I purchased a used Hyundai from this dealer in September 2008. I had it in the service shop 3 times between October and November 2008 to check out a noise in the engine. The Service Department did not have a clue what was wrong with the vehicle. I was told it was silicone in the oil pan and this was cleaned out. I was told the timing belt was tightened and within a few hundred miles of that repair, the car stalled out. I was told the timing belt was missing teeth and should have been replaced rather than tightened when the mechanic was doing the work. The vehicle had approx 90K miles and it appears it was the original timing belt. I have been told that whenever work involves the timing belt, it should be replaced rather than being removed and put back on or tightened as it is a rather inexpensive part that could cost thousands in repair. Was told the majority of the cost of replacing the timing belt is in labor and if one is already working on that the rule of thumb is to replace this inexpensive part. Parts are only ordered on Mondays and Fridays. If you take your vehicle in to their service department on any other day or if they don't determine what part is needed before Monday afternoon or Friday afternoon, you may be out of a vehicle for a week or more. Seems loaner vehicles are few and far between. This vehicle was out for a week at a time, waiting for parts, etc.

Took the car in for 3 warranty issues. decided to wait while repairs were made. they told me everything was complete (no charge) I spent 4 1/2 hours there. When I left, I noticed that the ABS and the ESC warning lights were still on. When I got home I called and they said that they did not fix the problem but only ordereda part to be installed the next week. It would have been nice to know this so I set a new appointment for next week. Took the car in again and left it all day for them to fix 3 warranty items again. They called and said everything was done so I went to pick up the car. During the ride home I noticed that the same warning lights once again were on, and the other 2 warranty items were also not done. Their work order showed that the work was completed so i SUSPECT THAT THEY BILLED HYUNDAI FOR WARRANTY WORK BUT DID NOT ACTUALLY PERFORM THE WORK.
