Sketchy experience start to finish

on2 star average rating? Makes sense! From the start, this felt very “off” but I wanted to trust them. The sales experience was slimy and they hire people who pretend that they are sales people, but in reality they just handle inbound inquiries, gain the interest from the perspective buyer and then switch them to a sales person the moment they step foot into the showroom. I was clear about what I wanted with the lease and they agreed to it, in writing. I was promised that the clear bra would cover the zones we discussed and agreed to, INCLUDING the front bumper and rocker panels, since those areas get the most rock chips on our highways. I paid nearly $1100 (documentation attached) for those items to be done, and they put it into the contract on a “WE OWE” sheet which is a legal binding document. I made countless calls and emails to the owner of the dealership as well as the general sales manager Greg Jones, of which I have all documentation of. The sales person, James was also involved in the entire transaction and kept saying he was embarrassed by how they handled everything and he wished they had more integrity. Greg stated he would have a mobile tech come out and install the clear bra as promised, but they never did so. I owned the car almost a month and they still didn’t do what they promised. I called BMW customer care and they started a case file for me but stated that since the dealer is independently owned, it would have to be taken care of with the dealership. They stated they reached out to the dealer Gebhardt, and Greg told them they didn’t need to honor their contract, since I sold the vehicle. They completely ignored the fact (literally fact) that I contacted them many times to get the work done, and to talk about my concerns with the dealership after leasing a $100k vehicle. They NEVER followed up, including the owner of the dealership or the general sales manager, NOBODY. I feel sorry for James the sales person, because he stated he’s always caught in the middle of their promises and tactics. Well this time is different, it’s a contract, it’s in writing and they’ve failed to follow through with their written promises, for products I paid for and never received. This is pure fraud. Stay away from this dealership. I will continue to spread the word because it’s black and white, and documented.

Best Buying Experience Ever

onGeorge treated us exceptionally well and the negotiations were straightforward, without any of the usual dealership games. He took a great deal of time to orient us thoroughly with the vehicle and followed up afterwards to see if we had any additional questions. This was easily the best purchasing experience we've ever had.

onPurchased my 435xi from Kory. Service was top-notch, very friendly and patient and eager to ensure all my questions were answered. They do not try to upsell you anything you don't need. They got the clear bra and the tinting all taken care of for me before I picked up the vehicle. I will buy my next car from them too.

onI was treated very well during every step of my recent BMW purchase. When I arrived from out of town to complete the deal, the car was inside the dealership under a drape, which with suitable ceremony was pulled off for a dramatic unveiling!

Treated like crap!!

onI was offered to drive a used car for a day. When I arrived it was explained to me that someone else was interested in buying the same car. So I wasted my time waiting around over an hour until it was explained to me that the general manager's neighbor (who was interested in buying the car) was vastly more important than me so they were given preferential treatment. No thanks! Not interested in this dealership any more. YOU ARE TREATED LIKE DIRT!!!! The offer also was very poor and the offer for my BMW in excellent condition was extremely low if the low mileage was considered and the Kelly Blue Book/NADA values were used. Gee, I didn't know that even they value their own product so poorly! I think I'll be buying a better quality product with much higher reliability quite soon - from someone else!! I live in a Country Club area so you bet the whole club will soon hear about this one!!

First purchase in 10 years

onI haven't purchased a vehicle in 10 years, and I was surprised to see how quick and efficient the internet has made purchasing a vehicle. Aaron at Gebhardt responded to my email in 5 minutes. Upon arriving at the store, we were offered water, coffee or soda, and Aaron had us test driving within 10 minutes. They had the 2011 BMW X3 that we wanted. We felt like one of the family, and we would recommend Gebhardt BMW to anyone looking to purchase a BMW.

