by meow722 on 11/29/2016We went to Metro Honda in Jersey City on 11/25/16 to see Mike Booker to purchase the Honda Civic Hatchback. Mike wasn't in and it's so hard to find good Salesman that you can trust. I know because I have worked with Salesmen for the past… 12 years. I decided that I was going to see if the young gentlemen that held open the door for me was available and he was. I cannot say enough good things about Malcolm Gamble. He was with me every step of the way with a great attitude and when he wasn't sure of something he had the right person come over to assist us. After many hours back and forth Malcolm took me on a test drive in a Honda Civic EX-L, there were no incentives on the Hatchback & the down payment would be ridiculous. Once I slid into that car (which was like sliding into a pile of whip cream) I knew that car would be mine. I loved everything about it from the white color to how it felt driving it. So many features that I was not use to driving a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. I ended up leasing the car with Malcolm's help and took it home the same day with the payments that I was looking to not exceed each month. Malcolm was so sweet that he even called me a couple days later to see if I was happy with the car. YES YES YES, I love it so much that if I could marry a car I would marry this one. Thank you so much Malcolm for all your help with everything and once my daughter is ready to drive we will be back to see you. I highly recommend that if anyone is interested in purchasing a Honda that they go see Malcolm Gamble at Metro Honda in Jersey City.So condescending! Never do business with them. Ever.
by jay2thep on 11/14/2016Typical sleazy sales tactics here. Start you with an inexperienced person who doesn't listen - Passing you from one person to the next - asking a ton of unnecessary questions - not giving you a quote until you are there for nearly 1 hour...… All the bad car sales stereotypes live here - including the "head guy" showing you paperwork that "he never shows a customer" - and total lies about changes in car body improvements from year to the next. I will never set foot in that place again. (go to Planet Honda instead - they treated us with respect and we got a terrific deal). I wouldnât wish this place on my worst enemy. Steer clear! Can't be dealer for Honda
by jack1235 on 07/20/2016Metro Honda don't have any business ethics. If people approach them foe new car, they sell you with repaired or used car. I went to this dealer on july 4and they sold me repaired car. When I pointed out to them, none of them were aware.… After 2 days they told me that they will give me a new car. On 9th July they gave me factory defect I've car. They only have used car available. Till today they could not rectify my problem. Please if you wish to buy a new don't approach metro honda.kind advise who wants to expect respect and honesty while dealing with a car dealer. All reviews about Metro Honda. I did not read it before my decision. You did not fall in that group.Excellent salespeople, great buying experience!
by cathyperk on 07/03/2015I had an excellent experience at Metro Honda in Jersey City. I had done the research and contacted a number of dealerships and was prepared to visit many of them this weekend but I was incredibly lucky to walk in and be helped by Mike… Booker. He is an amazing salesman. He knows his business and doesn't play around. He was fair and really friendly and explained everything. I have bought a number of cars over the years and this was the best sales experience I've ever had. No joke. I felt like he really wanted to get me the best deal possible. See Mike Booker if you want a fair deal and someone who is just a pleasure to work with. I love my new Civic, got a good price for my trade-in, and I can highly recommend Mike and Metro Honda to everyone.STAY AWAY!!!
by mikiyaah on 03/09/2015this is probably the worst dealer in the world. they deserve no stars!! [non-permissible content removed] if not all of them, most of them. Long story short gave 2000 in down payment 1000 in credit card and 1000 in cash. sales agent gave a… receipt telling us that one is for the cash and one is for the credit. we left it at that. the deal didnt push through because of no credit history and we promptly returned the car and was promised the refund. it DRAGGED ON until January. they refunded the Credit card, but not the one in CASH and when Confronted the sales agent LIED TO OUR FACES AND DENIED WE GAVE HIM 1000 in CASH. i have voice recordings of our conversations with the sales agent that we had 2000 in deposit. and even bank statements that i made a withdrawal that day. Honda doesnt [non-permissible content removed]. talked to everyone. they would even check the video tapes that they have in the office. PLEASE DONT GO HERE. JUST FIND ANOTHER DEALER.Excellent Service
by PabloMan on 01/03/2015Second time getting a car at Metro Honda. Michael Booker is an awesome guy, looked out to make sure I got the best deal possible.Great experience
by cheeky2 on 12/28/2014Went to Metro after having a bad experience on Staten Island. Our sales representative Albie Rivera was wonderful. We were looking for a CRV. He was very informative and patient with us as we were trying to decide between a 2014 and a… 2015.He took us on a few test drives. He made the process of buying very easy. Albie was very professional. No game playing. We recommend Metro Honda, especially Albie. Linda and JimMetro, Mike Booker and Daniel Solares are THE BEST
by armandos on 11/20/2014Model, year, trim, color, everything -- I knew exactly what Honda I wanted and I didn't want to waste my time or anyone else's time. But, after visiting a number of Honda dealerships and feeling strung along, I was ready to move on and… decide on something else. Luckily, after being frustrated by those other dealerships, I decided to try Metro Honda. I walked into Metro at about 6:30 pm after work one night and met sales consultant Mike Booker. Since I had already test driven the car, I told Mike exactly what I wanted, where I was looking to be payment wise, and we went straight to his desk. Mike took down some notes, went to his manager, and came back to me with a reasonable counter offer. I made another offer. Mike went back to his manager again and when he came back we had a deal. The entire process took about 30-45 minutes. No games. No BS. Mike took down all of the information, helped fill out all the paperwork, and moved the entire process along very smoothly. Most importantly, Mike was so pleasant. Mike is personable, respectful, and does his job very well without coming across the least bit pushy. After Mike and I got through all the paperwork, I met with finance manager Daniel Solares to finish up the deal. Simply put, Daniel was just a super great guy to do business with. Daniel worked hard to make the last portion of the process painless and quick but it was very clear that he does not sacrifice the quality of his work just to get one customer out the door and begin with the next. Daniel double checked everything he did and explained everything, line by line, clearly and with a wonderful disposition. I don't like the process of car hunting. In fact, I hate it. Thankfully, I stumbled into Metro Honda and met Mike Booker and Daniel Solares, it was them that left me very satisfied with my experience. Although they (Mike and Daniel) set the bar high, if my experiences with Metro's service department are on par with the quality service and attention I received from Mike and Daniel, I envision being loyal to Metro. I'll report back after my first few interactions with the service team!Poor service!!
