    We bought our first Subaru last week. Like the car but most liked the buying experience from Jamila J., Sale Consultant and Gordon M., Manager. Gave us very competitive pricing but still treated us 1st Class all the way.

  • Excellent sales experience

    Melissa L. was professional, more than pleasant, and straight with me from beginning to end. She went the extra mile to find me exactly the car I wanted. Whereas other dealers said the color/options I wanted in my car were just not available anywhere in the area, Melissa had someone drive the car I wanted in from Virginia! I had very competitive pricing from other dealers. I started with a low price from USAA/American Express/Zag and ended up well below that price! Melissa met and significantly exceeded the discount from other quotes I had received. I was well under the Edmunds truevalue. After one visit to the dealer, we did everything by email. No running back and forth to the manager etc. No games. She gave me my trade in value BEFORE we negotiated on the car and the value was above the predicted value by edmunds. Then we did our negotiation.. They definitely didn't do the game of giving with one hand and taking away with the other. Melissa was a class act. We are extremely happy with this purchase!

  • Customer Friendly Service

    I've used this dealership for all of my routine service since buying the car there. I can make appointments on line; there is a shuttle service that takes me to work and back again. My service advisor, Harry, is always available and helpful. Work is done when promised and at the quoted price. So far, I have not had to return the car for rework. I am very pleased.

    I purchased my first Subaru several days ago at Heritage and had a great experience. The sales staff were wonderful - I was able to get a sales price that I was comfortable with, as well as excellent financing and a reasonable deal on my trade-in. Doc did an excellent job helping me to understand different aspects of my car, including setting up my phone with Bluetooth. They were great!

  • Third time's a charm-Best buying experience ever on my 3rd Subaru!

    I had a 2009 Subaru WRX Sedan with 118,000 miles on and 2 more years worth of car payments left. I also had just received a promotion at work that would add extra drive time on my commute. Looking at the required maintenance on my current vehicle, and realizing what it takes to maintain a performance car, I knew I had to look at getting a more practical vehicle that would support my new lifestyle. I did my research, knew what I owed, what the value of my current vehicle was, and what I was looking for. I wanted a new black Subaru Outback 2.5i with a 6 speed manual transmission and started looking on-line at the dealerships in my area. I was shocked to find that my potential new car was at Heratige Subaru and quickly asked for an on-line quote. Literally minutes later, I received and email from Heratige's facilitator, Greg F., that he would call me as soon as he had access to a computer. I was limited on time and getting ready to leave for work and after soft responses to my inquiries from other dealerships in the area, I didn't think much of it. Per his word, I got the call from Greg immediately~ no need for an on-line quote! I felt as though he listened to my needs, knew that I was a returning Subaru customer and was candid and prompt in scheduling an appointment with me to come in that worked for my schedule. Upon arrival to the dealership, I was impressed with their inventory. I had scoured other dealer's selection and didn't feel they had enough of what I might be interested in. I was greeted by Greg who quickly introduced me to quite possibly the sweetest and most respectful sales person I've ever had~ Bob F. Bob was calm and no pressure. He took my information, listened to my needs, and already had everything lined up for me to test-drive the car. After driving WRXs for 7 years, I knew I wanted to see how I would handle a different driving experience. He gave me ample time to drive the vehicle and took me on various terrain so I could see how it responded differently. I laughed when he joked that I was driving cautiously for his sake! I truly appreciated him letting me explore the handling and bigger body style, knowing that I've been in a WRX for so many years. I was sold! Bob never once tried to upgrade me or change my mind on anything. He treated me with the utmost respect in knowing that I was a returning Subaru customer, knew the brand, and that this Outback was what I wanted. He made my buying process seamless, easy, and absolutely stress-free. I was then turned over to the Finance/Business Manager for information about MileOne programs that may suit my needs. I regret that I don't have this gentleman's name to share, but he was fantastic. He took his time in explaining the various programs, how they would effect my monthly payments, what I was looking for in coverage based on my past maintenance experience, etc. Again, I never felt pressured to sign up for anything I didn't want or to over extend myself financially. I ended up with a plan that suited my needs, an amazing finance rate, a fair trade-in value on my current vehicle, and an incredible deal on my new car. I work in the customer service industry and my expectations are extremely high based on the level of service that I strive for in my day to day business so I expect nothing but the best in my personal dealings. The Heratige Subaru team delivered on every front! I am a Subaru owner for life~ that's a given, but the quality of service I received, the absolute respect I got as a returning customer, the amazing inventory, and the overall buying experience at Heratige Subaru will always be a landmark for me in excellence.   • 2012 Subaru Outback

