Thanks Windward Honda
by ed50 on 04/07/2010My buying experience with Windward Honda was nothing short of excellent! Gary Brandt my sales rep was very knowledgeable about every car in the Honda line up and was able to provide answers to all of my questions. Financing was a snap and… the deal on the car was even better. No high pressure sales here just straight forward great help and selection. As a matter of fact I was so happy not only on the deal I received on my new 2009 Odyssey that I returned to buy a 2010 Accord within nine months! Thanks Windward Honda and Gary. Thanks!
by nmnitta on 04/07/2010My wife and I just recently purchased a Honda CRV-EX and we are very pleased with the service and the customer service that we were shown throughout the entire time. Gary Brandt, was our sales associate and he was very thorough and… very professional throughout the time that we were at the showroom, during the test drive, and showing us the service department. When my wife and I finally made our decision, Gary was very detailed in explaining the process of financing as well as what were the types of accessories and warranties that there were as well. We picked up our vehicle on Sunday, April 4th and Gary was there once again to explain to us about the owner's manual as well as turning over the keys to our Honda. He took us down to the garage and also explained the basic features of the vehicle. We also did a final inspection to make sure that there was nothing wrong or that nothing was missing before leaving the lot. To Gary and all those individuals at Honda Windward who made this a very pleasant and friendly experience, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I will be bringing in my Honda this coming weekend in order to get the accessories that we purchased. I look forward to the friendly atmosphere, service, and wonderful staff that are always going out of their way in making sure that your needs are met.Thank you Steven Kobza and Honda Windward!
by nomura on 03/24/2010I had another great experience at Honda Windward. This is the 3rd car that I've bought there. I really had my heart set on getting another manual transmission 4 door Accord, which I found out apparently is very rare and I was pretty… disappointed. For several weeks I had been weighing my options and both times that I went to Honda Windward, I never felt pressured. Steven Kobza was very patient and answered my questions. Steven was great! I had planned to buy an automatic Accord LX, but he got me an awesome deal on an EX-L and I am so happy. I wasn't able to get my manual shift, but because of Steven, I was able to get the EX-L, which I never thought I could afford. Thank you Steven!Overall great experience!
by bosco53 on 03/21/2010Great dealership overall. Friendly service all around. After much shopping around we decided on the 2010 Honda Insight. It was the best bang for the buck when it comes to fuel economy and trying move our society to a "greener" stance. The… car is GREAT! I originally set up an appointment with Bob Laudick through a guy at a local Mazda dealership. When we got there he was too busy to see us so we were set up with James Kaneali'i Igawa. Best thing that could have happened to us!! James was incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable and truly cared about every single one of our concerns. Oh and patient too! We took a wrong turn on our test drive and ended up having to drive all the way to H-1 before we could turn around! Oops! Good thing we bought the car! It was a great experience though, to really get a feel for the car. So that was a good thing for us. Well we got back and started working the deal. Then all the sudden Bob Laudick comes back into the picture. Ok, fine. I know how the sales thing works. So we did a bit of number battling with Bob to get the deal we wanted. We were under a time crunch and had to leave but we left a deposit and made an appointment with Bob to come back the next morning at 9am. We showed up and once again Bob was busy with someone else and we were back with James. Let me tell you, one thing I hate is getting shuffled around. It makes the already complicated process of buying a car that much more so. Anyways, long story short we finished the deal with James, he showed us all the ins and outs of the car and we drove home happy. I did make it a point to tell James that I hoped he was getting all the credit for the sale as we literally spent just a small fraction of time with Bob who in essence didnt really do anything but set up appointments and then bail on us. I was told they were splitting the commission and that was that. I voiced my disapproval but alas thats the way it works. Dont get me wrong. Bob is a great guy. Super nice. But I do have to question his sales tactics. Its not cool at all to claim one customer to get a cut on the sale and then bail out to do another customer and get 1 1/2 sales for the the work of one. A bit shady from my point of view. I am so very glad though that we got the opportunity to work with James. He definitely brings the spirit of Aloha into the world of car buying! Thanks again James for everything!!!!! Oh and I forgot to mention we got a KILLER deal on the car! Super happy with that!Honest and Respectful
