Dissatisfied with Delay in Delivery and failed promises
by VWOwner72 on 07/16/2017I purchased a used 2015 GTI from Stevens Creek VW and the purchase process itself was simple and easy. The delivery of the vehicle was another story. They were supposed to inspect and detail the car in a few days but instead I had to wait… over a week and half because there were brake parts that needed to be delivered. I finally received the GTI and they hadn't detailed or cleaned it and there was nothing visible done to the brakes. The dealer offered to have me bring the car back for a full detail and I asked for a set of GTI carpet floormats for the added trouble. In the meantime I checked the service log for the week and half that I was waiting on my car and was told that nothing had been done with the brakes except an inspection and cleaning. They did put 4 new tires on but that shouldn't take a week and a half. The dealer finally completed the detail and it was up to my standards. I asked for the GTI floormats and the salesperson said he put them in the back. I should have checked at the time but didn't, my mistake. When I looked the next morning they hadn't given me the GTI floormats but instead the standard golf mats. Based on a very long and drawn out process to take delivery I would not be able to recommend this dealer. If you do use them make sure you get everything in writing and hold them accountable. Between the lies about the brakes and failure to deliver what they said they would include I would not recommend Stevens Creek VW.Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback.
