Deal Breakers
by rwk47 on 05/13/2008I've been using Somerset Nissan over the past 10 years, We've leased 6 cars and given them 3 sales and also rerrals. I wanted to lease a 09 murano. after taking one out for a test drive & telling the sales rep how much I liked it we wnet… back to see what a new lease would cost. Well you could have knocked me over, the lease would have been quite high, and after I said so, I was told by both the sales manager & sales rep. that that was the price and thy couldn't offer me anything off, even though I have been a loyal customer for 10 years.........Needless to say I WILL NEVER deal with these people againBest car buying experiences ever!
by orangenj on 04/13/2008My wife and I have been buying cars for over 40 years and have seen it all-the good, the bad, and the ugly! However, Somerset Nissan is certainly the best. We have enjoyed almost 8 years of nothing but a series of excellent car buying… experiences. This is our third round of 3 year leases for both my wife and me. That's 6 cars in all. Not only have we had positive experiences, but so have the many friends and relatives we have referred to Somerset Nissan. In short, if you want a simple, straightforward car buying experience, you need go no where else. And ask for our salesman-Erik Scholp-who we think is the best salesman we have ever had.Avoid Somerset Nissan
by dwolen on 03/24/2008I went in looking at the '09 Murano or the '08 Rogue. (I thought that the Rogue might be too small to hold my two car seats without them bumpting elbows) After deciding that the Rogue would work I sat down to discuss numbers. I was… offered a tad under MSRP and 5.9% APR. Unfortunatley that number was about 1,000 over what I was planning to spend on the Rogue. When I questioned the Sales Manager and salesperson I was told "have a great weekend" and so I left. I guess it did not help that by this time it was 4:55PM and the sales dept. closed at 5:00PM. I immediately went to Crystal Automall and looked at the Mazda CX-7. Much better crossover, much better price, and the sales team there was A+++. If you want a Nissan try Flemington Nissan or Acme Nissan, but avoid Somerset. If you are unsure on Nissan, take a look at the CX-7. I guess they did me a favor in the end by showing me the door in Somerset.Stellar
by jerseygirl81 on 01/09/2013updated 08/04/2025I never felt that they were pushy or had some sort of trick up their sleeves. I hope my next sales for a car would be like this.Amazing service from Bridgewater Nissan

by whiteandtan on 03/21/2013updated 08/04/2025Even if you're not in the market for a Nissan, you must visit Bridgewater Nissan as they will set the bar high for what your shopping experience should be. They are very professional , personable and do not make you feel intimidated during… a test drive or when answering questions. Beginning with the greeting from the receptionist, meeting the sales representative and general manager , you are treated with respect. The showroom is inviting and the waiting area for service is comfortable. The Best Dealership in New Jersey
by maximalady on 06/18/2013updated 08/04/2025This dealership has broken the stigma the automobile sales industry created and carried on its shoulders for decades. Imagine you go shopping for a car and you DON'T spend countless, frustrating hours negotiating price or waiting for the… preverbal shoe to drop when the bottom line is revealed...well, imagine no more. I don't work for this place but if I did I would be proud to show my face in public and look forward to making my follow-up calls because I would be certain I had done right by all my customers. My wife purchased a new Maxima on May 17th. Prior to visiting this dealership we waisted our time at no less than 5 other dealers in New Jersey and all our worst fears were comming true. We got to the point we didn't want to talk to another sales person or deal with another finance manager. We walked into Bridgewater expecting the same runaround we had been handed for the past two weeks but from the moment we entered the dealership we knew we could shop in complete comfort and make "our own" decisions and not be rudely confronted or swayed by a salesmans point of view. Our salsman was Tim G. Within a few minutes talking with him I knew we were being treated like friends and not customers and that he would get our business. As we walked and talked about her likes and dis-likes in cars, I noticed that all the staff carried the same demeanor as Tim...relaxed and in no hurry to "sell" me a car. One other thing missing from this place was that familiar "huddle" aroung the managers desk where your wallets fate hangs in the balance. I stepped into the service department and was greeted by a gentlemen who just for conversation sake explained his position both past and present with me and really had a desire to see his department exceed all his customers expectations. Bottom line... You want or need to purchase a car? Do youself a big favor and just visit this place, talk to a few people there and decide for yourself. This is NOT you typical RT22 car mall, this place is refreshingly different. P.S. I had some questions about my agreement 30 days after my purchase and before my dinner was ready that evening, Seth and Eric contacted Nissan directly and cleared up my concerns over the phone. Where are you going to get that kind of service? Once again, I get nothing for this review except the satisfaction of knowing that good people should be recognized for their efforts...especially when they make their job look efforless!Thank You Somerset Nissan - New 2011 Rogue
by g6leaser on 02/24/2011updated 08/04/2025I must say as a car buyer/leaser I am always a bit apprehensive, but in dealing with everyone at Somerset Nissan all of my fears were put to rest - in main part due to the professionalism, knowledge, and low-pressure attitude of our… salesman, Jeff Curran. Jeff provided us outstanding customer service from the start - demonstrating all of the features of the Rogue while on our test drive. He also provided a low pressure environment, answering all of our questions directly, and made the overall car leasing experience a good one. Jeff also found the exact car we wanted on another dealers lot and was able to order it for us. Erik Scholp, Sales Mgr. and Eric Holland, Finance/Business Mgr. made the financing and contract portion of the lease process smooth and understandable. We were not forced to purchase extra add-on's and packages bur rather explained all of our options in a logical, no pressure manner - we greatly appreciated that. The free oil changes, loaner car, roadside assistance, etc are an added bonus to one of the best car dealer experiences we've encountered. I would recommend anyone in the market for a new or used Nissan to give Somerset Nissan a look!Great Customer Service with Integrity
by stcpiper on 02/16/2012updated 08/04/2025My daughter, son-in-law and mother all purchased cars from Somerset Nissan. Somerset Nissan has a very knowledgeable sales staff that will take the time to find the right car to meet your needs at an excellent price. Eric Scholp, the sales… manager is very easy to work with. He conducts his business with integrity and transparency. For great value and customer service, got to Somerset Nissan!Feels Like a Family Owned Business
by mortimer5 on 02/15/2012updated 08/04/2025I have purchased two vehicles from Somerset Nissan. One used and One New. Both transactions were smooth. I'm normally on the defense when I buy a car because the sales people come at you like vultures. This was NOT the case at Somerset… Nissan. It has a family owned business feel. I felt they were really concerned about getting me into the right car. They worked with me over several days. I never felt pressure to have to buy that day. All this is in reference to the first car I purchased there. Which was a used Jetta. It was this experience that brought me back. Everyone remembered me. And the purchase was even easier than the first. They work for repeat business; that's obvious. And they do that, in my opinion, by getting you into the right car. I think the other thing you have to look at is the service department. After all somewhere down the road you will need to bring your car in for something. I was worried that they would not be able to handle the VW Jetta. That was my only hesitation on purchasing that car. However, I have now been in the VW for 4 years and they have been able to do about everything needed without exception. The service department calls me by name, they send me oil change reminders. I cannot say enough. Julio Vazquez, the manager in service, knows me by name. If you have to sit and wait for your car they even made sure I had a cup of coffee. I never write these things. But sometimes you just have to say something.Great friendly service

About our dealership
on a different dealership! I have been a loyal customer for 7 years and a new Murano came with such high lease payment that I just left. I'm thinking Nissan released a few Muranos on purpose to create a hype :(
