With the original diagnosis from our mechanic were were heading for a very costly bill to repair our… vehicle. Your technicians confirmed the diagnosis and repaired our car at 1/2 the cost! Dan was so wonderful at keeping me updated with what was happening with car and had it ready as promised. Thank you so Dan for your professionalism and accuracy with the timing and cost for our vehicle repair. by jdn1 on 05/25/2010I have no complaints about the Sales personnel at Hoffman. I thought they were very professional and from what I can tell by the various websites, we ended up witha fair price. My issue is with the Business Dept which closed the deal. We… were taol that 'Vin Etching' was madatory by STATE LAW and we ahd to pay $159. Not wanting to mahe a scene, we paid it. Whwn we returned home, I checked it out on the internet and found that this was not true and nothing but a scam to get additional money by Hoffman. I requested a refund but you guessed it - never got it. If you are thinking abouting buying at Hoffman, beware of the closing games.Hoffman is known for sleezy deals. They were good for a while, but it's back to business as usual there. Lousy service,

by snowandsurf on 05/21/2010They provided us with a competive deal on a lease, based on no money down/ turning in our previous Honda Finance leased vehicle. Seemed simple and efficient, we were happy, then the "outstanding" bills started arriving from Honda Finance.… We checked in with our sales person, he said to ignore same everything all set implying it's Honda Finance's mistake, they're taking care of, but the bills continued on the old turned in vehicle. Gradually our communications to the dealer and subsequently to the owners of the Hoffman Group were completely ignored- no response at all! We have bought and leased many, many cars in our years, NEVER have we ever witnessed customer treatment like this!!! We had no alternative but to seek legal action, unbelievable!!! Shame on you Hoffman Honda, shame on you Hoffman brothers! You do not deserve anyone's business, you are a disgrace! How dare you have the logo- Driven by Trust!Please do not trust this dealership!
by tartiles on 08/23/2009This dealership took advantage of the US Government's Cash for Clunkers (CARS) program by enticing customers to visit them, claiming they were participating and had vehicles in stock, without divulging that they were neither giving car… discounts or any trade-in allowances. Our experience was that they violated two of the Customers Bill of Rights stipulated in the CARS law: 1. They failed to provide any discount from the MSRP prices, while other dealers in the area were doing so. What's more they enticed us to travel a long distance (because of their stock) with the implication that there would be a discount. 2. They failed to provide us with their best estimate of the "scrap value" of our trade-in. That is, without even finding out what the trade-in was, the scrap value would be zero. They said how they made over 170 CARS program sales with zero trade-in allowances. Above actions are against the spirit of the CARS program, which was written as an incentive to stimulate the US economy.Seems to run parallel with my experience just posted. Reading this review triggered me to post the same, hopefully others will follow to let the truth be told! I've also heard from many friends that have been subject to bait and switch and other unethical techniques within their service department...

They were very clear that we referred them and we qualify for the $200 referral bonus. I have been calling weekly for 6 months with no… results. I am an active duty military officer and have given them my new address on numerous occasions. Unfortunately I cannot pay them a visit. by BobbyJohn on 01/03/2014updated 08/08/2025A stressful Thursday afternoon with the snow coming down, was amazingly dispelled by the positive actions of the AAA and Hoffman Honda.....my 1 1/2 year old Honda CR-V wouldn't start.....after Triple A jump started it, decided to take the… car to Hoffman Honda to check out the battery........there was a faulty (short) connection and the battery was fried......... Arrived at Hoffman Honda at 3:30....the gentleman who greeted me was very cooperative and then my interaction with Samantha in customer service, I assume, was very special. She was compassionate, warm and understanding with her genuine concern for my situation. I appreciated that very much. The car needed a new battery and I was driving out of the lot by 4:30 and no charge for the work done since it was under warranty. What a relief!! I was totally impressed with my overall experience at Hoffman Honda.........I live in Avon and have leased my Hondas with Schaller in New Britain. I will consider dealing with Hoffman in the future, when my lease is up. The flat rate (without conveyance fees, etc.) price they… listed and the flat rate price I paid were very close. I would not have bought a Honda had that not been the case, I would have gone to Torrington Toyota. I was able to buy a Honda because Lauren offered me a great price and was extremely up-front/honest with me.Quality product and service

Unlike basic garages, Hoffman performs current service and discusses upcoming service needs, not to sell anything, but to manage… expectations. For example for oil changes they don't just fill up oil tank like many garages. They also check other fluids, fill up tires to correct pressure, and check other key things like brakes, transmission, etc. I appreciate their quality service at competitive prices.
