No pressure, no salesman following me around while looking over the inventory, which is what happens in most dealerships!! It was very professional, and my… salesman, Dave Chapin knew all about the car I was looking at, any question I had, he had the answer for!! by Stephen on 10/29/2018I recently purchased a new Ford Explorer XLT at Herb Chambers. I just had to write this review to let everyone know how good of an experience I had. I used to have a different favorite Ford Dealership. But now I have a new one, Herb… Chambers. Their selection of available vehicles is amazing. Due to the high volume of sales, they are able to offer bigger discounts than other dealerships. When I initially expressed interest over the phone somehow and luckily I was connected to Miguel Silva the General Manager. He spent at least 30 minutes on the phone answering my questions. I went to the dealership and he had the vehicle I wanted to test drive shipped from the Braintree location to the Westborough location. I thought that was going above and beyond. It saved me a long ride in the car. I couldn't make a final decision and I had to go back and take another look and do some comparisons on colors and accessories. After 2 more visits of comparing vehicles and getting my wifes opinion I made my choice. The dealership discount ended up being about double the discount my previous ford dealership offered me. Miguel Silva was so easy to work with, he made everything so easy, no pressure. Great communication throughout the whole process. Everyone one I dealt with including the finance officer were a pleasure to work with and I couldn't be happier. I know where I am going to buy my new Fords from now on. Throughout all this time and ALL the changes, the service has been… impeccable in ALL respects. So much so that I use Herb Chambers for ALL vehicle service needs.Fantastic Team

by tpenziner on 04/29/2018I wanted to purchase a new 2018 Ford F350 Superduty today, sales "Michael Gonthier" quoted me $3900k off MSRP on a $85K Superduty when other dealers are 8k+ off MSRP without taking advantage of consumers. The response I got back, "these… trucks are rare". What a poor sales tactic, it's a Superduty not a Maclaren. For me personally, I'm ok with dealers making money but there is nothing worse than dealers like this when you're in the market to buy. I have spends hundreds of thousands of dollars with the Herb Chambers franchise over the past 10 years, you would think in this day and time they would know good repeat customers. Dealers get kickbacks from holdback, advertising incentives and Ford Incentives. Keep in mind when buying a new car Ford provides the dealer with 3% of the Total MSRP after it sells, for example if a car has an MSRP of $85,000 and there is a holdback of 3%, then the dealer will receive $2550 from the manufacturer whenever they sell that vehicle. "A dealer could run a highly profitable operation simply off the holdback they receive." When they pull sales tactics like this, it tells you a lot about who you're dealing with and at the end of the day all they care about is taking you for whatever they can. Don't waste your hard earned money or get caught up in the moment, do your homework before buying and don't fall for the BS sales ploy. There are some good dealers out there.Awesome!

I will never do business with them again and dont recommend either save time and dont go through headache like I did. You dont want "Dan" (this very unprofessional guy) to call you… and mistreat you. Bad service
by fusionowner6 on 04/23/2016Awful customer service when dealing with the service department. Had multiple recalls that needed to be done on my car and each time they broke something. One recall they snapped my glovebox and e other they did not screw back on my door… panel; not the service you would expect when getting a mandatory recall done. Asking simple questions about warranty issues gets you a sarcastic and care free answer from the service manager. When speaking with the general manager about my concerns he stated since I didn't buy the car there and he didn't make a profit he has no interest in my concerns and doesn't care how poorly treated I am by his staff. The recalls sent to me said go to the nearest authorized for dealer, but apparently Herb Chambers is exempt and will only care about you if they are taking money out of your pocket. Would never refer anyone to bring there car here for service.The way buying experience should be
by krupnikas on 03/14/2016Recently my search for a 2016 Ford Fusion AWD was made seamless with the efforts of Eric Rafter, David Chaplin and all others involved within Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough. My search started with all my vehicle specs put together and… me sending out to approximately 8-10 dealership inquiries for best pricing. I received a majority of them back with less than attractive offers, except for one. Herb Chambers put the initial deal together that was both fair and exactly what in wanted from their stock inventory. Communication was great through the whole process even as i pulled out of the lot with the vehicle of my choice. This is the buying experience the way it should be without feeling taken advantage of. Wish I could afford to buy a second, but when it is time, i will go back expecting the same.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Great trade in offer and steep discount on new car
by Ms_White on 11/03/2014Overall, my experience was one of respect and courtesy. I appreciated all the helpful advice and knowledge that was offered during my three visits to the dealership. Jordan Berk, Aaron Proctor, and Ed worked together well to provide me… with an excellent buying experience. I am now an ex-owner of a Toyota and a satisfied driver of a Ford Focus Hatchback. I had never shopped at a Ford dealership before. My driving history has included over 30 years of commuting in Japanese cars. Two weeks ago I went to Westborough intent on a test drive of the Fiesta which I found to be small and jittery and reminded me of my husbands old MINI Cooper. Aaron suggested I drive the Focus and that turned out to be an ideal car for my present search criteria. My first impression was positive with being able to see well while driving through the surrounding window glass and the excellent mirrors. The Blind spots on the Focus are minimal compared to other cars on the road today. I asked for the financing numbers and was very pleased with the offer and felt no need to haggle. There was no pressure for me to commit on the spot. In contrast, another dealership insulted with terrible offer consisting on messy scrawl paper with an estimate of payments for 6 years with no numbers for title, doc, and tax fees. The alternative offer confirmed that this dealership presented a great trade in offer for my vehicle as well as a steep discount on my choice of a new vehicle. For my second visit I was greeted again with courtesy and respect. The car and paperwork were waiting for me even though I arrived earlier than I said I would. My Salesman Jordan Berk was very helpful and thorough with showing and explaining many features of my new car. Of most importance to me were instructions for the command step procedure for traction control and Bluetooth pairing of my cell phone. I have never used Bluetooth with my phone before and am now a happy convert. I really appreciate having two hands on the steering wheel while engaged in phone conversations. The audio quality of the car is much better than my 2010 Toyota. The engine is fairly quiet, too. The radio reception is excellent and I am tuning clearly into Boston radio stations while several miles west of Worcester. Music sounds better in this car compared to my previous Toyota and Subarus. On my third visit, I received the inspection sticker and registration paper work promptly. In summary, all went well with the purchase. I recommend highly the Herb Chambers Ford Dealership of Westborough as well as the Ford Focus car that I now drive every day.Thank you for taking time to write this review.
