    I hate buying cars and I have to tell you this was the best car buying experience I've ever had and I am almost 60. I feel like it was about me not what can I sell here. The finance dept. was great and smooth!!! Whoever is in charge of the car buying experience training at Bill Luke...my hats off to you. I would gladly refer anyone to your dealership and would diffently drive the extra 45 minutes to purchase another car from Bill Luke. Thanks for a great job.

  • Rough Internet Sales Experience

    Decent Price/Bad Customer Service & Follow Up- Purchased a vehicle in April/May 2014 from this dealership over the internet and came across a number of issues through the whole process. First I do want to say at the end of the day, I like the vehicle I purchased but am having to spend some money to get it up to par. Working any kind of deal from afar requires VERY good communication between the sales team and the buyer as well as between groups within the dealership. I Had a lot of issues on both which made the experience very frustrating. Internet sales mgr Rick quickly passes over the sale to a sales staff to finish out- - Item #1- get the agreed price, items to be added all IN WRITING. This will help to ensure no good cop/bad cop is played between sales individuals. - Item #2- Request that all visible defects be disclosed to you. In my case, there were headrests missing, torn back of seats, modified tailgate that was welded on, , etc. that could be missed easily if you have a friend/colleague look over the vehicle for you (which is required for a sale). They clearly will not honestly offer up this information to you. - Item #3 - Finance Department- Be careful of this Team- Wend the finance mgr will try to push things through if it is at the end of the month without regard to your needs/requests. They tried to slip in a $500 alarm kit which was not requested so all new paperwork had to be drawn- even then there were issues. - Item #4- They fed ex the docs to sign and get down payment but I am still yet to receive a copy of the documents (pink copies). Just not a priority after they have what they need. - Item #5 - Feedback provided via a company survey but have not received a single call from a manager to follow up on items shared. This may happen in the coming days but am shocked that this is not a bigger priority as the longer time goes on, the more sites I plan to share feedback. - Item #6- Received the vehicle and 1- antenna missing, No car detail that would be expected from any dealership (look like they just washed it after receiving from owner) and NORMALLY when you buy a vehicle, they put a tank of gas in the vehicle- not Bill Luke- Was almost empty. Every vehicle I have ever bought from a dealership offered this courtesy. - For the items that I feel they owed me- Agreed upon floor mats, antenna, tank of gas- we are talking about $250 which is not much but the point is that the lack of customer service to address something this small just astounds me on a $32k vehicle. ** Buyer Beware and good luck in your search

    I gave Bill Luke one star, only because there were no negative star options. I'm a Disabled Veteran and have to rely on my wife for transportation. As an Anniversary gift I told my wife she could have the car of her choice. She chose the 2012 Dodge Journey. She worked hard shopping the internet and chose Bill Luke. She called and spoke with Yvette and built a trust with her. She explained our situation. How much we wanted to spend per month, our trade in, how we don't like to haggle, what features we prefer, AND also that we had fair to poor credit. It was important that they knew this prior to us making a 45 min drive to the dealership. My wife called Yvette and told her we'd be on our way and when we should be there. When we arrived Yvette was nowwhere to be found. We were told she was with another customer and that Steve would be our salesman. My wife spoke with Yvette about two vehicles a 2012 Dodge Journey SXT and a 2012 Dodge Journey SE American Value Package (AVP). Steve had both vehicles brought to the front. We looked over both vehicles and test drove the SXT. my wife loved the Vehicle. She especially liked the Sirius Satellite Radio and the UConnect radio functions. I asked Steve what features the SXT had that the SE AVP didn't include. I was told by Steve that the SE AVP didn't include roof rack, tint, driver side power seat. I asked if Sirius Sat Radio, and Uconnect radio functions were included, I was told they were. We then got to go in his office for the numbers around 11:30am. We told Steve of our pmt amount requested, and that our credit was fair to poor. He came back and said that the SXT was $140.00 ABOVE our requested payment amount. I said that wouldn't work for us and we could try for the SE AVP. He came back around 12:30 pm with a price on the SE AVP that was $70.00 ABOVE our requested Payment. He asked if we could go above our requested pmt. HERE WE GO HAGGLING ! ! ! Instead of walking out, I relented and said I'd go as high as $25.00 over. We spent the next hour and a half waiting as he would pop in and out... saying finance was working hard on it. Finally at 2pm he came in looked me in the eye and shook my hand and said we have a deal at $25.00 over my pmt price. When we got to finance, they did the usual pitch to add upgrades like car security and extended warranty, which we declined. We were told our pmt would be $60.00 over our requested pmt price. I was irrate to say the least. I asked why Steve told me we had a Deal at $25.00 over and why he lied to me. I was told it wasn't Steve's fault and he (the finacne guy) tried to get that rate, but due to our credit we didn't qualify for that pmt. I told him Steve was aware of that fact we had fair to poor credit. At that point we should've left, but my wife loved the car, the Uconnect and Sirius Radio. So being late to pick up our kids and being in the dealership all day. I relented and ok'd the purchase. After leaving the finance office, Steve was putting the Satelite Antenna on our Vechicle. At this point I wanted nothing to do with Steve and we needed to get our kids. On our way home we realize we don't have Satellite Radio and we have no buttons on the Steering Wheel to operate the Uconnect functions. I called the Dealership tne next morning(8am) to speak with a Customer Service Manager. I was sent to that persons voice mail. I leave a message to call and get no response. i called again in the afternoon to talk to a sales manager again I have to leave a message on a voice mail. My wife called Dodge and filed a complaint against the dealership. Still no response. I called again... again I was sent to a voice mail. THREE CALLS... THREE MESSAGES... NO CALL BACKS... This Dealership should not be trusted. I would strongly suggest you look somewhere else to purchase a vehicle.

