  • Dealer who does not honor their own CPO benefits

    I purchaed a year old CPO car from them in 2024. Model year is 2024. All 2024 new Hondas come with 24 month complementary maintenance plan. Also CPO comes with a free oil change/tire roation as well. When I went back to service my car under the plan, I was denied. I talked to their office/finance manager. He told me that I am entiteld to the plan. He however said he needed to get approval from service manager and he was in a meeting. I left my phone number/email however I have not heard from them since.

    I recently visited AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa looking for a car for my daughter who is turning 18. We went just to browse but we ended up purchasing a new Civic! Our salesperson Tabby was amazing. She answered all our questions and made us feel at ease and not pressured at all. She was patient friendly and knowledgeable. Mr Grande was amazing as well. He got us in and out of there and stayed after hours to close the deal. We highly recommend this dealership.

    Came in almost two weeks ago now to purchase my very first car. Mark was the salesperson we worked with and he was able to patiently help me during the entire process! His service was amazing although I did not expect the sales process to be so long when it came to working with the office’s finance team. We had to work through and go back and forth on a couple of questions I had regarding the financing options, but we got through it. Overall, Honda Costa Mesa provided superb sales service.     Stopped by Costa Mesa Autonation to look at an Odyssey on my way Acura to most likely replace my MDX. We were helped by Hamzeh Amal, salesman, and he was great!! Listened to what I wanted, which was room to travel comfortably with 8 adults if needed and could see that I really loved my MDX. Showed me the Pilot, and I loved it and purchased the Pilot Elite which had all the bells and whistles my mdx had. Hamzeh made us feel comfortable and showed us he really cared and we were happy with our pick. Hamzeh made sure to keep an eye on us through the whole financial process until the end.     Found this car listed on Edmunds. I purchased the 2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with 20,737 miles for $36,998! It offers excellent off-road capabilities, tough styling, and truly excellent reliability. These aren't the most high-tech SUVs, but they're incredibly durable and capable, and they'll run forever – and this is a one-owner example (with 4-wheel drive, of course), that offers great maintenance history and nice condition inside and out finished in Super White with a black interior. Reminds me of the Storm Troopers in Star Wars! The Carfax history report indicates no accidents or mileage discrepancies; it also shows that this truck has been registered exclusively in Orange County California. Service records show all the maintenance was performed on this 4Runner since it was new, engine oil change, oil filter, and engine air filter were all performed by a Toyota dealer.     Two months ago, my car completely died, so I immediately had to look for a new vehicle. I used Edmunds to read reviews about cars, dealerships, etc. because I found the most thorough and good collection of reviews. I want to leave a review here as a thank you to Edmunds for helping me on my car journey. I will do my best to keep this brief. Car shopping is stressful. The economy right now sucks. I felt defeated before I even entered most car places. Auto Nation Honda provided the best experience I’ve ever had when car shopping - by far. Every person I spoke with was thorough, honest, and let me take my time as I looked elsewhere to compare prices. I left with a brand new 2024 Honda Accord that I am leasing at a phenomenal price. My Salesperson, Habib, was so patient with me as I asked every question under the sun. He never made me feel rushed or pressured which I greatly appreciated.     One of the best experiences in our lives. We walked in with our German Shepard there, and all employees were super friendly. We walked out with our new Honda CRV Hybrid, urban Grey. So happy. Special shout out to Enzo and Hamed. They both were so helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. This place has such a positive energy because of people who work there.     A a new customer of AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa, I have had a few outstanding experiences working with both the sales and service teams. They were professional, honest and direct, which is what I look for in a car dealership. Here’s my story. Day 1: While having my 2013 Honda diagnosed and serviced, I walked over to the sales department to kill some time. Long story, short… At the end of the day I drove home in a new 2023 Honda. As one of two remaining Accords for that model year (everything else was 2024), I got a very good price. Day 2: Unfortunately, there was a problem with the driver assistance technology warning lights flashing on. A web search revealed that the problem was shared by some other Honda owners. It was often difficult to diagnose. Sometimes it went away. Sometimes it didn’t. Day 3: The problem was quickly diagnosed but supply chain shortages meant a long wait for the repair. The sales department followed up and offered a direct, one-for-one swap with an identical model - expect it would be a 2024, which was the latest model year. Of course I took the offer. To me, that was truly commendable and a statement on the high quality of support that the service and sales teams provide their customers. Naz Moradshahi Javid helped with the purchase of the 2023 model, and Habib Abdukarim helped with the 2024 model. Both of these people were extraordinarily helpful and very pleasant to work with. (Not at all the ’pushy’ sales person type.) For both cars, Austin Grande helped with all the purchase and financial options as well as assembling the associated paperwork. Cristhian Plascencia and Michael (didn’t get his last name) helped me in the service department and they were great to work with. Thanks to those people who helped me directly and thanks to AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa! P.S. I am left with one question that, if someone couldn’t answer, I would greatly appreciate. I also bought the Vehicle Protection Plan that AutoNation offers. The terms were better than Honda’s Extended Care Plan. I trust the reputation of AutoNation. But I am unable to find the name of the specific company that provides this plan. This leaves me somewhat uncomfortable. I do know that the AutoNation Protection Plan is administrated by Consumer Program Administrators, Inc. But it’s also difficult to find factual information on this company as well through a web search. If anyone can provide additional information on this plan and its provider/administrator, I’d appreciate it.

    I bought a car from them around a week ago at this point, and everyone during this whole process was amazing. The car I came in for was a 2023 Civic Hatchback which ended up getting sold before I was able to come in, which obviously really sucked but they ended up showing me a couple cars that were similar that I might be interested in. I test drove a couple and decided that I really liked a 2018 Civic EX-L that they had pre owned in the back. There was no heckling or pressuring to purchase a vehicle like most dealers which I really appreciated since this was my first time financing a car instead of buying one in cash like I've done before. Both Omar and Habib were the nicest and always kept me updated on what was going on and how everything is going to proceed. I really enjoyed doing business with them and will be coming back/recommending this place to others!
