purchase of used car - great experience
by rudybazelmans on 08/02/2009I was looking for a high-end used car three months ago and I saw exactly the car I wanted at Grappone Honda in Concord. I typically don't enjoy buying cars but Grappone was great to work with. They were extremely pleasant and helpful… during the sales process and didn't rush me during the test drive or purchase process. The price was also great. They also offered me a very competitive price on my trade-in (but I decided to keep the vehicle). As with any car, there were a few small questions/issues. They answered my questions and on one issue (the feel of my high-performance tires), they explained why the slight thumping during the first couple miles was occurring. They couldn't have been more pleasant in how they dealt with my questions and I felt comfortable enough that I would not hesitate to call them again if I had a question or issue. Overall - one of the best auto buying experiences I have had. I would buy from Grappone again. RudyGrappone Honda Purchase

Found out after owning car for three weeks there was undisclosed damage that had been previously repaired to a safe but not pristine conditions, noticed uneven wear between tires, and a… problem with one of the rear view mirrors. A friend who is a mechanic looked over the car and expressed concern over the wear on the tires and bumper repair. Car was brought back to dealer. Received a new mirror but the other problems were not resolved. Also found out that I will have to buy new tires in two months. Disappointed. Paid top dollar for lower quality product than was expecting. On the other hand the car is is not a lemon. Have recommended that a friend who has ordered car from the dealer to reconsider purchase. A second friend looking for a new car is no longer interested in this dealer.35% parts markup at Grappone
by dirtyh on 12/24/2008Fro several years I have monitored over the counter parts prices at Grappone's dealerships. Grappone is marking up parts 35% above the manufacturers retail price. They have programmed their computer price matrix to do this on most fast… moving items. On my Honda the tech put the caliper bolts on with a air gun. I had to cut the bolts off with a torch. The recall on the air noise was sloppy, the replacement piece was not installed properly. I bought two new cars recently from other dealers. Don't do business with them.Salesroom atmosphere
by Tribune on 02/24/2013updated 07/02/2025I've bought almost all new vehicles in the last 40 years and found Grappone Honda's salesroom to be a very relaxed atmosphere with a great sales staff. Other dealerships seem more like a walmart. I have purchased twice from them and found… their employees to be honest and hard working. Even staff who are not involved in your transaction are willing to help out and show you the features of your new vehicle while your salesperson is processing paperwork. My impression is the owner takes his business seriously and see's to it things are done right.Good Experience

He gave me his 5 minute speech of how they do things different at grappone and the cars I asked to… look at were already waiting outside the door for me. The first car I drove I loved and ended up going home with it. The process took 4 hours total and he even stayed after close so I could leave with the car that night. Thank you to John, Cathy, Chris and Jake for the best car buying experience yet.Great service.

He is always friendly and tries to get us the best deal that is available. The work done is of the highest… quality. You will get a thorough explanation of the 'workings' of the vehicle in which you have an interest...again, no pressure. Each person, sales thru finance is kind,… knowledgeable, and very helpful. We originally bought an '09 CR-V and LOVED it - had a great experience with buying it here, and loved the vehicle, so when my husband was in an accident almost 5… months after and totaled our Focus, we decided to come back to Grappone for their great sales experience. While there purchasing his new car, we decided to also trade in the '09 for a '12 CR-V on a whim - while it ended up being a long day, it was a very enjoyable experience! Cathy S. is FANTASTIC and I Highly recommend her! Every person we have dealt with has been very pleasant and not pushy at all!We greatly appreciate your feedback. So glad you had a good experience. The sales staff we're very professional and friendly, they answered all and any questions I had and made me feel comfortable through a not always comfortable process. They were… very helpful and generous accepting my trade in and getting it ready to be traded to them when I needed to have personal belongings removed from it. I was able to drive home that day in my new truck. Happy with Honda CR-V

Originally, we asked to take the SUV home overnight for a test drive, which would have been around 50 miles. A family emergency happened that afternoon and we need… to travel an extra 120 miles in a snowstorm. We thought it would a great test drive to see how well the AWD worked and it performed better than we expected. When we asked Jen if it was ok to go the extra miles, she agreed immediately without needing to talk with a manager. You can tell that a family that cares about their customers owns Grappone Honda. I would absolutely go back to buy another car from Grappone Honda. PS, We have own the SUV for about a month now and enjoy its features and comfort.The Grappone family 100% cares about their guests. After test driving a new pilot, we sat down for what we thought would be the uncomfortable… negotiations. Instead, with Grappone's upfront pricing, we got the best deal they could offer and we walked out with a new pilot, no tense negotiations, no nonsense pricing. Perfect buying experience

We chose Grappone because they honored our true car quote and offered to match a lesser quote from a dealer in Mass. They also did work on my FIL's… element and quoted significantly less than the Autofair in Manch. Chris, our sales rep at Grappone met us with a warmed up Pilot ready for a test drive. With three toddlers in tow, he made it a pretty painless process test driving two Pilots so we could check out the gray vs beige interior. When we told them we were going to nissan before making a final decision, they offered to let us take the Pilot for convenience (all the carseats were already in it) and to measure them head to head. We fell in love with the Pilot. The rest of the buying experience was painfree. No playing games. They are very straightforward and listen well. Our girls even enjoyed the showroom, with the popcorn popper, cartoons on the flat screen and children's playroom off the waiting room. Chris even babysat the girls while we talked extended warranties and signed final paperwork. An excellant experience all around. Highly recommend!Great Sales Service!

One of which I thought had customers best interests in mind but they sold me a lemon of a used car that had been in an accident and when asked about… history of the car the sales person never mentioned it. This act made me search out a reputable dealer and I asked friends about other dealers in the area and Grappone kept coming up as THE PLACE TO GO for my next Honda. From the moment i walked in the door I was treated right. The salesman (Jim M.) had my best interest in mind the whole time. I truly got the feeling that it was not about profit/sale but mostly about Customer Service. Grappone Honda and Jim are certainly going to get my future Honda business. I also still drive another 20 minutes out of my way from other honda dealers to get my service done at Grappone. They have been GREAT!Wow thank you for coming to Grappone Honda even though you have closer dealerships. Guest happiness is so important to us.

Have witnessed time and time again customers being told that they don't need a major repair, that a minor fix will take care of it,… let's try this first, etc etc. Very honest staff that cares about the people they serve.Honesty is very important to us.