    Wow, who would have thought that a Chrysler dealer would be so laid-back and easy to deal with? We're usually premium (German) car buyers but this Bill Luke dealership really threw us for a loop with their professional yet laid-back approach. Highly recommended.

    If I could give a negative, I would rank it -100: I am inly posting this here to warn people becasue Bill Luke's staff doesnt care nor have they responded to any of my email concerns, then after you read this entire post I get an email stating I hope you enjoyed you experience, really?? They have got to be the most backwards dealership I have ever dealt with I wouldnt care if they were the only dealership in Phoenix I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from them again! So sad they turned a blind eye and after reading some of these complaints I see that they do not learn from there bad dealings... Bill Luke, advice... I would fire your entire staff! On Wednesday November 27th I was in the market for a Jeep Wrangler and proceeded to Bill Luke's website as I had purchased a 2011 Jeep Liberty from them 1 year prior, this was a certified vehicle at time of purchase. I found the one that was of interest Stock # DN51235A, 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the following description "17" FUEL WHEELS WITH OFFROAD TIRES & CUSTOM LIFT, 4X4, HARD TOP, POWER DOORS & WINDOWS, BACK UP CAMERA, RUNNING BOARDS, TOW PKG, CERTIFIED!!!. Imagine yourself behind the wheel of this wonderful-looking and fun 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Jeep Certified Pre-Owned means you not only get the reassurance of a 3Mo/3,000Mile Maximum Care Limited Warranty, but also up to a 7-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, a 125-point inspection/reconditioning, 24/7 roadside assistance, rental car benefits, and a complete CARFAX vehicle history report. Can't talk now, I'm mashing the pedal and passing cars. It's willing to test your nerves, can you handle it? Well can you ? Prove it!". Kind of bad marketing but not suprised now! I submitted a online appraisal to see the price of current vehicle and after receiving I headed to Bill Luke in Phoenix, some 50 miles away. If anyone lives in Phoneix they know how bad traffic is at 3pm, even worse day before Thanksgiving, and the drive back, over 2 hours in traffis. Upon my arrival I meet a Salesman and will not mention as this was not about him. We tracked the vehicle down and he stated and I quote "We got his a couple days ago on trade, it hasn't even made it back to our Service department". I asked if I could test drive, he stated "no there is no inspection, and the front glass needs to be replaced as there are 2 rock shatter cracks, the tires need to be replaced as they were almost wore down on one side and not safe, but we could drive in parking lot". I test drove another one but decided to leave as I am furious after reading this description as being certified, making the drive down there to view a vehicle, clearly not certified nor looked at and looked like it had been off road, was filthy. I proceeded to email Bill Luke's staff a Sparkle H and after back and forth who said it was going to their manager based on the experience. Next day was Thanksgiving, but got a email on the 29th and again back and forth 18 email later, I basically told her that I yet to see anything from any one but her and if that is not a problem in the eyes of their management, then lesson learned. What is even more disturbing is I purchased my vehicle from them and when I took it to get the first oil change I was told it is leaking oil as the front seal was bad. Keep in mind, not even 3,000 mile on it. I took to Bill Luke service and they said nope all is good, took there word for it. If they are posting a certified vehicle that has a damaged front windshield, no inspection, and tires that are not safe to drive on, then how can that be a certified preowned, was my vehicle even looked at, what is the standard? This is what is on their website "Each vehicle on our lot has undergone a meticulous inspection by our auto technicians to ensure the Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge standard for superior pre-owned vehicles. We are your destination for a used Dodge, Ram, Jeep or Chrysler, and we are proud to provide Phoenix with well-maintained used cars at low prices. We look forward to seeing you soon at our Phoenix Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Chrysler dealership." False advertising, no customer support, and if there is an issue they turn a blind eye... If you need a vehicle go somewhere else, if they post this vehicle as preowned CERTIFIED in that condition, I can only imagine what their definition of certified means, change the oil and wash... Please dont wast your time or energy, the complaints that are here shows a serious pattern of deceit.
    • I am sorry for the inconvenience. Our GSM has tried to email you about the detail and hasn’t heard from you so if you have a chance please give us a call at 602-249-1234. Essentially there is a process here to get the certified vehicle ready to sell. Firstly, we verify with Chrysler upon arrival that this vehicle can be certified – if so, then it becomes certified online and goes to the shop for safety inspection, detail, and repairs if necessary. The vehicle you wanted had met this first step, but had not yet gone to the shop- therefore it was not ready to sell to you. I am terribly sorry about this, but we cannot sell this vehicle until it has met all of the certified criteria – such as replacing the windshield and tires as you specified. Once it has been through the shop it would be in the condition one would expect as a certified unit. Thanksgiving week is hectic and I’m sorry that the vehicle was not ready, but it was not falsely advertised. Once through the shop, it will be an amazing Certified Jeep available from Bill Luke – Serving Arizonans Since 1927.

