    I've been taking my Forester to Putnam Subaru for 5 years. I've always felt very confident in their service and repair expertise. The staff is very customer friendly and makes you feel like part of their family. The cost of service and repairs is fair and the work is flawless.

  • Poor Service, Dishonest Dealership - Don't go there - You will be sorry

    I bought my first new car at Putnam. I thought mysalesguys was some onedecent, untiI I picked up the car and he wasn't there to show me anything about the car.The car was dirty , they didn't eve have the decency to remove the stickers so I ould see to drive it.Two weeks later I brought the car in to have the bumper pads added and to get the detail. THey kept the car all day and when I returned it still was not cleaned...stickers still on the windows. I called the sales man Raul and he infomred me they would make things right. I explained to him my window was getting stuck. He told me that happened to another person he sold a car to because they did not remove thesticker and it broke the seal inside the window. This past weekend I took the car in for the window and an oil changes and the full detail. Again, I left the car all day. When I picked the car up I was told the window did not stick on them so they were not going to chnage the seal. Iasked about the oil change and was told it's a new car!! WHat do yo uexpect ??? Lastly, I got in the car to still see a sticer stuck on the window behind the rear view mirror. My full service detail was a quick run aournd the car with a hose. I have left the Manager a message and hope they return my call for whatever that is worth. My advice to anyone reading this is don't waste your time. I have spent over 16 hours of my life at this place,,,with terrible service.Iwill never buy another car from Putnam again. They are very dishones, and do not meet the standard that Suburau sp proudly advertises.

    I've got a 2006 Outback that is one of the best cars I've owned and plan on driving it for many years to come. I took it into this dealership last year for the 30,000 mile service. The service was pricey, but I do live in San Francisco, so I'm used to paying a little more for living expenses. As far as I could tell, they completed all of the items that were shown on the service sheet. This was until last week when I took my car into a local place that I've been going to for years. I had them check the brakes and they told me that my brake fluid needed to be changed, which is a 30,000 service. They said there was no possibly way that it had ever been changed. I had them perform the service. I called the dealer back to discuss the problem and they mentioned that it had been done. Since I've been going to the local service place for many, many years and buy my tires, get my brakes done and oil serivce done there, I trust these guys. Also, they've never recommended any service or repair that is out of ordinary and are straightforward on repairs/service that needs to be done now or can wait six months. I would suggest that anyone thinking of using Putnam should find a different dealer or service shop. Thanks.
