by GenXAF Man on 04/20/2025Came in with my truck for oil change and tire rotation plus a few other items of concern and as always was treated as a very valued customer! More like family! Traci Perrigo really goes out of her way to get you the results you expect from… a dealership especially when you are a return customer for many years! Keith Manson is top notch probably most reliable and trustworthy tech I’ve seen in a long time and Rick Medico top notch advisor! That is the 1-2-3 combo any dealership would envy! As always DePaula Chevrolet makes you feel valued and fully explains the things going on with your vehicle and really makes you feel appreciated and valued not only as a customer but as a friend and family member!Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! I truly appreciate your continued trust in DePaula Chevrolet for your truck's maintenance needs. It’s wonderful to hear that Traci, Keith, and Rick were able to provide you with exceptional service. ?
by Blo-man on 02/21/2024Ca Me in with my 2004 inspection. Found numerous things to pass inspection. Wondered if it really needed all this stuff but did it anyway. Service advisor Robyn was great and the cashier had already looked up my rewards number ahead of time… so I could use the discount.I appreciate you for letting others know about your experience! If you ever need anything in the future, please don't hesitate to let me know. Take care! Sincerely, Jon DePaula - Operations Manager - Drivenbyyou@depaula.com - 888-634-3514
Not What it Once Was
by Jschem on 01/21/2023Update - Sierra STARTER FAILED AGAIN after 24 months and 21,000! This makes three starters in under 50K miles. However this time it's not under warranty. Spoke with the service manager and they would not stand behind the part or offer any… warranty on the previous repair. Instead they offered a $60 discount on the repair. So instead of over $800 the repair cost was $751.00. $342 for the part $413 in labor plus tax. On the positive side, they were able to repair it and return it that day. Thought I'd found one of the few good dealerships. Guess I need to keep looking. Came back and bought a 2014 Cruze for my daughter. Her first car. Not a great experience! When we came to pick it up at the scheduled time, it was out on a test drive because it couldn't pass inspection because of electrical issues it was having. Seems getting it inspected and ready for delivery was an afterthought. Instead of calling us to reschedule, we sat for over an hour while they worked through the issues. They offered to release it to us with a dealer tag so that we could take it home uninspected and come back the next day. I politely declined the offer to let my teenage daughter drive home in an uninspected vehicle. It was delivered that day just before the dealership closed and the remaining process felt very rushed. So incredibly different from my experience purchasing my Sierra. Update- the starter failed under warranty. Chuck got me right in and repaired faster than I would have thought possible. They had me back on the road next day! Saved my weekend! Their "iservice" is amazing! Great communication channel! Another great experience! Purchased a truck from Depaula last month. Worked with Randy and Tyler . Very fair price on truck and trade. Sales process was free of the usual... experiences... you get from most car dealers. They communicated great through the whole process. Phone calls, texts and emails were returned quickly! Pleasant and hassle free. One of a few times I have left a dealer feeling good about the vehicle AND the sales experience. They'll be my first stop when it's time to buy again! We appreciate you leaving this honest feedback about your experience. We appreciate any and all feedback, as it allows us to continue to grow and improve as a dealership. At your earliest convenience, please feel free to reach out to us so that we can learn more about your visit. We hope to talk with you soon. Dealers cannot be trusted
by Mike on 08/12/2019This is a letter I sent to the dealership management team, my local politician and the attorney general. I believe that some dealerships are NOT honest. On August 5, 2019, I dropped my 2012 Equinox LTZ off for service. I was hearing a… thumping sound in the passenger side rear wheel. It was more pronounced when there was pressure on that wheel (turning left). I also heard and felt a thumping in the front end when lightly touching the brake pedal. The service department called me to let me know the diagnosis on Wednesday morning. The tech said I need a new left front wheel bearing/hub assembly. It was bent and causing the thumping sound in the front end. He also said I need to replace that same rotor as the