by mat_a on 03/16/2010We enjoyed our experience for our 2010 CR-V at Honda Windward. Andy's no hassle easy-going negotiating was honest and respectful. We left with a new car and confident we got a deal. I would recommend Andy R. for anyone wanting genuine… service. My Pilot story with Kaneali'i
by kennoe on 03/16/2010We have been proud owners of a Honda car since the early 1990's. Our first car was an Accord from Honda Windward and our second car was a used Taurus and our last car is a beautiful Pilot. We needed to buy a car right away. I had my heart… set on a Pilot for years but knew it was way out of my price range so I did not even want to see one. My husband suggested we go to Honda because they have always been good to us. It was late by the time we got to Honda Windward but when we arrived, they did not make us feel that they have had a long day and they wanted to go home. It was after 5p and Mr. Igawa met us at the front. He was very kind and made us feel welcomed. He asked us a few questions and showed us a few cars that would fit our needs however, Kaneali'i knew I was looking for something special. I did not even have to say what I really wanted, he took us to another area and there in the distance was my lovely black, all leather, with DVD PILOT. By the way my son loves the DVD part. It was a 2007 in mint condition. He said, "I will get you into this car." I laughed. After a few hours, I had the keys in my hand and almost crying on the way home in my very own Pilot. Kaneali'i saw our needs as a family and was willing to help us not only get us a car but get us a car that we would be very happy with and that we could afford. Our family has made a great friend as we have always found at Honda Windward. They are always family friendly and sensed the needs of its clients. I am very satisfied with my car and the other cars I have had with Honda Windward. Mahalo.First-class dealership
by nlohr on 03/19/2010I bought my first car from Honda Windward 15 years ago and recently returned to buy another vehicle. Although I did not purchase a vehicle, Honda Windward and its staff have upheld their suburb customer service and standard of excellence.… Bob Laudick was professional, honest and sincere. Quality's that are rare these days in car sales men. I recommend Bob and Honda Windward to my friends, family and anyone looking for a first-class dealership. Thank you Bob Laudick and Honda Windward, from your life long customer, Nick.A Worthwhile Experience
by yaeko on 03/12/2010For anyone that is looking into purchasing a Honda, I highly recommend a visit to Honda Windward. Gary Brandt made my experience a pleasant one. He is courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. Gary listened to my wants and needs, which led… to my decision to purchase an Odyssey for my family. To my relief, he never came across as pushy, just friendly, attentive and professional. I will definitely be back again for my next car purchase, and continue to refer my friends and family to Honda Windward. Thank you, Gary!Great Buying Experience
by ira_f on 03/11/2010Honda Windward is a very customer oriented dealership. I highly recommend Bob Laudick. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable without being high-pressure. Their inventory was the best on the island for the vehicle that I was looking… for (Element). This is not the closest Honda dealership to me, but I feel it is well worth the drive to do business here.Honda Pilot Purchase at Honda Windward
by irishr on 03/09/2010My recent purchase of a Honda Pilot at Honda Windward was an enjoyable experience. Honda Windward's Internet Sales Department, specifically Bob Laudick, should be the blueprint for how internet sales departments should work. He was… timely, courteous and professional. He quickly built a rapport with us and never resulted to high pressure tactics. He is very knowledgeable of his products and made you want to come back for more. A truly enjoyable experience - I guess I did make a friend on the Windward side. IrishR2 time customer!
