    I was a bit nervous to be buying a new car on my own, but they made it easy and pleasant. I never felt pressured and Joe was great to explain all the finance options, advantages and disadvantages until I had the right package for me!

    We found our salesperson, Linda, to be very helpful and accommodating, answering our questions and detailing all new car features to our satisfaction. John made the buying experience pleasant. Overall, we appreciate Stanford Suburu's approach to new customers.

    Sean Colligan at Subaru Stamford was honest and upfront from the test drive to the final paperwork. He was terrific to deal with and very knowledgeable with all Subaru vehicles. He returned all my phone calls and emails quickly. And the 2015 XV Crosstrek is fun to drive. Looking forward to the snow.

    Jonathan DiMeglio************11stars! I've been buying cars for 40+ yrs. and Jonathan DiMeglio, hands down is the best salesman I've ever had the pleassure to deal with. Lightning quick responses/over the top car knowledgeable/straight shooter w/no B.S. and helpful with option choices for our '15 Legacy that made sense for us. I live in Rockand County, NY and will go back to Stamford, CT for my next Subaru Outback. We dealt with dozens of sales people/dealers/manufacturers before finally buying a car this Spring/'15 but he's in a class by himself. Kudos and thank you!

  • Do not trade your car

    Aside from the trade in games I was pleased with the purchase of my 2015 outback. After agreeing on an amount which was more than fair they changed it and offered less. Although they said they never use kbb values, they are using kbb values to resell my car for more than $4000 over what they gave me. They only use kbb value to make their offer look good, and another source to chew me down. Not happy with this at all.
    • Hello Lpag, Ray Baldwin here...I know we've talked about this and I do apologize for the way you feel about your trade value vs. our asking price; please keep in mind that's not what we expect the car to sell for, much the same as you did not pay MSRP for your Outback.

    We loved working with Jonathan DiMeglio to purchase just the right car for us. He made himself available to us on a week-end and both before and after we purchased just the right vehicle. He offered us an unbeatable price and a fantastic level of service. We look forward to servicing the car at the Subaru of Stamford and will most likely purchase from there again. It was also great working with the finance manager at the dealership, who also provided an outstanding level of service to us and made our squirmy 6 year enjoy her first car dealership experience.

    This was the first time I had purchased a vehicle out of state and the whole experience and process was made just too easy. Jonathan DiMeglio the Internet sales associate was a pleasure to deal with. He provided me with photos, information, and a great price that made my drive right past 6 other Subaru dealers for a quick and effortless sale.

    After looking around at a few dealers I decided to head to Stamford Subaru when I realized that Rich worked there -- I had previously bought a car from Rich 10 years earlier at another dealership, as had my wife a few years before that. I'm glad we re-connected because Rich (and Ted as well) was very helpful in assisting me to find a new car to lease that day. Ted was very patient with us on the test drive and in explaining all the features/details of the new car. Both Rich and Ted made it an easy decision for me to buy the car from this dealership, and I would recommend them both to any future car buyers looking for a Subaru. Thanks guys.

    I had a great experience with Subaru Stamford. My dealer was Ted M. First I would like to say that this was the second dealer I dealt with. I had a terrible experience with the first dealer I went to in New Jersey. I ordered a brand new 2015 WRX on May 5, 2014 and was promised by the dealer a 6-8 week delivery. When the 6 week marker arrived I was told I probably wouldn't get it for another 4-6 weeks. Another 4 weeks pass and I was told I probably wouldn't get one until end of August early September. That's when I asked my dealer to look into dealer trades because I saw there was many in the Tri-state area. The dealer did not do as asked and he was not helpful at all. Finally, I decided to contact Ted M, and he was able to tell me an exact date and it even arrived two days early. When I arrived to the dealership, I was a little early and Ted gave me the keys and check out my new car and we test drove it to a local Dunkin Donuts and he treated myself and my girlfriend to coffee. When we arrived back at the dealership, the finance manager was still busy, so Ted gave me a 1GB flash drive to fill up on music he had on his computer. I sat with Luke, the finance manager, to fill out the final paper work. He tried selling me the usual extended warranty and the Mutishield, which I actually purchased. There was a lot of paper work I signed, but when we got to the bill of sale I was about to sign, but the figures did not look right to me. I was getting charged for an optional theft deterrent program which I was unaware of. This upset me a little, but he said it was because it was not crossed of in the purchase order. After all the paper work was signed, I met back with Ted to get the keys and vehicle manual and tire warranty. Here he went over the maintenance and all the options of the car. He also showed me all the blue tooth shortcuts. We then drove to the gas station next door and he filled up the car. Before we left we asked for suggestions for dining close by. He recommended a great restaurant, which turned out to become an awesome date night for my girlfriend and I. A couple days later I received a friendly follow up phone call from Ted asking me how I was enjoying the car. I greatly appreciated the phone call. Overall I had great experience with Stamford Subaru and Ted M.

  • Terrible Customer Service

    Terrible customer service and very rude sales staff!! Salesman changed the price on the car twice, even when original quote was on paper. Saying prices changed. Picked up car, salesman didn't even take the time to show me the car or how anything worked, just gave me the keys and put the plates on. Later had problems, tried several times to get a hold of sales dept. Left many messages, emails. Took over a day for anyone to respond. Do not go to Subaru Stamford!!! My sister bought a car from [another dealership] and has been happy with their staff from the beginning. I should have gone there instead! Now I know better! Only 3 more years left with a car I hate and a dealership I hate dealing with and then I'll be done!
    • This started out as a case of buyer's remorse after the customer / reviewer had an accident in her brand new Subaru. After the accident, she called us and asked us to take back car. Unfortunately after a car is hit, it is very difficult to help a customer out of a car without someone taking some financial responsibility. This was all explained appropriately and then she decided to keep car. Soon afterwards, customer had a seat adjustment issue which I got involved with Subaru national and handled expeditiosly for her. Customer is happy with results as explained by her follow up review on a different review site dealerrater.com. I have asked her to respond to this review as well but she is apparently very busy. The nice thing about our dealership is that if there ever is a problem, it gets handled because we are one of the few remaining family owned dealerships with ownership on premises daily.

    Couldn't have been happier. Had been to several dealers before winding up at Stamford Subaru. This was the first and only dealer to get straight to the chase. Gave me the best deal by far without playing any games, negotiating or haggling. I bought the car on the spot since I knew right away they were the real deal. Very comfortable to deal with.

    I recently went into subaru stamford looking for a used car, with not a tremendous amount of money to spend. My sales person Jim G., was both considerate of my budget, and compassionate. He walked me through this whole experience without pushing, and i was very impressed. I will definitely buy another vehicle from him!!!

    I bought a used 2010 VW Jetta from Subaru Stamford. I worked with Greg P. and Bobby J. They were both very professional and friendly. They did not use any high pressure sales tactics. I was very satisfied with the price of the car and the entire sales process was straight forward. I did not use their service dept. so can't comment of quality of work. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

    I recently was in an accident and was in need of a used car. I had gone to 4 different dealers, with poor experiences. I went here and dealt with Jim G. He was FANTASTIC. was not pushy and was extremely helpful. Was really a great experience
