I was not pressured into doing a service which I could not afford at the time, and that made me feel that my needs were more… important than "making a big sale". by petenancy on 03/31/2016I went in on 3/12/16 to look at a 2014 dodge ram 1500. A sales person (or lack there of ) called Anthony was showing us the truck, it had some major bumper issues. The place was busy that day so we said we would come back and look at the… truck Monday (3/14). The salesman was a bit cockey and had a manager speak to us, but I still was not impressed. Needless to say we never went back in. Anthony called us on Tuesday (3/15 & 3/16)and Wednesday to come in and look at the truck they had fixed the bumper. We went in on Friday night after work and they did not do the best job of fixing it, so we decided to come back on Saturday 3/19, but before we left Anthony the so called salesman had another manager come and speak to us telling us were never gonna find another truck like this, blah, blah, blah. So they actually gave us a decent price, but it was getting late and we said we would come back tomorrow (Saturday 3/19) to test drive the truck and if we like it we will buy it. Saturday I called Anthony and asked him if he needed a deposit over the phone to hold the truck till we got there. He replied, "No I will hold it for you". About 15 minutes later Anthony calls me back and said that the dealership made a mistake and that truck got sold on Tuesday 3/15. Are you kidding me?? Why did you harass me to come in then? Very unprofessional, not to mention the truck is still on the lot!! Dirty and shady business practices, but its ok I went to Dover dodge and purchased a better fully loaded big horn!! This business is a joke. Buyer beware!!SAVE YOUR TIME!! STAY AWAY!!!!

My lease was due in, Called the dealer, The internet sales girl answered (nice on the phone), Told her I was coming in for a new lease and return the old, I leased… from Hudson jeep, 3 years ago, Paramus sales man never returned my phone calls, So I leased from Hudson. Well what a mistake, Went in 2 nights ago, wanted to meet my daughter since I was leasing for her, She worked late so she couldn't make it. Since I had insurance till midnight on the old jeep, Had to leave it there. I asked the sales man if I can leave the jeep there till tomorrow cause I wont be able to drive it, He said sure and showed me where to park, all the way back, Not blocking anything. I called the lease return the next morning, Named Metrie, to inform him that I will be there at night to turn that in and get a new one. Metrie asked in broken English, did you lease from here, I said no, "You have to come down NOW and take it to where you got it from" . this made me upset, I told don't you think that's stupid, I will lease one from them. He said YOU CALL ME STUIPED, I will call the police and tow the car out. At that point, Not only I couldn't understand his English but no sense talking to this guy. I called the bank, They called him and reminded him of a contract they have with them, Which they must take it in. Not to mention he said we don't business from people like you. Massage to Metrie: I spent 15 years of my life to make it possible for you, Mr. Metrie to come and have your freedom in this Great US of A. Picking up my new jeep tonight from Hudson. by Bad_rt4_CDJ on 08/04/2015Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Paramus Sales team was absolutely unprofessional in how they handled a situation when I picked my car after service hours. We had taken the car in for yet another recall and a sliding door repair that had been… addressed 2 prior times. My wife and I got to the dealership in the evening, as we walked into the dealership she noticed the front windows of our car were down and the doors unlocked. Par for the dealership was my thought. We paid the bill and before leaving I asked someone what the policy was for picking up a car from service and how the car should be left. I wanted to inform them so they can address the laps so it does not happen again. I asked to speak to a manager in charge of the building and got a manager that was not willing to take any responsibility for something on his property. I asked for his card, his response was he didnt have one. I asked if he could inform his counterpart in service and have them give me a call. He was not willing to do that. Finally, he gave me a choice, leave and call service tomorrow or he would have to call the police. I said to go ahead and call. Clearly, he was not in charge of the building as he proceeded to speak/brief someone else. They both walked back to my wife and I the gentleman introduced himself as Milton the sales manager. He also proceeded to explain to me that service is separate and they have nothing to do with them. He was adamant that it was not his problem and asked me to leave, I asked for his card, he went to his desk got it, slammed it on the receptionist counter and said, call the Paramus Police and have them remove this jurkoff from the building. While waiting for the Paramus PD to arrive, a 3rd person walked over and tried to imply that I was being rude and calling the staff names. Basically tried to intimidate us to leave. The Paramus Police Officer arrived, I indicated that he was called because of me. The Officer indicated if it is not a criminal matter there was nothing he could do. I explained to the Officer that I understood and told him why the Dealership called. He spoke with the employees and came back. I asked the Officer if he would come out to the car and take a look at it. He took my name and number to log the call. 3 different people addressed us that night not one apologized. Not one took ownership. I filed a complaint with Chrysler, as well as the Dealership group. Left a voicemail for GM Dean, did not get a call back to date. I did get a call from the Group operations person as well as the Service Director. Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Paramus wasted Paramus taxpayer dollars to in order to avoid any sort of responsibility or civil response to a question about their policies.Jose Bustamante is the man!!