by russell48 on 09/29/2014They enjoy wasting your time at this dealership. Refused to change oil before service light came on. The light came on the next day. Had 11:30am appt for oil change, but was told my car would not be worked on until at least 1pm hour and… a half wait for an oil change, when I had a service appt.????Purchasing our new Honda was a truly pleasant experience
by dan_nyc on 09/14/2014We chose to pursue the online offer from Metro Honda, even as we had similar offers from two dealerships closer to us, because of their relatively high costumer satisfaction ratings. We were not disappointed. During all our interactions… with the sales staff, both initially via email and during our visit to the dealership, we were treated very professionally. Our salesperson, Chace B., was very knowledgeable, attentive and very pleasant to deal with; he was very patient with our extended questions and hesitations. We did not feel pressured to purchase any unwanted options, but received very helpful explanations about those we actually wanted. The dealership honored exactly the very good offer made via Edmunds.com; we also received a very fair price for our trade-in. Overall, with the exception of an unusually long wait (due to the dealership) for completing the financial paperwork, purchasing our new car at Metro Honda was a very pleasant and low stress experience.Misled about quote and availability
by marmich on 07/31/2014Received written quote. Confirmed at 4p by phone and asked to come in to complete. Arrived at 5p and none of the 3 people who had confirmed quote were available. TUrns out they did not have the car. No car, no paperwork, no person who had… made the commitment. Sneaky and disappointing.Honda Civic 2010
by allanajohn on 03/12/2010I purchased my Honda Civic from Metro Honda in NJ. I worked with Sales Representative Govaia Larcher. He was very professional and explained the entire process as many times as I asked. He made buying a car stress free by being as thorough… as he was. I would recommend Metro Honda in NY as the Top dealership and also work with Mr. Larcher. He was the Best.Very good deal
by npatel07305 on 03/14/2010After much research on the internet, and stopping in many dealership, Metro Honda offered me best price. I read some bad reviews on this site and was hesitant to go to this dealer, but they offered the best price so I gave them a shot. They… were truthful in their negotiation, and my salesperson was respectful. I would rate Metro Honda very high, and will send all of my friends of family to Mr. Jason if they are in need of a vehicle.Very Professional
by joanne_green on 03/15/2010I would personally like to take the time to express my appreciation for all the time and effort Dwight gave to my recent vehicle purchase. I am thrilled with the new 2010 Civic and I was extremely impressed with your dealership. The Finance… Manager was plesant and the process streamlined. Once again Dwight, I thank you for your professionalism and product knowledge.Great Salesmen Who Know Their Stuff!!
by joeh0834 on 03/07/2010I recently leased a vehicle from Metro Honda. My sales person was Dwight. It was a great experience. From the moment I walked into the dealership I was welcomed and treated with a great deal of professionalism and respect. There… receptionist is wam and thoughtful and really set the tone for what was to come in dealing with Dwight. Knowledge of the Accord product made me feel comfortable that the dealership I was dealing with was intrested in meeting my expectations. I have enjoyed getting to know the dealership and the associates. Now that I have had my vehicle for a week I am convinced that I not only made the right decision about my vehicle, but about the dealership as well. Once again I would like to thank Dwight & Marcus for the great exprience, and I would recommend this dealership 100%.VERY HAPPY
by george_custin on 03/09/2010I was shoping around i went to 3 or 4 diffrent dealers, i got to metro honda the serivce that they provide was very excellent , the management team and the sales rep really take care of customers, mario calle help me in all the process of… purchasing my car, i took no more than 2 hours and i got a very good deal for my pilot. very happy customerWonderful Service and Salesmen :-)
by true22 on 03/09/2010I had purchased a 2010 Honda Accord EXL-V6 at Metro Honda from Dwight Farley. I just wanted to take this opportunity to express both mine and my husband's gratitude for the friendliest and most professional manner your dealership extended… to us. I have to admit that purchasing a car at Metro Honda with sales professionals such as your was one of the most gratifying experiences I have had. Our salesperson Dwight took his time with us and was patient - to be sure we got the right car for our needs. The finance department was a pleasure to deal with as well. We never felt pressured. He took us through the financial contract and extended warranty portion, which we also purchased, with expert care and professionalism. I can honestly say that although we live a little over an hours drive away, we would not hesitate to return to Metro Honda to purchase another vehicle in the future. Thank you for a wonderful deal and experience.Great Sales Team!
