  • The Worst Car Buying Experience EVER!

    I bought a used 2014 Tundra in March of 2016. The car was sold to me without a title unbeknownst to me. My seven day registration grace period was up so called the dealers sales manager, Dillon, very very rude and would not tell me the… truth about the title, would not call me back, nor would my salesman Tomi T. I finally got someone to talk to and they gave me a rental as I had to bring the truck back to them to wait for title. In the mean time, we got our first truck loan bill and Herb Chambers promised to pay that for me as I still had the rental two weeks later. Then we got a late bill demanding payment, as Herb Chambers never paid it. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone as they are unprofessional and very rude and dishonest. I have a year of free oil changes and will not use them because the place disgusts me and I don't trust them with my truck. Please pass this on and go elsewhere.

    Mateo Lako was an exceptional salesman through out the process of purchase of 2016 highlander XLE V6. He was very polite and took care of every little request we threw his way. We will definitely purchase our next car from him! Herb… Chambers Toyota in Auburn has been our one stop shop for many years. Our family have purchased many cars over the course of last 10 years. General Manager Dan Bortolussi (Uncle Dan) continues to provide the service that is hard to find at the other dealerships. Monica Keith (Finance Manager) also helped us with getting a great deal on the extended service programs.

    I like to tell you about my sales man his name is Dhimitri he made my experience as quick an painless as possible. He went the extra mile to make sure that I got the best deal an the best finance options. When u buy a new or used… vehicle it's not the dealer who sells the it. It's the one on one relationship with the salesman. He was [non-permissible content removed] type of guy an that says a lot. Would defintantly recommend going to see Dhimitri for your next vehicle purchase. Remember it's not the dealer it's the person u deal with.

  • Waste of time!

    Buyers beware! There are plenty of other dealers. I would never recommend an Herb Chambers dealership to anyone. Make the drive elsewhere you’ll be glad you did! I was told they will beat any price and to make them you last stop. Should… make them last on your list to want to visit! Wasted over an hour at the Auborn Toyota Dealership before even getting a quote on cars and the kicker was that it was the worst out of any dealership I visited. Then a manager came over to close the deal. Ha, still with the new numbers came back still the worst offer. If two other dealerships are within hundreds why are they thousands off. Just save your time and go elsewhere many big name places this is a big time waste of time. You may have to drive father but you’ll get a better deal!

  • WARNING ! DonÂ’t be fooled !

    WARNING ! To anyone who is planning to lease a car from this dealership. Don’t be fooled! Be cautious and attentive! I leased a car in October 2015. I received a bill for December, with a prorated “Personal Property Tax” of over $200… (it would be $500-800 for a year, depending on the car’s price). The car is not my property, I’m just leasing it (basically renting to drive), and I shouldn’t pay the property tax. They put it in your lease contract, and make you pay the tax for them. Since I have already signed the contract, there is no way out of it and I have to pay. I called and tried to clarify, but they only insist that I have to pay. I have never sympathized Herb Chambers dealerships (several of them, because of personal experience), but this is way over… DON’T BE FOOLED ! Read your lease contract very attentively! Make sure you don’t pay any hidden fees for them!

  • 4th car and going strong

    This is my 4th car buying experience at Herb Chambers and each time was better then the last especially because of one person, that is Shawn Merrick the Finance Director! Yes the Sales Associate Kennedy was also very friendly and… accommodating in getting me into a new 2016 Camry SE which by the way is very sharp looking and affordable. But when it came to the numbers and working with my financing and credit Shawn Merrick made it happen on all 4 occasions. As long as Herb Chambers has a person like Shawn Merrick working for them, I will be a loyal customer. He is truly one of a kind for making a car buying experience the way it should and Herb chambers should be proud to have an employee as loyal and honest as he is. Here is the secret, let the sales associate help you pick out your car, let Shawn Merrick find the way to get you into the car. Its that simple!

