  • Where’s My Car?

    1. Dealer posted a car before they had possession of vehicle 2. I didn’t know the vehicle wasn’t there however the dealer schedules a test drive with me at 9AM TO 9:15AM 7/23/2022. 3. I texted them back at 8:25AM 7/23/2022 to let them know I was going to be late. I started on my way to Hanover 4. They called at 8:58AM to let me know the car wasn’t available. At this point I’m halfway there. Might as well see what I can get for a trade-in. 5. They came in with a trade in value $3k less than the final deal. Which was also $1k less than other bigger dealerships. 6. On July 23, 2022 I put money down and waited for the car to come in. Car shows up July 28, 2022 7. July 28, 2022, first time seeing the car and a test drive. I decide I want the vehicle. 8. I get the car insured July 29, 2022 to rush the registration process. 9. Aug 1, 2022, they misread the effective dates on the insurance. I trust this and call my insurance and hurry the insurance co to get me new cards. 10. DMV appt scheduled at 2:30 but they need a VIN check first. Also they don’t have the tax check, I’ve got to front the money. They state to my wife at 2:17 they arrived for the VIN check but nobody was there. I didn’t get a call until 2:43PM 11 It’s now August 2, 2022 and I still don’t have the car, the car is not registered. Lack of communication Unfair initial trade-in value offers Will not go the extra mile to get your car registered (get up early like the rest of us and make the appointment). I don’t think this would happen to Mr Cantin…

    During this difficult time of finding a vehicle with low inventory Mercedes-Benz of Hanover was terrific to work with! They were professional, genuine and thoughtful. Grace in internet sales started the process on the right foot answering the additional questions I had about the vehicle and understanding who I was as a buyer. Well done, Grace! And the sales team, the attention that Gus was able to provide once I arrived at the dealership was exceptional, the test drive was educational and insured the SUV was the right vehicle for me. Once I committed to the vehicle the process was seamless and we expedited it quickly, Matt (sales manager) was direct and easy to communicate with and set my mind at ease.     The sales personnel went out of their way to accommodate me and make the purchase as easy and stress free as possible. No pressure to purchase anything extra and they even picked me up from Woodshole (I live on the Vineyard). Joe Z was an excellent sales rep and it was like working with an old friend. They gave me all the information I needed and did it in a way that wasn’t overwhelming. I highly recommend checking out the dealership to everyone that is looking for a new or used vehicle.
