Bad Transaction
by automachine on 01/13/2017It's surprising to find a major brand auto dealer, much less one owned by Penske, that misses the mark as badly as VW of North Scottsdale. We purchased a car out of lease from them and they ended up shortchanging us almost $500. It's not… hard to understand the mistake but the dealer seems unable to comprehend the clear and simple facts. This leads us to believe they are either grossly incompetent or outright dishonest. Either way it's entirely unacceptable and we will neither do business with these folks again nor recommend anyone else buy a car from them. I write this as an experienced business person and car buyer. This dealership simply screwed this up and rather than correct the mistake we just get a ridiculous runaround. Not good.Thank you VW N.S. so much!
by cfrank33 on 05/20/2016After purchasing my new GTI yesterday, I am still smiling! Tukk was my sales man and was absolutely fantastic and Chad was my finance manager. Both answered all of my questions and made the car buying process very easy and understandable.… Tukk's delivery of the car was spot on, showing me every detail of the car and pairing the tech of the car to my phone. Chad was able to show me a break down of every warranty option and we tailored one to my liking very easily. Everything about my experience yesterday was perfect. I will definitely be going here for service and anyone I know interested in a VW, I will tell them that the only dealership they should be going to, to buy a VW is North Scottsdale.Such a great experience

David Bonanno was very helpful in finding the right car for me. Kevin Wright was also great and answered all my finance… questions. I would highly recommend coming to see them if you're considering buying a New or Used car. Thank you again :)New Car Purchase
by francis1945 on 09/17/2015We recently purchased a new Passat from North Scottsdale Volkswagen and the experience was outstanding from the time we arrived at the dealership and all thru the delivery of our new Passat. Our sales person Tukk Hysi did an excellent job… of explaining the option packages on the Passat and then found the exact Passat we were looking for. We have also found that any issues that come up are quickly taken care of by Tukk and his sales team. We would recommend this dealership if you are looking to purchase a new or used vehicle as they represent an assortment of major automobile manufacturers. Once again our experience with this purchase was excellent wasWonderful Experience

by HoneySue on 08/25/2015I leased my 6th car from Dave Bonanno and Nate Hecht last weekend. The main reason I keep going back to them is how amazing they treat me and how easy they make it. I have never left there with anything but a HUGE smile on my face. Karen… was the person that was my Finance Manager this time and she efficient and very personable. If anyone out ther is looking for terrific service, a wonderful atmosphere and great people to help you find the perfect car then go see Dave and let him help you find your dream car. I wish I could give all of them 6 stars. Thank you everyone....see you next time :)No pressure, all business here.
by rayjanus on 01/07/2010After a very disappointing sales and service experience with [another dealership] in Gilbert, AZ, I took my wife's Jetta TDI to Volkswagen of N. Scottsdale (part of the Power Group, who services other cars we own). In the process, I also… contacted Tukk Hysi, asking him if I could test drive a Passatt, on my visit to his dealership for the TDI services. During my visit, Tukk, without any pressure, took me on a test drive of a Passat which I hope my wife will consider as her next vehicle. His professional demeanor and followup on an information request, including introducting me to their sales manager, left me we the sense that this is the type of dealership you want to do business with. As a side note, their service department diagnosed my wife's TDI problem as a leaking head gasket, which is covered by the Extended Real Driver Warranty sold with my wife's TDI by [the other dealership]. This warranty, which [other dealership] service refused to honor after they sold it to us, will cover the services at Volkswagen of N. Scottdale. The interesting part is that [other dealership] diagnosed the problem an $800 vacuum pump issue (which they claimed was outstide the warranty), a diagnosis I challenged them on. Volkswagen of N. Scottsdale and the Power Group has my car business in the future. As well, the Penske Racing Museum, which is part of the Power Dealership Group, alone is worth the visit to see the fabulous Formula 1, NASCAR, and Le Mans cars on display there.I also dealt with Tukk when I came in recently and it was the easiest experience I've ever had buying a car. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. What I was promised online is what I received when I came in for my vehicle.

by teacher15 on 08/06/2009PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS: I am a recent college graduate and just got my first job as a special needs teacher. I am a good hearted, hard working person, and I would not be writing this if I was not so passionate about saving anyone else from… experiences this. I was particularly attracted to the jetta for the price and also for the college grad financing program. I originally found everyone at the dealership to be very nice, friendly, and pressure free. As a result, I decided to purchase one of the certified used cars they had. I was approved (or so they said) and signed papers at a very low interest rate, as part of the college grad program, and everything seemed perfect. The following evening (9:30 at night!) they called me and told me that they actually decided to change the interest rate. The following day I went in and they said that I could only take the car if they TRIPLED my interest rate, but when I said that it was impossible they rudely told me that my only option was to take that or get rid of the car. THIS IS FRAUD! I decided to give up the car because I did not want anything else to do with them, but they are horrible horrible people who are trying to bait people into buying cars in order to trick them into paying a ridiculously high interest rate. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT GET INVOLVED. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND I AM TAKING LEGAL ACTION, and if there are others out there who have also experienced this fraud please write back!Great sales experience
by vvenom800tt on 08/08/2007I just bought a GTI fom VW North Scottsdale. It has been the nicest car-buying experince I have ever had. My sales person was Tukk. He's a VW enthusiast himself. He was extremely professional and easy to deal with. There was absolutely no… pressure to buy the car. Everything is done at full disclosure. They were upfront with all the information I needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a VW.Best Experience Ever!!

I was able to do everything online, which made it even better. We agreed on a price for my… brand new Jetta TDI with no hassle and when I came in for delivery everything was as promised. I couldn't be happier!! Even the finance manager was easy to talk to and didn't pressure me for things I didn't need. I will definitely be back here next time I need a car!! Thank you!!!
About our dealership
This issue has, apparently, been resolved. There was no reason for there to have been a problem in the first place and it took WAY too long and required WAY too much effort on my part to get it fixed. But I am told the money owed to us has been paid via overnight express and is awaiting pickup at a UPS store.