  • Don't like getting yanked around

    Second time at Herb Chambers, the first time was great. This last time we got a 2015 Camry, very unsatisfied with experience. I endured over 6 hours of negotiations, the lifeless salesman constantly coming back with "Okay, let me just try… one more thing before you go." When it was time to pick up the car 3 days later it had 50+ more miles on it "from getting it gassed and washed up." Doubt it. Spending another 95 minutes to finish up paperwork and actually take the care home was ridiculous, most of it was spent waiting. Had to wait several times for a manager to come over and thank me, and remind me to give them great reviews. "Do I have your word that you will give us all 10's?" Don't waste my time and try to strong arm me into false reviews. Not sure I'll be a repeat customer after this experience, it should not be so painful to buy a car.

    My new leased Toyota came with the optional navigation system which quit working a few weeks later. 6 hours later I was told it was fixed. I picked up my car with an additional 50 miles and short 1/4 tank gas. Who's insurance covers that 50… miles if something were to happen? If I didn't have gap insurance and the driver got into an accident I could be financially screwed. I was not aware of the extra milage, permission was not asked nor given. Turns out it was a simple setting adjustment they could have instructed me to do at home. All this, and I didn't even get the complimentary vacuum and wash.

  • Brand New Camry XLE

    I was always a Honda person. Had an Acura and a Accord before. When i decided to get rid of my 2005 accord, i did not want to go back to the Honda family. I was looking at either a Sonata or a Camry. Test drove both and Camry was the… winner. Dealer was very courteous. Quick in giving different options and suggestion on how we can save. I was able to grab a Camry XLE with convenience package and Navigation for a very good rate. This was the 3rd car me and my friends bought from this dealer. Overall very happy with the buy and the dealer. Will buy from them again.

  • Two stars for personality, one star for no sale

    UPDATE: Changed from two stars to one star. As I expected I heard from this dealership. But the call did not go very well. Thinking there might be another chance to make a deal, I initially tried to treat the call with a little bit of… light-hearted humor, but that might have been a mistake. It was not received well. My review was taken as an indication of being "upset". I tried to state that I was not upset, but "disappointed", and the caller did not accept that stating he did not want to argue semantics with me. Uh oh. He stated, in an angry tone, I "WENT ON THE INTERNET, SO I MUST BE UPSET!". And then the admonishment started. "FIRST OF ALL THIS IS A BUSINESS!". At this point I told the caller that I did not like the tone the call was taking, that I felt I was being scolded, so I terminated the call. So, I dropped the rating down to one star. Apparently everyone at that dealership is not nice, So now that pretty much negates any chance I would ever return there for anything, including service. I've been using reviews as a guide for buying things for years. Finding them useful, I submit reviews of my own. The above is a "review". And I won't be scolded for telling the truth.

    This was my first purchase from Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn. I, found the vehicle using the website and was able to do the majority of my research with the assistance of my salesperson Chontell Guerraz before even stepping on the lot.… Chontell, was very helpful from start to finish of the transaction and made my car buying experience a pleasant one. At no time did I feel pressured to buy from any of the support staff. A good experience overall...

    I bought a tacoma there a year and a half ago. They charged me 32.000. For the heck of it i looked up the value a week later. It was only worth 19.000. They also put TRD stickers on it. Toyota doesn't make TRD in a 4 cylinder. They really… took me for a ride. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. There a [non-permissible content removed] and they lie.

Samantha Tetreau did an incredible job breaking down the logistics and key details in leasing a vehicle. She was also very informative in explaining all of the tech specs for the car, she's the best! Kennedy Lidonde gave us a peace of mind before and after we leased the car, he ensured we had no hesitations or fears about anything in and around the car.     I recently leased a 2015 Highlander from the Herb Chambers Toyota dealership in Auburn. Throughout this process, I had the pleasure of working with Dhimitri Lako. He was very knowledgeable about the trim levels and able to answer all of… my questions. When I left messages with additional questions, he was very responsive and returned my calls with the pertinent information in a timely manner. Dhimitri was incredibly patient as I made a decision on which model and color I would like and I never felt any pressure. In the past I have thought the car buying process to be a stressful event; however, Dhimitri made the process enjoyable and ensured that everything went smoothly. I am thrilled with my new car and was happy with the price. I have to commend the entire staff at Herb Chambers in Auburn on their excellent customer service.
