by davebrass62 on 02/13/2018I really like these guys, so this was a hard review to write. Theyre friendly, and eager to help. That said a company is only as good as the companies they partner with, and Lee auto group does not work with reputable companies. I… purchased a Jeep in the beginning of December. Lee auto group also sold me a extended warranty at a cost of $2600. After the purchase I took the jeep in for an inspection, and it required a $1000 worth of work, none of which was covered by the warranty. I called Lee auto group and cancelled the warranty (I was still within the 30-day window to cancel) and they assured me theyd call the company and cancel the policy. I heard nothing for two weeks, called Lee auto group again, and was assured again they had called and cancelled the warranty and I should be hearing from the warranty company shortly. I waited another 2 weeks after that (a full month after calling to cancel the warranty) and called the warranty company, only to find that my warranty still in effect (The dealer must call to cancel the policy). Now, unfortunately, Im out $2600 on a useless warranty and Lee auto group gets a bad review because someone they work with isnt reputable.Great place, nice people
by ValerieRose12 on 06/06/2017A month ago I bought an older 2006 Ford Fusion with 50k miles. I was hesitant of its age, but the interior and exterior were in perfect condition and it had a spotless carfax. Now, a month later, I still love this car with all of my heart… and have had ZERO issues. The car was priced incredibly, and KBB said it was worth about $1k more than what I bought it for. I am very happy with their service and their cars, don't let the size of their building determine if you believe they're good or not.DO NOT buy from these guys. They are not upfront and honest.
by Kimberly5 on 01/22/2017DO NOT buy from these guys. They are not upfront and honest. I was aware of their negative reviews and stories on the local news of their business practices being questioned, but I was a cash buyer and thought what's the worst they could do… since I did not need financing. I went to look at a specific car and liked it and was ready to discuss the price. I asked if there was any room on the price? Salesman immediately said "no price is $8500 firm." I said well the car is listed for $9500, so there is room on the price. Salesman said "oh is that what it's listed for? Ok still no room to move it's $9500 firm." At one last attempt to make a deal, I asked if they would take $9000. Salesman said "I can ask my boss Kyle." I said great, please do. Salesman said Kyle doesn't discuss price until you sign a contract committing to buy the car. I said I will not commit to buy a car until we have agreed on a price and I see the contract to make sure no hidden fees are added and I know the out the door price. Kyle, the car dealership owner came out and said when you're ready to be a serious buyer, come back and we will make a deal. I said I have the cash with me to buy the car, I want to buy the car, I just simply want to discuss the price of the car and the fees that I will be paying before I agree to anything and sign your contract that I haven't even seen. Kyle said we do not discuss the price until you're ready to sign, so go look around and come back when you are serious. Listen folks, if someone wants you to sign a contract before you have agreed on a price and not disclosing their fees and total costs to you as a buyer, you can be sure they will be ripping you off. I think this dealer preys on young people with buying inexperience, or people in desperate situations and gets them to sign this so called "contract" at which point traps these buyers in when agreements haven't even been made and the dealer can add on any costs or fees they want. Oh and their loyalty program on fixing any car you buy there at their cost is an absolute joke. I went there ready to buy a car with cash in hand and left there feeling insulted and thinking do these guys think I'm an idiot? They were hoping I was and I was glad to disappoint them.DON'T GO NEAR THESE GUYS
by Joey_M_NYC on 06/03/2016[non-permissible content removed]. Facility looks like a dump and business practices reflect same. Told me they would give me $5000 for my tradein sight unseen. When i went to close they gave me $2000. When I got home and went to lock the… car there was no cylinder in the lock so could not lock the car. Read every word of the contract (i did not so shame on me), 4 weeks after I had the car i had not received the title. They told me I owed an additional $90.35 for the title since it is not included in the contract. These folks make regular used car salesmen appear to be angles. STAY AWAYDon't be fooled by this people.
by V_Lator on 06/17/2015I was looking for a few years old high mileage car for around $4,000. The idea was to purchase a car that would last for two or three years and then later on finance a new car. I have never had a problem with a car with high mileage. I had… a Limited Edition Ford Explorer from 1995 with more than 100,000 miles when I purchased it. During the 11 years I had it, the mileage went up to more than 250,000 before I decided to sell it. The same way I did with a Ford Stratus and Chrysler Neon. Last week we went to visit Lee Auto Group and got a 2004 Chrysler Pasifica. It has around 151,000 miles but I had never had a problem with a car because of the high mileage. It was destroyed inside but I could fix those things in time. I test drove it in the area they specified me to do this text drive. It seemed okay. I paid $4,000 cash and still owe around $800. In the way home I stopped to put gas and checked the oil. Everything looked fine to me. After leaving the gas station I realized the car was shaking. I stopped and it has 4 nuts out of 5 loose from one of the back wheels. His mechanic left the nuts loose after changing the brake pads. After driving another mile the car transmission won't shift. The RPMs goes up to around 3,000 and the car won't pass 30 miles an hour. I had to pay for a Tow Truck because they wouldn't. I asked for my money back but because I signed a paper saying I'm buying the car as it is they won't give me the money back. They offered me to pick a different car and for all of them Mr. Kyle (Dealer Owner) keep asking for more money. I even picked an old 1995 Oldsmobile with around 55,000 mileage and he asked for $1000 more. I said I can't do that. He offered to buy the new part of the transmission that was making it leak and that would fix the problem. I gave him a week like he asked and picked the car up from his dealer to my mechanic to get it checked. The car has more problems that expected. It leaks from everywhere, the transmission problem is a problem of it own that will cost more than $3,000 to fix and this is without mentioning the whole list of things that need to be fix like the computers connected to everything that makes the car operate the right way. I am very frustrated not just because all the unexpected problems the car has but also because Mr. Kyle keeps lying to me. They are 3 Laws in Florida where I live called Lemon Laws and none of them apply to my case because the car is used. I wish the owner would take a look inside himself and see what he is doing to me. Today I'm going back to the dealer to take the car back. Let see if he still honor what he said of exchanging the car for another one but this time hopefully he will help me. I'm very disappointed at this Car Dealership. Please don't be discouraged from purchasing a car with high mileage because they are not the reason I'm having this problem. I'm having this problem because the Owner and his advisers at Lee Auto Group want to take advantage of my situation. So, continue purchasing autos with high mileage but please Do Not Purchase from Lee Auto Group in Ft. Myers Florida. I know clearly a high mileage car is expected to have problems at some point but the people selling the car to you should be honest, that way you can make a better choice that works for you. Every single car that leave the Dealer after purchase should at lease take you home save and sound, don't you think?
