Stay Away!

onUnhappy does not do justice to my experience. This place wants to get you into their dealership and then try to get you into a bad deal. I walked and got the deal I wanted from the Ford Dealership in Oxnard. All done over phone, text and email, with the card delivered to my home. Should've read all the other reviews before even giving them a chance at my business.

Run away, as fast as you can

onThis was our first American car since 1995, so we were excited about the Mach-E and loved that it was dog friendly with the split fold-down seat. Our dog Chewie loves it. However, our dealership experience was a nightmare. Dirty deals, after-the-fact changes, missed appointments, lying, misogyny and a complete lack of ethics and integrity are the de facto approach from the two sales team members we encountered at DCH. We blame ourselves as well. We were warned by many, many people about this dealership (you may have been too). But don’t let the 4-star Google reviews fool you. There are holes in that system. Check out dealerrater.com, cars.com, and BBB.com and others to see the consistent 1’s which more accurately represent our experience. We were fooled by the 4’s as well. A Few Highlights: -Vehicle provided with 30% charge (Ford recommends not going below 20) -Lying about options on car, after we bought it (had do deal with GM and now dealing with Ford Corporate) -Our Salesperson made an appointment with us after we bought it and didn't bother to show up. He knew it was his day off and made it anyway. -Rude comments and tone to my wife, until she set them straight. At one point it got so bad, my wife and I had to laugh. Seriously. It was like buying a car from a frat house. The desperation to sell a car is pathetic. In contrast, a month later, we had a vastly different experience at Vista Ford in Woodland Hills, where our family purchased a Full-sized Outer Banks/Sasquatch Bronco. The professionalism and respect shown there only highlighted the deficiencies of DCH Ford. Vista is family owned, DCH is a giant corporation that owns many, many dealerships. Apparently, they attract the c-level salespeople who learned their techniques from watching Wolf Of Wall Street in the chapter room. BTW, I sent a 3 page letter documenting this to Ford, and was informed that they do customer service surveys only on certain cars. They didn't care. American cars. I see you.

Excellent Service

onThis was my first time at this dealership. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to help. Juan Mora listened to my cars issues, guided me through the process, and sent me updates. The shuttle service was helpful and my driver Zach was also very friendly as was everyone. The car was well serviced. I am very pleased with the service.

onPlease do not order a car from DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks. My fiancé was keen on the new Mustang Mach-E and as such we went to our local ford DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks back in November of 2021. The sales associate was very helpful, we had created our desired car and placed a $1500 deposit. Waiting time was roughly 6-9 months, but considering the state of the car market that is fine. Months pass by as we see the car being built and ready to be shipped to the dealer on May 2nd and she was so excited! Just awaiting the call from the dealer to come pick it up eventually, which Ford predicted via the app would be in June. She never received a call the car had physically arrived. Monday June 13 rolls around, at which point she calls to inquire about the car and provided the vin, the associate advised they would be calling back with status but no call arose. We went to the dealer physically for an update that day excited to pick up the car. The associate looked up the VIN and advised it was sold the prior week! We were shocked no ones would call us in regards to a $55,000 vehicle arriving after a 7 month wait. Associate had advised us these models sold it at a premium of 10-15k, but we kept our composure as they said, "they would make things right." They simply apologized and advised us our only choices were to wait weeks a for lesser spec'ed model, months for the model we actually wanted, or a model expensive GT model. They advised us they could take 1k off said GT model we already cannot afford. Thank you for selling our car at a significant markup and offering us 1k off! Please avoid this Ford dealer.

onMy transaction was a great experience. I worked out a very good lease over the phone, and picked up the car the next day. The paperwork was complete and all numbers were exactly as discussed. I signed the docs, received an overview of my new car and drove off. Great dealership.
