Selling tip
by johnmazda1 on 01/26/2016My wife just finished purchasing a Mazda CX5, This is a great car, runs perfect and has a lot of options included in the standard features. The sales people were excellent and very knowledgeable. Now the Rub.. You see the sticker price… and then they add the Jenkins special options. About $5999 for Seat protection, outside fade protection and emergency kit, first aid and mats cargo stuff and touch up paint etc. This was not line itemed so your not sure of the cost. They add this to the sticker and use this as the top line. Now you say you dont want those extras so they discount $6000+ (second line, great) They consider that you just got these features free but you said you didnt want them - its all a mater of interpretation. Then they add in some of these features as discounted options for $1000-2000. So did you get it free or pay for them. Didnt you just pay sticker +. But they say we gave you a $6000 discount, they point to the sheet of paper. What can I say they are good car salesmen. Heres the fix Start with the sticker price (top Line) then add the extras, then ask for the discount. Rewrite the paper with your numbers and titles. You can see if your paying above or below sticker. They like to show the large discount on top. Go to Mazda.com select your car type in the build section, Then do a search inventory in your zip area. That car at the dealer will show, put the options and you have your own paper to show them STICK WITH THAT LIST PRICE (max price) TO START THEN DISCOUNT, you can do it there. Buy the way The Edmonds Discount (pay promise) is not honored at this dealership. The manager did called Edmonds to stop showing this. Anyway great car and my wife likes the salesman. I would use them again but be imposition of the numbers. This is my opinion.I'm sorry you felt the negotiation process was a little confusing and tedious. by ghcgrc53 on 10/21/2015Service at all dealerships tends to be tedious and time-consuming (as well as expensive), but the service personnel at Jenkins (particularly Leo, the service mgr.), try to make the experience as painless as possible. I have had many… experiences at multiple dealerships throughout NY and Florida, and Leo is one of the best service managers I've run into; honest and straight-forward, without all the usual B.S.; that alone makes the experience worth the wait, as I know I can speak to Leo man-to-man and know he will be straight with me. Waiting times could be shorter, but dealerships with a steady volume make that difficult, but I have also just dropped by to make an appt. and Leo has been able to get me in if my issue was not a major one. That is very much appreciated, and goes a long way towards making the service experience a more pleasant one.Thank you for the positive review of our service department. We appreciate your business!

New to Florida
by rhinoakin on 07/17/2015My experience was exceptional. Jenkins had the best customer service that I've experienced in any business...period. It was my first encounter with a business in Florida and it knocked my socks off. Everyone was friendly, kind, and… professional. So what more could a customer ask for? I could continue for hours citing examples of my encounters with the employees from the service department to sales, and the cashier...everyone was great. A special thanks to Leo Kasper and Jarrell in the service department and shop foreman Steve...great job on getting my Miata in and working the problem quickly. Shelia was also great in taking the payment very courteous and pleasant. Chuck and John in sales made want to buy another Mazda...and I would certainly do that with this dealership. Kathy also was very helpful and professional in her contact with me. In fact, all the employees named and unnamed where friendly and helpful. I was told by one of them...that I was a now a part of the Jenkins family...and that pretty well sums it up. You made a lasting impression and I did in fact feel that I was family. My hat is off to you and I left with my heart full. I simply will say thanks for a great experience.Thank you for the kind words!
