by MCapucini on 07/16/2024I have been a customer of Atlantic City BMW for over 10 years. I have purchased vehicles, used their service department and even their body shop. I have never had an issue with them in the past. Moreover, I have never written a bad review… on the internet. But this is a warning that everyone that no matter how good your relationship is with this dealer, get an estimate in writing because their word and their advertised prices can’t be trusted. I took my X7 in for 4 tires. I dropped the car and then received a call from the Assistant Service Manager, Jennifer Merrifield. She informed me that the car was due for multiple services totaling $1,700. I asked her to provide a list with an estimate because none of them were urgent and I wanted to price out the services since that seemed high. I also suggested that I could wait and schedule them for Saturday since they offer 15% off weekend service appointments. She said that she would give me the 15% off and the service would only be $1450. She also said that she would be able to get me one tire free since they had buy 3 get one free. All of this sounded great. I always had great experiences with Atlantic City BMW. Jennifer said she would send an email with the estimate. Monday afternoon she called and informed me the car wasn’t going to be done until Tuesday. I still hadn’t received the estimate and again she said she would send it as soon as we got off the call. I never received the estimate nor did I hear from her all day Tuesday. I called at 5:00. She said they were just wrapping up the car and she wasn’t leaving until 6:00 and she would call with an update. I reminder her I never got the estimate. She again said she would email it right away. 6 pm came and went with no update or estimate. Wednesday morning I called and requested my car. She said it was done and I asked what the bill was. She still hadn’t completed it in the computer. You guessed it! I show up and the bill is $800 more than the original estimate. When I asked Jennifer what was going on she shrugged her shoulders and said things just cost more than she thought. No concern on her end at all. When I got home I contacted her and told her I was not happy and gave her another chance to adjust the bill or I would leave this review. She still denied any ownership. I got a call from the Service Manager. He was he was very concerned. I relayed my concerns and my disappointment in Jennifer. He defended her but said he would look into the incident and call me back on Friday. That was a 2 weeks ago and I have not heard from them. Moral to this longwinded saga - Get an estimate in writing because even though they advertise an oil change is $129, they charged me $280. And $129 is legitimate because that is what I paid the last time without any “deals” from the Assistant Service Manager. The list goes on and on.Great service

2018 BMW X1 Service at BMW of Atlantic City
by George C on 02/28/2024Had to take my 2018 BMW X1 to my dealership, BMW of Atlantic City (NJ) after I got a “Drive Train Malfunction” warning. Turned out to be a failed ignition coil so it was replaced along with spark plugs. The dealership had sent out service… coupons that I used to get a nice discount. Along with the service I got a 49 point inspection at no cost. I was sent a video of the technician showing potential point of future problems. Service rep Scott was knowledgeable and great to work with. Great service at a reasonable price.Glad to hear that BMW of Atlantic City provided excellent service for your BMW X1! Nice service

They came picked my car up the next day and finished the service. Bad communication and charge too much
by Joe fugarino on 11/17/2023They charged me a 1000 for diagnostics and my car is just as broke as it was when I brought it there I couldn’t afford to do any of the necessary repairs the service advisor never answers the phone and takes 2 days to call back not sure… what is going on over there but I’ll never go there againPhenomenal customer service

Scott and his team were wonderful throughout the service process by keeping me apprised of the service and finally… determine why I was getting a tire pressure warning. I needed a new tire and their prices were very competitive and fair. When I picked up my car it had been detailed and looks better than when I purchased it. Wheel/Tire Replacement
