  • On the phone they say they have a car, when you come no car

On the phone they say they have a car, when you come to them 1 hour later it turns out there is no car. I went to them 2 times. Super stupid dealership.

  • Add $7000 minimum in hidden fees

1 out of 5 starsby Noah on 03/05/2025

I was planning to purchase a car at the price of $26,700 on their website. After getting through financing (and having a credit hit(, they told me the total cost would be over $7000 higher than their list price, of which none of that was revealed before. I will be posting our text conversations on Reddit as proof. The next day they dropped the price by $1500 and when I called in the fees magically went up and it was the same price out the door. When I called them out on the crazy fees that made no sense the car had suddenly sold. There are so many red flags at this dealership it’s incredible. The positive I will give is Jeremy is a nice guy.

  • Unprofessional and untrustworthy!

I visited the dealership 2 weeks ago to see a car I was interested in. When I got there, I was told the car needed repairs before it could be sold so I asked the dealer to let me know when the car was ready to be sold (the car should not have been for sale on the website before the repairs were done anyway). I followed up multiple times over the weeks to confirm my interest. I was advised the car would be ready today and I let the dealership know what time I would be coming. On my way to the dealership, they even texted me to confirm I was coming and I immediately replied. When I arrived to the dealership the “manager” asked me a few questions then left me waiting in the lobby. When he returned, he informed me that he had “bad news” and the car was currently being sold. The manager was unapologetic and cold. The lack of communication within the company is shameful. Don’t waste your time with this place.
    • Thank you for the honest comments - saved me a ton of time and unnecessary grief - whatever happened to dealerships EARNING people's business?

  • Bait and Switch pricing

    1 out of 5 starsby Steve S on 12/26/2024

Mandatory, hidden dealer fees (not state fees) increase the sales price by a minimum of $3000 over the advertised price. Here's a sample that I was presented with: $1100 transportation fee, $899 dealer documentation fee, $899 for some anti-theft tracker, $799 for a dealer protection package (useless in my case), and a few other charges of over $500. The price that was advertised and promised by the salesperson by text in advance of my visit was $28,795. If I wanted to buy the vehicle, the actual sales price would have been over $33,000 before tax and tags. I told the salesperson I didn't want to drive several hours if I didn't know the sales price first. He assured me it would be the $8,795 advertised price. After some additional, after-the-fact research, I found that this is the normal sales practice for the Excel Auto Lounge.