by twinkler on 03/05/2010We purchased an accord from honda windward about 5 yrs ago and just recently traded it in for a used car from there also. we got a great deal both times and got much more than we expected for our trade-in! we had our loan approval before… we arrived, so that made the process much easier. we simply told them what we wanted to finance and thyey made it happen and we were in and out in about 2 hours! we worked with curtis kuge from the internet department and he was great! very patient (we had our 2 young kids with us) and didn't pressure us at all like other salesmen do. i would highly reccomend shopping at honda windward!!!Excellent treatment by sales personnel Andy Resendes Honda Windward
by pazfaith on 03/03/2010Went into Honda Windward Sunday February 28 and was treated with top respect even as an ordinary couple. Andy made us feel like we were special. Andy showed us how to cut interest by paying twice a month instead of once a month. Andy's… friendliness and help enabled us to drive off in number one rate Honda Fit Sport. Thank you Andy and thank you Honda Windward.Honda Windward the Best Honda Dealership Around
by paaronw on 02/25/2010I recently purchased my Honda Element at Honda Windward. We were greeted by Kevin Asahara who has made our new car purchase one with positive outcomes. The negotiation process went smooth and our terms for purchase - readily agreeable. I… would definetly recommend Honda Windward to anyone in the market for a new or used car.Excellent Customer Service
by okay100 on 02/25/2010I recently purchased a new Honda Civic from Glenn Yakuma. He was very patient with us and showed us everything he had in stock that met our needs. There was no sales pressure. We had a pleasant conversation mixed with personal and… informative information about the Honda Civic. we worked with Glenn in obtaining a great price and a delivery date that met the schedule of my daughter. He explained all the car's features on the day of the sale and again when my daughter picked up the car. Excellent experience! Go see Glenn Yakuma!Well Worth the Drive
by joyh on 02/23/2010I recently purchased a car from another Honda dealer but was very unhappy with the customer service in the sales and finance department. As a result, I went to Honda Windward and saw Bob Laudick. What a difference! Bob did not pressure… me into anything, and was very polite, professional, friendly, and easy to deal with. He pointed out the pros and the cons of the car I was thinking of buying and I went on a lovely test drive. If you are in the market for a car, I would highly recommend going to Honda Windward and ask for Bob Laudick. You will NOT be disappointed.Great Experience
by sgtaloha on 02/20/2010Bought my CRV from Bob Laudick at Honda Windward. There was no pressure from him He listened to what we were looking for, wanted to trade in, and what we were willing to pay for the new CRV. He made every effort to meet our expectations… and we drove away happy with our new car. I would not hesitate to go back to Bob and Honda Windward for my next car. Great quality car, great friendly dealership, and great salesperson. Couldn't have asked for moreTop Notch!
by sgtaloha on 02/20/2010Have brought my 2009 CRV to Honda Windward since purchase. Each time I receive a warm welcome and thorough explanation of the service being performed. Car has always been ready when promised. Recently had a problem and brought it in late… on a Saturday. They needed to keep it over the long weekend (Monday was a holiday) but were able to get me a loaner car until mine was ready on Tuesday. Kevin was great, even when I informed him that someone banged into the rear end of the loaner. I bought my 2007 Civic from another Honda dealer but since buying my CRV, now bring my Civic for servicing to Honda Windward also. Couldn't ask for more from a dealer's servicing department.Honda Windward is Great!!!
by earlkimo on 01/25/2010I bought my new Element at Honda Windward from Bob Laudick... In the past I always hated buying a new car but that changed recently, at Honda Windward --- It was a real pleasure doing business with Bob. The whole car buying experience… with Bob & Honda Windward was great --- kinda like it was 40 years ago in a small midwest town --- no double teaming, etc. It was well worth the 30 min. drive to do business with Honda Windward.Great service, great experience
by awilsford on 12/27/2009My husband and I purchased a 2006 Dodge Durango yesterday and would like to share our experience with you. We decided on Christmas night that we wanted to find a new vehicle. There were several listings online that we were interested - at… four different dealerships all over the island. We set out at 9:00 to the first - the one closest to our house. Sadly, the Armada we were interested in sold on Christmas Eve and had not been removed from the internet ad. Onward to the next. This dealership, known for its "great sales", was not very helpful. We had a great car to trade in, but this particular dealership only wanted to give us half of what Kelly Blue Book said was a fair trade in price. We refused their deal and wasted 2 hours of our time. We then decided to check on the Durango. Although Honda Windward was the third dealership we visited, we know now it should have been the first any only. When we were checking online advertisements we came across an 06 Dodge Durango Limited with low miles. This was exactly what we were looking for. The Honda Windward website was easy to use and hand this handy button called "Make an