Just bad all away around
by FreddyS on 08/18/2024Went in for a B service and found myself with a sensor that was off the bumper that never worked correctly. The car made sudden stops many times I had the car and brought it in twice for it only to hear nothing was wrong with it. The sensor… was glued back in place and then found out it was functioning. After that was replaced I drove out of your dealership only to find that my brake pad had dislodged a piece onto the rotor and all of it had to be fixed, both sides! I was told $1200 to remove both and when I asked why I was paying for it when told there was nothing wrong with the brakes I received an it has to be changed eventually. Everything is working now and I did have a loaner for almost two weeks but I still question how I paid $800 for brakes that I had no control over when the car was in your shop.Best service advisor ever

Prolonged Delays and Poor Service at Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Dept
by Aleksandr on 07/16/2024I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with the Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Department, specifically dealing with Haden Smith. Here’s a detailed account of my experience: In mid-March, I brought my vehicle in for a… relatively straightforward service. What was supposed to be a simple one-day fix turned into a frustrating ordeal lasting almost four months. Despite my patience and multiple follow-ups, communication from Haden and the service team was sporadic and uninformative. Throughout this period, I was repeatedly assured that the necessary parts, specifically a new steering wheel, would arrive within one to two weeks. However, it took almost four months for the part to arrive. Even then, communication was poor and updates were scarce. Simple updates like “We’re delayed” or “It’s still not here, but we’re on it” would have made a huge difference in managing expectations and reducing frustration. When the steering wheel finally arrived and was replaced, I discovered that the new steering wheel had a couple of dents. I have taken pictures as proof, should there be any attempt to suggest these issues were caused by me. The quality of service was far below what one would expect from a brand like Mercedes-Benz. Dealing with Haden Smith was particularly unpleasant. His approach and attitude were far from what I would expect from a customer service representative at Mercedes-Benz. His responses were often delayed, and when he did respond, it felt dismissive of the concerns and frustrations I was experiencing. I even included the Service Manager, Joe Viola, and the General Manager, Joe Rey, in my communications, but neither of them reached out or seemed to care. That tells you everything about how this place is run. I was trying to avoid writing this review because I had an amazing experience with the sales department at Mercedes-Benz of Pompano. The sales team was professional, responsive, and made the buying process a pleasure. This positive experience made me try to have as much patience as I could with the service department. However, if I can save someone from having to go through all of these issues, the better. Avoid this location if possible. Overall, my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Department has been extremely disappointing. As a valued customer who has invested significantly in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, I expected timely, efficient, and high-quality service, none of which were delivered in this case. The prolonged delays, lack of communication, and subpar quality of service have left a lasting negative impression. I sincerely hope the dealership takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements to their service and customer care. Terrible Service and Overly Expensive
by Penalty Box on 04/10/2024When you buy a Mercedes, I guess you plan on paying more for service. I own (bought new) 2 Mercedes in LA and began having them serviced at Mercedes of Pompano. One is a C350E plug in hybrid. In February the hybrid system stopped working.… They replaced the auxiliary battery. A month later the battery mulfuncrion light started coming on. The dealership can’t figure out what it is but they want $2,000 to run diagnostics and if it is the hybrid battery $27,000 to replace it. The warranty on the battery is 6 years or 50k miles. I bought the care late April 2018 and it has 47,000 miles. Despite having a warranty book that came with the car that says the battery is warranty for 6 years or 50,900 miles, the dealership says that the battery warranty was only 5 years. They recommend I just sell the car. Am I supposed to lie to someone and sell them a problem car - that shows the ethics of this dealer. Never going back to them and will be selling both Mercedes (with full disclosure).Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to respond. THE LOWEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN 20 YEARS
by Michael L on 08/30/2023I am shocked how low Mercedes Benz went in their service and personnel quality. The service advisers are tuned up just on one thing - just how to rip you off and have NO professional knowledge whatsoever. I brought my CL55 to Pompano… Mercedes Benz dealership with suspension problem, though I have installed four new shock struts a few month ago, the problem was with a suspension line. The service adviser Bradley Markoff kept my car for a week did not give me a call even once, I was communicating with his answering machine, though he never called me back. He did not even once send me the estimate to my email, though I asked him many times, because the links he was sending to my phone did not open, and if they opened once then they would expire and disappear and you would not be able to refer to those numbers in the links with the estimates. This is some kind of mechanism, which is set up to create all possible conditions to rip you off. Bradley Markoff was communicating with me by test messages only, he could not explain the right solution to my car's problems. When I agreed to do the repairs he immediately increased the estimate price by $500 and when I wanted to refer to the numbers in the estimate, the link with the estimate had already expired and would not open, so I could not show him that the estimate was a different number. When I agreed to pay $7544 for the repairs he texted me that I have to pay in advance and that he would give me bank transfer instructions, this is unheard of for any dealership to force a client to pay for repairs in advance and through a BANK TRANSFER, not even a credit card?!. This is unbelievable. I could not take this kind of humiliation and ethical insult, so I refused to do any repairs and picked up my car. I told him that I would contact his manager and file a complaint, his response was that the service director Joe Viola advised him on every single step he made in my case. He gave me back my car dirty inside and out, with irrecoverably damaged battery, though I drove the car to the POMPANO MB dealership with a newly installed battery. I will never ever, ever buy or go to any Auto Nation Mercedes Benz dealership again.This is a monkey-business what they do. This company is going down, falling as a rock with regards to the service quality and the personnel which works there. These people have no moral, no professional ethics, no knowledge of the subject, no proper training, all they think of is how to swindle, dupe and rip you off.