    I submitted a request thru Edmunds and received an e-mail and phone call within an hour. The salesman, Harvery Pollack, gave me a very good quote on the phone and I visited shortly thereafter. After I picked out a car from inventory, we agreed on a price which was the same as on the phone considering some minor differences in options. I then got an offer form my trade which was same as Kelly Blue Book but less than I was hoping for. We then agreed to split the difference on the trade and did the deal. The salesman was very low key and easy to deal with .... no pressure and honored all commitments.

  • Buying a new car

    I was not looking forward to buying a new car because I didn't want to be pressured. But I was pleasantly surprised as the salesmen at this site were helpful without being obnoxious. The gentleman who helped me was Mr. James M, a very nice man who took his time helping me with my choice of car. He also was concerned that I know how to use the gauges and other new technology that came with the vehicle and even set up the bluetooth to my cell phone. I would highly recommend this dealership to any of my friends and would tell them to work with Mr. M.

    I did not get exactly what I wanted, but the final result was entirely good: no wasted time, no high pressure tactics, nothing mysterious, completely professional. I'm completely satisfied with the 2014 Impreza. no experience with maintenance yet.

    This is a review of the Internet sales process and not service. Based on my experience, if you are trading in a car, don't come here. I ordered a new Subaru from Heritage and got quoted what I would say was a fair price, not a steal by any means, but fair. When the car was delivered and I went to pick it up, I attempted to trade in my car. Unfortunately for Heritage Subaru, I had done my homework and had already gotten an appraisal earlier in the day. Heritage's "appraisal" of my trade was over $1100 LESS than Carmax's offer. Heritage's quote referenced a price from kbb as the source. More unfortunate to Heritage, I had done the kbb on my own already and their offer was $2500 less than kbb! What had been open and honest communication turned into being basically lied to. There was no appraisal of the vehicle, there was instead an appraisal of the deal. I was then told that basically when you factor in taxes, if you don't trade in a car you pay more tax, and so our deal is essentially the same or better than Carmax. While true, those extra tax dollars go to schools and roads, not a dealership's bonus check. If I hadn't ordered a specific car, I would walk tomorrow. If there is another Baltimore area Subaru dealer who can rescue this car from Heritage's lot and save me from further pain, please let me know.

Your car was actually driven and appraised by our management staff. We determined the fair market value of your trade and that is the number that was given to you, which was below the other appraisal you received. We then showed you that with the tax savings you were receiving, that you were in fact getting more for your trade. While we did agree to sell you a car well below fair market value, we cannot agree to buy your trade for well above fair market value. I hope that this clears some things up for you.   • Great emergency service on my Subaru

    My 2008 Subaru Outback with 120k had a belt break during the middle of my drive home from work. This caused the alternator to stop working, which eventually caused the engine to power off. I had the car towed to Heritage, and they diagnosed and repaired the problem on the following day. I was very impressed with the timeliness of their service.

    I recently went looking online for an Outback outfitted specifically as I wanted, and Heritage was one of 5 dealers in the US that had one on the lot. They provided me with very competitive pricing, and when I made the commitment to buy the rest of the process was easy, easy! I'm a full day's drive away, and wasn't sure of when I'd pick up the car, so they immediately stored it safely away until my arrival. I decided to take the train there, and drive home ... the dealership helped with transportation for me on my arrival, and had everything prepared ... I was back on the road home in my new car in about an hour! Great service!