bad bearing warped the rotor. The diagnosis for the rear was that I needed to replace the rotors as they were delaminating. Finally, there was a problem with one of my tires. The tech said that a steel belt had slipped and was making a noize like there was something broken off in the tire. Finally, I should have them service the brake slides. I asked that they replace the wheel bearing and wait on the rest until I start getting paychecks again in September. I am a teacher and don’t get paid during the summer. I picked up the car on Thursday afternoon at about 5 pm. The front-end thumping was gone, so it looks like the front wheel bearing was the problem. The shimmy in the steering wheel was also gone. On a whim, I decided to research these items online. I removed one of the rear rotors (the one that looked the worst to me). I took the rotor to 2 auto parts stores near me and both of them said there is no reason to replace it. One identified a minuscule amount of delamination on the outer edge, about ⅛ inch. No need to replace the 2 rear rotors. I removed the so-called warped rotor and put a straight edge to it and it was as true as can be. No warpage. When removing this front rotor, I found I needed to use a pipe on the end of my socket to break the bolts that hold the brake caliper to the hub. The tech had obviously tightened the bolts way beyond the recommended torque. Another item on the list was to service the brake caliper slides. The estimate was 2.1 hrs labor for this job. This is absurd since the calipers would have already been off the rotors if we were replacing all 4 rotors. I purchased a tube of grease and anti-cease and serviced them myself. It took me 1.5 hrs to complete the job and that was lifting one wheel at a time with my jack. One of the 2 slides on this caliper was ceased and I ended up replacing this caliper myself. I was surprised that the tech had not identified this in his diagnosis. I removed all 4 tires to check for bulges. Every article/video online regarding a slipped belt in a tire says that the tire will bulge where the belt slipped since there was a lack of support in this spot. ALL of my tires were perfect, there was no bulge nor was there any noise like the tech had said. They all rolled true. I have always had the feeling that when you bring your car to a dealer, they “find” things to repair. This confirms my suspicion. Be assured that I will never bring my car to Depaula Chevrolet again. Furthermore, I will never do business with Depaula again either. I cannot trust your dealership, so I will not be back for service or any future purchases. It is appalling that your techs would take advantage of people like this. I feel sorry for the elderly who don’t know any better and just say go ahead. The amount of labor assigned to changing my wheel bearing was ridiculous. Maybe you need to hire better technicians. I know you are going to cry “book pricing”. I don’t care what any book says. Charging people for 3 hours of work when you are only working on their car for 2 hours is NO DIFFERENT than working for 3 hours and only paying for 2. Both are immoral. Shame on you!We have seen your review and are currently looking into the details of this situation. Regards, The DePaula Chevrolet Team

Get your car serviced at DePaula!
by lovetodrive11 on 09/01/2016PLEASANT!!! I haven't been to the dealership for about a year and was I ever surprised at the remodeling that's been done in the service area! I waited for my car to be serviced, but it seemed like it took no time at all---finding… Starbucks coffee AND authentic bakeshop pastries in the large, clean, connected waiting room was a WOW moment!! Oh yeah, the service. . . my car was serviced accurately, completely and thoroughly by professionals. The estimate of the work was right on. Dennis of the Red Team is the best!!! And they washed my car before giving it back to me ---OMG, you wouldn't think anything could beat the coffee and cakes, but that DID!!! I'm proud to say I've been a DePaula customer since 2003 and plan to continue!Thank you so very much for continuing to choose DePaula Chevrolet for your vehicle needs! We appreciate you and look forward to working with you again in the future.

Outstanding professionalism
by Pollorey on 06/22/2016Excellent experience, fast turnaround and no excessive up-sell effort! Kenny was a real gentleman. This being my first experience with any car service (I've been driving for close to 50 years) I was pleasantly impressed. The waiting room… is a really nice place to be, makes time pass easily. This was a warranty claim and it didn't cost me a cent.Thank you so very much for being a part of the DePaula Chevrolet family! We appreciate you and your business!