Bad Experience

onI called the INTERNET sales manager to see if he had a vehicle to fit my needs. He said he did and he needed for me to get a buy bid on my trade. I didn't understand that... since they aren't going to take my word anyway. I also arranged my own financing but he insisted that i try getting theirs. I thought it was moving forward and he asked me to come in. When i got there he said he hadn't got a call back on my trade. I was getting upset at this point. I sat there for an hour and a half and then he comes in and tells me "That car sold and i don't have another one that will work for what you need." I had been working on this deal with him for 3 days, dropped my credit with inquiries, and drove all the way there for nothing. I felt lied to. They know how to appraise trades and what to do and they drug their feet. That night after the sales manager assured me i'd hear back from them.. he wouldn't answer the phone or call me back and tell me if they do price matching. These guys are a waste of time and do business poorly. This was an easy deal since i did all the work myself and they still couldn't close it. I'd think twice before shopping here if I were you.

onMy sales experience with Gebhardt BMW was pleasurable enough. The staff was friendly and applied absolutely no pressure to buy. A test drive was easy enough to arrange without any pushy tactics on the drive or during a discussion of vehicle availability, ordering times or basic pricing. However, when I was a little more serious about the vehicle, I sent emails to the salesperson I had been working with along with sales people at other area dealerships asking for their best price quote on the precise vehicle I had in mind, making it clear that if I decided to buy at this time I was ready to do so on relatively short notice. I quickly received price quotes from two other local BMW dealers within 24 hours (differing by a few thousand dollars), but the Gebhardt salesperson simply said he would meet or beat the price quotes I got from the other dealers. While an admirable position, I was dismayed by the fact that they were unwilling to quote me an actual price and were instead going to base their best price on what other area dealers were willing to sell to me for. That tells me that while friendly, they also weren't very anxious to close the deal and were more concerned about either highballing or lowballing the price they gave me than about gaining my business. For reasons that have nothing to do with the dealership or salesperson I ultimately decided to buy a different brand of vehicle, and had I decided to buy I very likely would have bought at Gebhardt. I just found the unwillingness to provide a hard number a surprising distraction in what had otherwise been a very pleasant process.

The worst buying experience ever!

onI saw a car listed on Gebhardts own BMW website that I wanted to buy. After I went down and test drove the car, I told the sales guy (Mr. George Tice) that I wanted to buy the car. When we sat down to get the price Mr. Tice started to give a price that was higher then the internet listed price. I told the guy that his price was wrong and it was listed on the internet. After he checked the internet, asked a few more questions, and took my car for a trade value, Mr. Tice then came back from his sales manager (Mr. Jeff Hayes) and stated to me the internet price on the car was wrong and raised the asking price by $4000. After another attempt to lower the price I left the place. The next day I contacted the internet sales guy, who was out of town when I was there. I told him I had a complaint about his wrong internet price. He informed that the price on the internet was the correct price. Funny thing was that was not the pricing I received. A short time later that day I did received a call from Jeff Hayes. He tried to convince me that I did get the internet price. After I reviewed the numbers I received and did some basic math and showing that they inflated the asking price. He finally stated that there must have been a miss communication. How convenient of him to use that excuse. The bottom line here is they listed a car price on the internet and then failed to honor that price. They also failed to disclose finance terms when I asked for them, after they showed me payments on the first go around. I still wonder to this day why they gave me payment amounts when I never asked for them. Be very careful when dealing with this dealership. Or do what I did and go somewhere else and ordered a new car.

Professional and courteous service. Terrific buying experience

onChoosing a vehicle that had a refined driving experience (read: fun) ranked high on our list of priorities, second only to safety. We did our research, found a make/model we liked, and were mentally prepared to spend countless hours shopping Colorado BMW dealerships. We were very pleased to find that all of our needs were met with the first dealership visit. From the dealer staff to the meticulous showroom presentation, every part of our experience at Gebhardt BMW was worthy of the storied history of the car maker. Beginning with exploration into the product offerings and option packages, our sales advisor, David, demonstrated knowledge at the level of an enthusiast. Gebhardt BMWs location was ideal for a thorough test drive. Heading east from the dealership along winding roads allowed us to get a true feel for the car. When we entered into the sales and finance process, David and Hollie were a pleasure to work with: Light and easy, equal to the goals of the customer and dealership alike, and always respectful. The service didnt stop at the point of sale: David gave us a helpful overview of the vehicle before we left the lot, and has continued to follow up with us. It leaves the comforting impression that we didnt just buy a car, we entered into an equally amicable relationship. Many of us enter into car shopping with a healthy dose of skepticism and some degree of adversarial mistrust. My recent experience has given me a fresh perspective. I will enjoy my time behind the wheel everyday with peace of mind that we were treated with fairness and respect. We absolutely love our new car, and we enjoyed the entire process with consummate professionals who helped make it a pleasurable experience.
