2010. I go to school in illinois. I was in NY for vacation. During the time I was looking for 2010 Golf TDI. I had done some research about this car, and I'd contacted to dealers both nearest my staying location in Illinois and NY. I made an offer to dealer to get discounted, but due to high demand of this car(I am not sure but it is true in Europe and Asia), none of dealer shop accepted my offer but only Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville did. Still I am not sure I got a huge discount on this car, but at least thing I can tell you that they were the only one who offer discount at that time. I had almost got into the deal with another dealer shop for exactly same car w/o discount before I went to Platinum volkswagen in Hicksville. I believe that the way they make a profit is from incentive, I saw the volkswagen sales ranking list of the North America in their office wall. Even though they are not huge car dealer shop, They were in top 10 among all volkswagen dealer-shop in this nation.I bought it and drove back all the way to chicago but it worth.