Outstanding professionalism!
by BC05201 on 11/30/2015I have never, in my adult life, been treated with greater respect and professionalism than I have during my recent interaction with DePaula Chevrolet - Service Department. From the initial and subsequent telephone calls to the two visits I… had to make for a GM covered warranty (two visits instead of one was my fault), this place just startled and amazed me on how good they are, how patient, friendly, professional, concerned and accommodating. Folks, I'm sold on this dealership. Management is doing it right and they have top notch staff. I even visited the sales floor and found zero pressure, just tons of honest feedback and good information. They have my business from now on. And mind you, I hate going to dealerships. I've had so many horrible experiences that going to a dealership, for me, is like having to go to the dentist for surgery. Not any more. Thank you, Marc Rosebeck! Thank you, Tom Restino! I'm damn impressed!Oil change for 2015 Z51 Stingray 500 mile break-in
by juli0212 on 04/20/2015This review is ONLY FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, sales dept. does not warrant any review at all from me. Have to applaud Mark VanDenburgh and Kevin McDevitt in the service department. After dismal sales experience, I was leery about… service for my 2015 Stingray. New procedures for the Z51 oil changes were implemented with no problems. There are many on the Corvette forums who have extreme difficulties with their service departments, so I was expecting problems. Not so. They both listened to my concerns and reassured me they would meet my expectations. They did that and beyond. Very much appreciated, especially with a car like this! Thank you sincerely.Service Appt.
by mcgrawmp on 04/01/2015updated 04/10/2015My service appointment was very prompt and professionsl. Andrew (green team) went out oh his way to make to get the job done right. I was in and out of there in about an hour - can't beat that!Excellent Service!
by bstonge123 on 04/02/2015updated 04/10/2015Service at Depaula Chevrolet is always efficient and staff is always available to answer questions. The service department pays consistent and special attention to the details such as greeting the customer, asking if there are questions… that could be answered, they keep you posted as to status of service being performed, washing the car, etcWhy make an appt?
by DariD on 03/23/2015updated 04/03/2015I made an appt...not sure that mattered; nobody even asked. It was for 8 am on a Saturday. First appt of the day. Got there 15 minutes early and there were 5 cars already lined up to get in. Not sure if they had appts or not, but, it… took 1 hour and 1 minutes for an oil change, tire rotation and car wash. Seemed like a long time to me. If I was the first appt of the day that is.On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for your recent dissatisfaction with our service department. Our customers are our top priority, and I am sorry if we have failed to meet your needs on your last visit with us. If you would like, please contact me at your earliest convenience, so I may further understand the situation and begin to work toward a resolution. I look forward to hearing from you. by l_hall152 on 03/27/2015I had no clue what to do when I went out to my car and it wouldn't start. I called DePaula, talked to a service rep and he gave me GM Roadside Assistance number - they called me and set it up for the next morning. When it arrived at… DePaula I was with the gold team and Mark was excellent. He called me every hour informing what was going on and what they were doing. He was very informative and personable. I had my car back late afternoon that day - and it was all clean as well. Thank you. Would definitely recommend DePaula!throttle position sensor problem that can be prevented
by Ivan72 on 03/13/2015Dave Plant was very knowledgeable and courteous. Service was fast and thorough. It may be a good idea for the dealer or gm to inform customers of the throttle body cleaning that is necessary to prevent the issue my truck experienced.… Overall a good experience.Thank you!!!
by Idalia1222 on 03/07/2015I am so grateful to your service guys, Andrew Kuhn and two other gentlemen that I am sorry I didn't get their names, but they showed compassion and took great care of me in a time of distress. They restored my faith, even my sons were… impressed when I told them. I am so glad to have found your shop in my time of need, and even though I do not live in the area, I am in Albany enough and have some colleagues here, so I will definitely recommend your company to anyone that will listen to me. Thank you again, you have gained a loyal customer for life.
Thank you, Alice, for sharing your experience with us! We're glad to hear that your oil change and tire rotation at DePaula Chevrolet was quick and that our team provided you with friendly service. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to assisting you again next time! Sincerely, Jon DePaula - Operations Manager - Drivenbyyou@depaula.com - 888-634-3514
