Bait and switch
by J from Long Island on 07/02/2023Went to lease an “as advertised” 2023 Chevy Equinox LT AWD. Long story short, the manager, Ramone insulted my intelligence claiming the ad was a “misprint”! Even after my explaining it being advertised on the dealers own website and in… Newsday for weeks. He offered us an upgraded trim for more $$. Classic bait and switch. I wouldn’t by a tricycle from Empire Chevrolet !Sales Tactics
by Arn on 02/13/2023I had 3 phone calls with the dealer. The price of the car was $79,070. I was told the car was in stock and made arrangements to come and pick it up in three days. I gave the Sales Mgr. my credit card info and told him I needed the exact… price for a certified check - tax title and documentation. He said he would call the next day - which he did. When he called, he said he hadn't processed my credit it card deposit and the price of the car was going to be $10,000 more than the advertised price. This is a crappy way to do business.
