by toyotaman3 on 11/24/2008This was the worst car buying experience I have had. The finance manager, P.J.,along with the sales associate, failed to inform me about the cost of their vehicle protection package until we were signing the paperwork. THE PACKAGE COST… NEARLY $5000.00!!!! The Service contract is PRO RATED!! What this means is that even if you have less than 36,000mi (basic bumper to bumper warranty)on your car, and you want to trade it in because Nissan makes poor quality cars (and if you buy a Nissan, you will), you will be charged for that year of service you did not even use. My service contract cost over $2,100, 1 yr. and 1mo. later, they will only credit back $1,400 back to the lien holder (nmac).Their FREE OIL CHANGES FOR LIFE is a LIE! when your car reaches 30,000 miles, you have to get the Cardinale Way inspection (NOT required by Nissan) for a $300 fee otherwise they won't continue their Cardinale Way "FREE" OIL CHANGES. Believe me, Cardinale advertises great deals, but they make it up in other ways. I hope Salvatore Cardinale reads this and changes the way things are going in his dealerships. I cannot express enough how this dealership practices truly shameful, disgusting, dishonest way of business and I STRONGLY recommend that you look elsewhere for your next vehicle purchase. If you DO go to ANY Cardinale dealership, be smart, take a calculator, and be prepared to dispute anything you think is unfair or unnecessary because they will not inform you about any new fees and charges. Remember that you are their customer, you have the right to walk away.Bad customer service
by carowner5 on 10/23/2008I purchased my car from another Nissan dealer - they offered me the best price. When I needed help with some general questions related to the warranty issues, I called Nissan of America. They said I don't have to go to the original dealer,… but to any Nissan Dealership in the US. I walked into Cardinale Nissan. The manager, P.J. Trice, refused to help: "Why you didn't purchase vehicle from us? Need help? Go to your dealer and ask them". I dealt with many dealers and sales managers in the past. None was as unfriendly as this manager. Please be aware. In fact, a PJ Trice is currently the General Manager at Cardinale Nissan (Jan 2007 to present). He lists this on his own Myspace page also: http://www.myspace.com/pj31trice Strange that carguy would try to deny this...hmmmm...
Buyer Beware
by thivai on 04/22/2008[violative content deleted] 1. Raised the price of the car between negotiation and paperwork. 2. Held back the $1000 rebate from Nissan, pocketing it for themselves. 3. Said I needed to buy the extended warranty and gap coverage to… qualify for their terrible "special" loan rate. 4. Offered me a loan rate of 7.99%, which 2.5% higher than every other dealership i visited (my credit rating is over 710) 5. Raised the loan rate to 8.09% in the paperwork. 6. Called me 18 times after I left the dealership, harassing me to come back and buy the car. There is no reason you should have an awful car buying experience. Avoid Cardinale Nissan, and any other Cardinale dealership, like the plague it is.
