Dominic walked me through all the features of the car and even drove to my house so I could make sure it would fit in my garage. I never felt rushed or… pressured into makeing a purchase and feel I got a fair price for the car. I would recommend him to friends and family in the future.Made car buying a breeze!

Deceptive company

When I called I was told they would call me back. They never did and I'm still waiting for my… deposit back. A great experience for a new Honda buyer.
by sarahrn on 03/08/2009I just bought a brand new 4WD CR-V EX yesterday from Honda North in Danvers. I narrowed it down to three dealerships based on reviews and customer satisfaction scores. I started at this one because it was closest. I worked with Tim and… originally took a glacier blue EX for a test drive. He was great to work with, no pressure at all. We talked about different car options, he asked what else I was considering and we discussed the RAV4. He didn't bash Toyota whatsoever, said they were both excellent choices and I wouldn't be sorry with either, and that people have a couple of personal preferences that either make them RAV4 customers or CRV customers. He was exactly right and I was truly torn until I walked out of [another dealership] so disgusted I wanted nothing to do with Toyota whatsoever. I ended up going back and taking another test drive, and from there my decision was made. There was minimal haggling, I knew what I could put down and what I could afford for a monthly payment. The finance manager Paul got my APR down from 8.24% to 5.99% to keep my payment in the range I needed. All was well for me to pick up the car until I woke up this morning feeling dissatisfied with my monthly payment and my extended warranty. I originally accepted Portfolio (First Extended Services Corp) but after reading reviews when I got home yesterday I definitely made a mistake. Tim told me to come on down and they would take care of it no problem, and he was true to his word. They honored the Honda Care warranty competitive pricing at $850 for 7 years/100k miles comprehensive with zero deductible. I saved almost $800 and it lowered my payment $12/month. My finance manager was off today so another manager named Dave handled the contract changes. He wasn't very friendly and seemed slightly annoyed, but I don't really blame him. The dealership also does your first three oil changes for free and then every third oil change is free from there on out. They also extend the powertrain warranty to 7 years/100k miles standard for free if you do all your maintenance at their dealership on time. Their service pricing is also competitive. A remote starter including labor is $400 less there than from [another dealership]. The only thing I would say is be careful to ask all questions before you sign. Tim asked me to sign the P&S and initial the deposit box before we negotiated on price, which I refused, and he accepted that without an argument. The finance manager did not tell me everything up front about the extended services such as price and what's covered. I should've asked more details about the warranty and asked to see brochures, but that was my own fault. Everyone I interacted with was respectful and responsivle, and the staff truly seemed to enjoy working there. Lots of interaction and joking/laughing. Overall, I would rate it a 4.7/5 and if all goes well I hope to buy again in four years or so.Salesperson

I sat down to talk to this saleswoman 10/18/08 and she did not even offer me a business card because as she put it "I have been working here for only 2 wks and do not… have them yet" (could they have been ordered ahead of time)?. Then, to top it all up, instead of talking to me face-to-face, she spent at least 10 minutes reading directly from your website about the state-of-the art building you are in, free coffee while you wait, etc, etc,...who cares. I was there to inquiry about a vehicle not to look at the building or to drink coffee. Every question I asked was answered by "I need to ask my manager". She stood up at least 5 times. I have purchased many new vehicles in the past (from other car dealers) and never saw a salesperson so unprepared to confront a customer as she was. Twice, I have visited your lot in the past two years and twice I have been confronted by salesman/saleswoman that do not know their job well (or should I say, have not been properly trained). Someone is not doing her/his job.Had an awful experience

This dealership got great reviews and was highly recommended to me. this was first car buying experience so I was not prepared in the least for the treatment I received. I test drove a car,… filled out paper work, gave a deposit, and left the dealership with the promise that they would be in touch. I waited a week with no contact and called them only to be told they would be in touch. Waited called, waited called again and was told the car was sold my deposit to be returned. Never received the invoice I requested for the deposit return. I went to another dealership, test drove and bought the car that same day. Now after asking to be removed from mailing list I still get them this is three months later, Really??Hello Summer35, We apologize for the experience that you had at Honda North while attempting to purchase your vehicle. I bought a 2015 from Vicky M. last Saturday. I echo K88's sentiments completely. The actual purchasing process with the financial guy was not smooth at all, but that had nothing to do with Vicky's contribution to the transaction.

At least at… Honda North I walked away feeling that I have been treated fairly, gotten a good financial result, but most importantly been treated with dignity, honesty and caring by its sales force and sales management team. I have now had the pleasure of buying a new car with Evie of Honda North on two occasions. I can't speak to the rest of the sales staff but I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. Knowledgable, personable, straight-forward and one-hundred percent dedicated to the customer while still protecting the integrity of the dealership she works for. I really did not like buying new cars and needing to go through that "process" until I landed at Honda North several years ago. In fact, I so appreciated the reception that I received the first time helping my wife to buy a new CRV, that I didn't even think twice about buying a different car brand (Honda) or even visiting competitive dealerships when I needed to replace my own car. I just went to Honda North asked for Evie and bought a new CRV for my own car I was that confident I would get a reasonable price and would be linked to a quality dealership that would provide superb long term service. I am indebted to Honda North (and especially to Evie) for making car buying a surprisingly pleasant experience for a change. I would like to second the above review. I requested three internet quotes from three dealers, which were all similar, for a 2015 Honda Fit, and then visited the three dealerships to get a final price (and a test drive of the new car). At Honda North I met Evie Borges who carefully discussed the virtues of this car, let us drive one, and then agreed, with one of the managers, to meet the better price I had received from another dealer. After visiting the two other dealerships, my wife and I decided that we would go with Honda North, as it was the best experience and they had the model and color we wanted in stock for delivery. I got back in touch with Evie and arranged to finalize the deal. An hour later we had signed a purchase agreement and were told that we could take delivery in a couple of days. We will pick up our new car tomorrow. It was one of the smoothest and pleasant car purchasing experiences I have had and I have purchased more than 10 cars over my lifetime. I would highly recommend Honda North and especially Evie Borges for your next Honda purchase.
Great sales and service experience
by grapeguy on 04/07/2011updated 08/08/2025I have purchased 3 new cars from Honda North - '03 Civic EX - '06 Civic Ex - '11 Fit sport. I have had all the cars dealer serviced here. I have nothing but good things to say. Sales people have been very helpful and you don't get that high… pressure "you gotta buy now" schtick so common at other places. Just bought the Fit from Zak - great guy and easy to deal with. Service department also gets kuddos from me. Drive in express service - free rental cars when they keep your car for more than 3 hours - very easy to make appointments. If you do have to wait around they have a place to get a sandwich and a cup of coffee and computers to use. Many of the people I dealt with when I bought my first car are still there - very low turn over - that tells you something.
