My service person was Mr. Rainwater, a very knowledgeable and courteous young man.My… was ready when promised.Even though while my car was being serviced,we were looking to buy another Honda, so the wait time did not appear to be that long. Engine hot, I’m not!
by Pete on 09/14/2023It’s been over 2 years since I last scheduled service at Grainger Honda, and this visit was night and day better than previous visits. I believe the service department has a new manager, and I was impressed by his visibility out and about… interacting with his service department reps, and the customers. I didn’t catch his name, but he was very pleasant and engaging. The name of my service adviser was Jacob Rainwater-Heav, (#5168). He was professional and gave me an accurate estimate of how long my car would be there for diagnosing and repair for an engine overheating issue, front brake replacement, and an oil change. He also determined my 2018 Odyssey had four recall items needing to be accomplished. Jacob let me know that he would call when the overheating issue was diagnosed, which he did, and at that time he informed me of what the cost of repair would be, and gave me an estimated completion time of 5:15 PM. He called back 4 and let me know that my car would be ready at 4:30. When I arrived at that time my car was completed and waiting for me. And final cost was exactly what Jacob had told me it would be. I brought my vehicle in at 8:30 AM, and by 4:30 PM this same day, I had my engine overheating issue diagnosed and repaired, my front brakes replaced, oil changed, and four recall issues repaired. I was very impressed. Especially since they seemed extremely busy on this day. Kudos to the whole team at Grainger, from the management to the technicians involved. I also was pleased that they provided a shuttle service to bring me to my home after I dropped my car off in the morning. Not all dealerships provide this service. Compare this experience to a recent visit I had at Vaden Chevrolet in Pooler to have an oil leak repaired on my Equinox…, No shuttle service, three days to diagnose the problem, three more days to fix the problem for a total of six days. A job I feel should have taken no more than two. Next time I need my Equinox serviced, I will not be going to Vaden Chevrolet, but instead going to Grainger Honda, where I have much more confidence in getting prompt and courteous service. He recommended the brake flush and cabin filter to bring my service log up to date. He kept… me informed on the progress of my car. He let me know when my car was finished.