He was on point! Very knowledgeable, understanding, truly an expert at what… he does. He was all about getting me the best deal possible. I called every Jeep dealership in a 50 mile radius from my house and gave them the numbers Jose was using and not a single one could come close to matching his deal! I'll be back to see Jose and will recommend Rt. 4 CJD to everyone I know!Great experience

I have been leasing vehicles since 1999 and it is always a battle but I have to say that our sales person, Jose Bustamante, was heaven sent. He was patient,… understanding, very knowledgable, and made this time around a breeze. I had never before enjoyed the whole car shopping experience like I did this time. We got the Dodge Durango Limited we wanted for an awesome price. Honestly, If you are looking for a vehicle Jose Bustamante is the man you need to see. by JFerreiraDR on 06/11/2015I worked with Jose Bustamante, the sales consultant and he helped me go through all the available options of the car and helped me reduce the sticker price, first by removing any options I did not need, then finding a car with similar… options (some cars have different prices on the options) and finally helping me find any deals available before negotiating. I was able to bring the price down about 4k before making the deal. Very pleasant buying experience. Thanks Jose, I will surely send out more people to you guys.Great experience

What made it especially great was the salesperson Jose Bustamante. He was helpful,… knowledgeable and genuine. There was no pressure at any point and we were very pleased. by mikejr3 on 03/16/2015Do not trust this dealership. I leased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. During the sit down with the finance manager, he tried to sell me a service package. He told me that since I am required to change the transmission fluid and coolant… before I returned the vehicle, it was worth it. LIE number 1. I took a 2 year 24k mile lease. Those fluids are not required to be changed within that time period. He then proceeded to tell me that I was required to change my oil every 3k miles and that I must use the dealership to do this because it was a leased vehicle, LIE number 2. When I called him out on these lies he actually stuck to his guns and insisted that he was correct. Needless to say I did not get the service package but the disgusting display of dishonesty really ruined my experience with this dealership. After writing this review a sales manager responded to this review and asked to be contacted. i did so and got no response from him. Further more, it had been 2 months since I leased my vehicle and I have not received my DMV paperwork. I have called twice and both times they stated that they would mail it. During my last call, I requested sales manager and was transferred 5 times before I got one. I spoke with Jason Casale. At the end of the conversation I asked for his name and he hung up on me instead of identifying himself. When I called back, I was transferred to a busy signal. So I called back again and the receptionist would not transfer me to him and I had to get his identity from her. I assume he was refusing to speak to me. I was in no way rude but I was complaining about how they are handling my documents and i guess that was to much for him to handle.A total ripoff

If you want to have completely unnecessary service, this is also the place to go. We had a bad experience the first time we went, and I cant believe we actually… gave them a second chance. We did not purchase the Jeep from this dealership because it only recently started selling Jeeps, but we were quite happy when they opened near our home so we didnt have to travel as far for service. Episode One in April 2011: We brought in our new Jeep Wrangler for its first oil change, and I followed in our 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser to pick up my husband. The Toyotas battery died in the Jeep dealers parking lot. The sales department told us the service department could replace the Toyotas battery, so we left it there overnight instead of the Jeep. The next day, the service department called and quoted us a price for the battery, but also told us the Toyota needed a system flush I believe the cost they quoted was several hundred dollars. I was skeptical because the Toyota had a routine service visit not even a month before at the Toyota dealership. I asked the Jeep dealer to simply replace the battery, nothing else. I called the Toyota dealer which has cared for this 12-year-old vehicle for many years - to question them about this, and they told me they would never recommend a system flush on a vehicle this old unless there were serious engine issues. Since the Toyota is still running beautifully, I have to believe that the Jeep dealer was looking to make some quick bucks. Episode Two in August 2011: The Jeep now has 14,000 miles, so we left it for an oil change and tire rotation, and I marked on the drop envelope 15,000 mile service in case it needed anything else. That was the biggest mistake ever; it opened the door for them to do a hugely expensive service. Ralph from the service department called us around 7:30 a.m. the next morning and quoted a price for the 15,000 mile service. My husband heard $49 asked Ralph to repeat the amount because it seemed high for an oil change and approved the service. Later that morning, Ralph called me at work and I asked for the total due. He told me it was $497.94, and I almost laughed. I asked him to repeat the amount, and when I realized what he said, I asked him what kind of service they did to the Jeep?! He gave me a laundry list of things that take place during a 15,000 mile service, most of which a mechanic would offer gratis during an oil change. My husband and I immediately left work and went to speak in person to the service manager, Steve Bradt, giving him the opportunity to do the right thing for a customer. In sum, Steve was dismissive and at times quite arrogant. He called in Ralph, who said he told my husband that the $49 he quoted that morning was the 10 percent discount they offered off the total cost. When my husband insisted he would NEVER have approved a service that cost almost $500, Ralph became extremely defensive. Steve defended Ralph, and repeatedly told us Ralph has been a loyal long-time employee. Ill bet they love him, because he is a master at ripping customers off. Three hours of work was needed on a one-year-old vehicle? Are they joking!?! Ultimately, we were forced to pay the total amount to reclaim our Jeep. Ironically, we had met with a sales rep the night before to talk about buying a vehicle for our daughter. We went into the showroom and told them that under the circumstances, we would never, ever again patronize Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Paramus. We should have learned our lesson the first time. In addition, before you think this is just one bad experience, visit dealer websites such as dealerrater.com or allpar.com and look at the service department reviews.Same Day Service

Six hours later, I walked (rode) out with my new car containing everything I wanted and more. Sure the monthly payments are a little higher… than I had figured, but the bells and whistles are soooooooooooo nice!