Offer", so we did. We received an email response from Bob Laudick only a couple of hours after we sent in our offer. We spoke a little after lunch and we were on our way to see the Durange. Once there, we were greeted coming in the lot, given direction on where to park, and sent inside to speak with the internet manager, Bob. We took the Durango for a test drive through a residential area, down Kam Highway and onto the freeway, so we could better judge the handling and performance of the vehicle. Bob made sure we both drove the vehicle. After driving it, we knew it was the one we wanted to purchase. That decision made we had to return and crunch the numbers. Unlike the "great sales" dealership, Honda Windward was willing to give us fair value for our trade. They also gave us a great deal on the Durango. Once the numbers were settled, we went to see Louie Hecht in finance. Although we had already secured finance the night before, Louie was very informative and helped us choose the warranty we needed. Before we left the dealership I told Bob that I would definitely be telling everyone I know that Honda Windward was the best dealership on the island. Thanks Bob Laudick and Honda Windward for making this the best and most hassle-free truck purchase we have ever made.bait & switch
by islandguy808 on 12/10/2009I saw an ad listed by Honda Windward on Craigslist for an 02 Civic SI hatchback with incredibly low miles and a reasonable price. Because the car had been listed a few times in the past month I emailed the lister to make sure it was still… available. They replied yes it is. The car was not listed in their website's inventory so I used their chat service to see again if it was available, they replied they are only a service for HW and will forward any questions to the dealership. The next day I received a very nice email confirming the car was still available for sale and when would I like to schedule an appointment to test drive it? I called the next day and made an appointment, at no time was there mentioned of the car being sold or any problems. In total I received 3 emails from them all "very excited in speaking to you" never mentioning the car was sold. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Bob Laudick internet manager who said...."I have a nice SI to show you but its being prepped right now" I replied I'm here to see the white 02. He said "Oh that car was sold yesterday but I have a really nice 07 that just came in" I replied I'm not interested in an 07 as it is out of my price range. And before leaving I told him they should have told me the car was sold before I wasted my time coming all the way out there" The next day they had the gall to relist the exact same ad for the 02! I called and said I was interested in the 02 that was just listed today. The person on the phone said....its available today if you want to come in. I said are you sure? He said....oh yes when can you come? I said Oh Really? I was there YESTERDAY and Bob told me it was sold the day before. He goes...hmmm let me double check......oh yeah I guess it was sold, we do have a really nice 07 though. I told him I don't know what kind of scams you're trying to pull out there but this is bad business. I immediately emailed the lister on CL and asked if I could schedule a test drive for the 02. I received a reply saying the car had already been sold that morning. Make a believer out of you.....yup I believe Honda Windward is a dishonest company and will do anything to get you into their dealership so they can try and sell you a car twice as much as you can afford. I will never shop there again and I tell everyone who will listen this story. This kind of dishonest tactics only perpetuate the reputation of a used car salesman! PILAU!Bob Laudick at Windward ROCKS!
by ritacouryphoto on 11/20/2009This is a letter I sent as a thank you to Bob Laudick at Windward Honda. I think people should know when others provide good service and Bob did just that! "Aloha Bob! I just wanted to say a huge "MAHALO!" for your wonderful customer… service in helping me find the perfect car for me and my business. As a photographer, I travel all over the island and needed a reliable car that gets great gas mileage and can hold my large gallery prints. The Honda Fit is perfect for me and the buying experience was great! As a woman shopping for a car, I was used to feeling intimidated or disrespected in a car dealership. That was not the case working with you and the Online Sales Department. You were honest, respectful and made the transaction something I felt good about and drove away very happy in my new car! Thank you again for all your help and if anyone is looking to buy a new car, I will be sending them directly to you! Rita Coury Rita Coury Photography [violative content deleted]
About our dealership
I have had nothing but great service from Honda Windward and their Internet Dept. It sounds like you are angry because you missed an opportunity to get a used car and did not go to the dealership once you had found "the right one". Bait and switch??? It sounds like they were being professional and let you know there may have been other options. I have refered several friends to the Internet Dept. at Honda Windward and all of them have told me that Honda Windward is a great place to do business. Perhaps wou should be disappointed in yourself for not taking the time to go and look at the used vehicle once you had found it... Food for thought! Drive from anywhere on the island to go to Honda Windward...Definately worth the time!!!!!!