    Normally I hate walking into car dealerships but Murphy at Bill Luke made my car buying experience great! He was honest, friendly and no pressure. I will definitely go back to Bill Luke when I need a new car. The entire process was smooth and quick and I love my new car!!

  • car couldn't be found when we arrived to pick up

    after negotiating a price on-line we scheduled an appointment to look at the car & finish the purchase. After making us wait 20 minutes we were told they could not find the car. they then after making us wait another 15 minutes said the car was at a show & it would take 90 minutes to bring it back. the internet sales person also asked if we were interested in looking at other cars. We drove across town for this deal. We left the building & purchased another car at a competitor that afternoon. no follow up phone call to apologize etc etc. Cannot recommend this dealer based on this experience.

    The initial contact started on their web site after I saw a truck on their inventory list I was interested in. I wrote down the stock number for future reference and made contact with their online rep. Right out of the gate, this person was trying to get purchase commitment from me before even looking at the truck. I told her I would like to look at it and would be at the dealership within the hour. She requested we check in with the fron desk upon arrival which we did. We were told at that time it would be a little while before a sales associate could get to us. I left my business card with the receptionist and told her we would be on the West side of the lot looking for this truck. We walked the lot for half an hour and could not locate the truck. We went back into the store and told the receptionist that we still had not been contacted by the sales department. We then spent another half hour or so looking at a truck on the showroom floor with the same cab configuration as the one we were looking for. At this point an hour had passed and no one from the sales department had come out and greeted us, said hi, or we are busy but will be with you soon. None of this happened. We did observe sales staff on the lot mulling around. The truck I was looking for was a 3500 Mega Cab 4 X 4. There is not a lot of them out there in the Big Horn trim. Before we left, we stopped by the front desk and told the receptionist we were leaving and we had not been contacted by the sales staff. Now, this is one of the car companies that had asked and recieved a financial bail out by the tax payers. The Ram Heavy Duties and built in Mexico. This does nothing to help the American job situation. The GM truck I did buy was built in Arlington Texas. The bottom line is Bill Luke Dodge did not deserve my business. Their customer meet and greet process needs an overhaul.

    A 2013 Hyundai Genesis was delivered for pickup to me without floor matts. Unfortunately, I did not notice right away.

    I'm so happy with the service I received from bill Luke! My first email was responded to in minutes after I sent it, and we had a test drive scheduled the next day. We were approached in the parking lot and was wonderfully helped threw the purchase process from the first hello through to handing me the keys to my brand new jeep. The entire staff was polite, professional, and clearly had creating a positive car buying experience as a priority. Many thanks to everyone at Bill Luke, and I love my new Jeep!
