  • Sketchy may be a scam

1 out of 5 starsby Jane on 12/11/2024

Tried to contact this dealership for info on a vehicle and received no answer. Later received a call from a “sales rep” who said they missed my call, how can they see who called from an 800 number? When I asked about why the dealership number provided didn’t work the excuse was they have the sales department reach out to customers from another number. Be careful and do your research before giving them your private information!
  • Elite Motors: Misleading Sales Tactics & Add-Ons

1 out of 5 starsby NicholasM on 08/26/2024

I received a series of what seemed like automated emails and with it a total lack of transparency. If there was human involvement, it appeared off shore. I could not get a straight answer out of Elite Motors no matter how many emails I sent. My request for the service report fell on deaf ears. According to the CarFax, it says serviced but lacked specificity. I can have my sales manager call you. I never heard from this person. I dug deeper. There's also allegations of pay for play with gift cards for favorable reviews on Yelp. Yet another troubling sign. After I replied back to Xena (no last name) saying I don't do add-ons, I was told the manager would call. To date nothing. It seems this dealer is big on sales tactics but low on transparency on what they are selling.
  • Scam dealership

1 out of 5 starsby AT on 08/28/2020

This dealership told me I was approved for a car. Contracts signed and down payment charged. TWO MONTHS LATER I get a call from them telling me that they couldn't get financing and they wanted the car back! I looked into weather this was legal or not. This is called the spot delivery scam and it's illegal in most states, but not IL. Most dealerships still don't participate in this. When I called them on their scam they said IL is a spot state and they can do this. They are aware of the scam and purposely scam people. This scam is used to get more down payment or a higher interest rate out of the customer banking on the fact they are willing to do anything to keep the car.
    • Wow I would have been Pissed any update on if this got resolved?
