Very Bad Experience
by Dawn Hawkins on 01/01/2020We have 5 adult children so we have bought our share of used cars. The reason I am writing this review is because the experience we have had with Suski’s is the by far the worst experience we have ever had. My elderly father bought a car… with 80K miles and the price he paid for indicated it was in excellent condition. After about a month & less than 1000 miles later we had to move him from Michigan to Alabama. On the way we noticed it was not driving well. When we got to Alabama we had two trusted mechanics look at it independently. Both said the engine was in terrible condition and it appeared the oil had never been changed. The pictures they took show the oil sludge that covered the engine. I contacted Suski’s and sent them the pictures of the engine. It had a 3 month warranty because the car had less than 100K miles. The service manager admitted he had not even looked at the engine before selling it to my father, and when I requested they either take the car back or replace the engine he recommended we just clean it and it would be fine. My mechanic said the bearings were damaged and even if the engine ran okay now the damage had been done and it would not last long. It was clear that Suski’s was not interested in making sure my father had a reliable car. They were interested in only one thing - to minimize their losses, so I moved on had the engine replaced. The fact that Suski’s had not even inspected the engine or realized the damage after driving it – even though it was very noticeable - is troubling. What is even more troubling is that even if they did find the damage they would have merely cleaned the oil off and sold it as if it was in excellent condition. I would definitely not recommend this dealership.Great location and service
by sandy59 on 10/22/2009I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Suski Chevrolet and was shocked at how easy the whole process was. I wasn't pressured and everyone was so happy. It is nice to have my car serviced there too since I can go right over to the mall and… kill time. The Auto Cash program they give everyone is so nice too...it really helps save you money. I tell everyone I know to go there, it's well worth the drive.comfort, convienient, honest
by rubenwest on 01/04/2008We recently bought a used vehicle from suski chevy in Birch Run. Their facility is close to the highway & I was able to let my wife shop while I did some dickering & dealing. Our salesman Dave Nelson was very friendly & laid out the… facts--no bs-- thanks Dave

After getting your complaint and numerous phone calls to your "trusted mechanics" it was determined that they had not ran any tests on the vehicle nor were they a certified repair facility. We told you that if the vehicle was taken to a certified GM dealership the warranty that was given to you upon purchase would be honored which was for 3 months/ 3000 miles and a 50/50 split. You refused this. It is not the practice of any dealership to remove the head off the engine to check the quality of oil when it is traded in.