by thawk08 on 01/26/2010I stopped by Metro Honda after visiting 5 or 6 other dealers. I guess those prior experiences helped me to appreciate the professionalism and personal service I recieved at there. My salesperson listened to me. He listened closely to what I… wanted and with his expert guidance showed me a few cars before I made my final decision. He was trying to fit me with a car that not only met my needs but that I really enjoyed driving. My salesperson went the extra mile prior to my purchase. Since I bought the car he went the extra two miles. He calls me to make sure that I like the car and that everything has been taken care of. When I needed to have something checked out in service she not only gave me instructions on how to go about this, he walked me over there introduced me to the person with whom I needed to speak, and told him what I needed. I recommend Metro Honda in the highest possible terms.Metro Honda - How to get a great deal from the not-so-smart saleman
by btrask on 01/18/2010Went to Metro Honda to buy a new Pilot. I had firm pricing over the internet with Amex's car buying service. The salespeople there pulled the following stunts: - Told me the $200 worthless vehicle ID etching was mandatory, and that… they would charge me whether I wanted it or not. - Claimed that if they overcharge you for the DMV fees, they'll refund it in the mail after 90 days (want to guess whether you ever get that check?) - Told me the car I wanted was available within 2-3 days, then after they saw the price quote I had (maybe 1 minute later), came back and said it would take at least 3 months to get it. - Told me they had a price guarantee (would meet or beat any competitor's internet price) - needless to say they refused to honor that guarantee. Here's how to get the deal: - Forget the phony price guarantee - don't even bring it up - Get a price quote [violative content deleted] before you come in - Ask for a salesman named Carlos - he's [violative content deleted] and can't do basic math. - Tell them your best price is $500 below whatever quote you got. They will tell you it's impossible because the vehicle is in high demand etc. A fake sales manager will come out to tell you this again. At some point if you hold firm he'll get up and and say something like "that's it - we're done, this guy's never going to buy a car" and walk away. DO NOT LEAVE THE DEALERSHIP - JUST PUT YOUR FEET UP ON THE DESK AND RELAX, MAKE SOME CALLS ETC. If someone comes over tell them you want another salesman and start over. This takes time but it can be a lot of fun. Every time they ask you "if we give you a price XXX would you take the deal", tell them you can't answer till you get an offer in writing. Eventually they'll give in and give you a price very close to your offer. - Flat out refuse to pay the "Vehicle Protection Fee". Again they'll tell you the deal's off - just keep sitting there. You should (loudly) say "it's a violation of New Jersey law to require a Vehicle Protection fee for etching". Say this multiple times. - They'll slap you with a $400 DMV fee - this should only cost $150 max so tell them you'll register it yourself - they'll come down to a more reasonable $225. This may take up to half an hour extra to get. Eventually they'll crack and give you everything you want, once they realize you're never leaving the dealership. To this person do you think is funy to write this, you know why you negotiate a price because you are a cheap person, negotiate prices wao you know what you should be ashame of your self probably you negotiate price of pizza or maybe negotiate food for your kids stop being like that cheap people and dont write stuped comments for this persons think with your head not with your behind cheap people
For a new Honda Accord 2009, Horrible experience.
by vishalsagar on 12/01/2009This REview is for Metro Honda (NJ 07305) I went in to purchase a Honda Accord 2009 in September 2009, when the rates are considered good, They had only 1 in the color I wanted (2009 model), For XYZ reason I couldn't buy before 3 weeks,… they agreed to HOLD my car for a deposit check of $2000, (NON- REFUNDABLE). They sold off the Car in 1.5 weeks and called me, telling me that they sold it BY MISTAKE. ( that is clear BS*, they must have got a better price). This is so unacceptable. My wife and I were soo looking forward to buy this car particularly the color which was only available with them, and they SOLD it even after we placed a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $2000. THEY ARE A [violative content deleted]. I will not recommend them. They could have sold me a 2010 for a resonable price increase but they wouldn't decrease the price on the 2010 either to equalize their mistake. I had to CANCEL the deal, which was so very sad for my Wife and I. (WE WASTED the Entire WEEKEND, not to mention we had to rent a car for 2 days for this) I Recommend you go to some other dealer.
