by kjc7791 on 03/06/2013updated 08/05/2025Recenty bought a vehicle after having my previous car totalled in an accident. As is par for the course with car sales, there was a very attractive price listed online and when I went in to check out the vehicle learned I didn't qualify… for any of their rebates, and there were significant add ons that put the vehicle about 2-3K outside my price range. I immediately got the high pressure sales tactic and regrettfully fell for it, since I was looking for a specific car that was only located in the north valley (I live in east valley), and had very limited buying time thanks to insurance limiting rental car time. I was shuttled between about four different sales/finance people (despite the fact that I paid cash), with additional sales people introducing themselves along the way. Talk about feeling like a number. And with all those people talking to me, would you believe only one person gave me a card. While most of the people were fine, there was one of the typical salesmen that left me with an "icky" feeling (yeah, and he was the one person I had a business card for). Because the car I came to see went from within my price range to outside my price range in within seconds, I spent over 5 hours at the dealer while they tried to track down the vehicle I wanted from a different dealer. They got the vehicle near the end of the day, but apparently without any of the vehicle's manuls. I briefly looked at the vehicle as they were cleaning it, but when I asked if I could get the car delivered to my rental car agency so I could exchange cars everyone realized that wouldn't happen that day. So I went home after a long day there, without paying anything or without taking home any paperwork. The next day I worked from home so I could deal with any other issues and take delivery. After a morning phone call where I was told someone would be calling me to set up a time to deliver the car, I waited 4 hours before calling back to make sure I was going to get the car that day, as I didn't want to pay one more day for the rental car out of my own pocket. What followed was a ridiculous number of phone calls, primarily about the missing vehicle manuals. I made sure to remind them that I did not have any paperwork, in fact I had to ask for the VIN number so I could at least spend some time getting my insurance updated while I waited on them. I did finally get my vehicle at the rental car agency. I do appreciate that they drove 45 min one-way to deliver the car, but the reality is I paid them enough for the car, I expected that service and would have argued for it if I had to. One thing slightly disappointing was that after I watched the car being washed the night before, it was clearly dusty and the windshield wipers had been used, leaving that long verticle line of dust down the edge of the wiper range. Really? Finally after going through their checklist, the salesman mentioned "one last thing," which was taking a picture of me with the car. Fine. But as he was ready to leave, I said, "Well, I am assuming you want a check for the car." I debated in my head whether to even say anything and see how long it would take them to realize I hadn't paid for the car. That's what happens when you have 4 different people working on one sale and no one talks to each other. Unbelievable. I'm not a car person, and don't get excited about cars, especially when forced to buy one after a teenage distracted driver totalled my car. But the best part of this experience was when the last salesman left and a sense of relief came over me. It's unlikely I would ever go back to Larry Miller for service since it is so far away. But the whole experience made me long for the small town dealer I worked with back east when I bought my last car, where I was treated much better, felt like they wanted my business, and didn't feel like I needed a shower after the whole experience.We love our 2014.5 Camry LE!

by smspree on 10/11/2012updated 08/05/2025I spoke a sales person named Aaron to take a look at a car. I even called one more time before I started to make sure the car was still available for sale. I drove 50 miles to look at the car and Aaron said the car sold 40min back. When I… said was leaving the dealership, he was trying to sell other cars which I was not interested anyways. This guy Aaron is really crazy and was talking gibberish. Really makes me mad, someone would not even call not to come. I had previously been getting calls every other day for car sales from this dealership and now after a car was sold, they don't care. I spoke to his manager Jerry W. and he was even more pathetic because he was not even apologizing. I would never do any kind of business with this dealership nor would recommend this dealership to any of my friends who live around Peoria.SM Spree, I sincerely apologize about your less than satisfactory experience with our Sales Department. Bait and switch advertising - Bad Business model
by charland1 on 01/10/2014updated 08/05/2025I visited this dealership due to an autotrader ad for a specific car I was looking that was advertised at a good price. It was advertised as below market. After I test drove the car, the very professional sales man Kent B pointed out to me… a statement in their add that said ..."All Photos and Pricing are Posted as soon as Possible and Therefore DO NOT INCLUDE RECONDITIONING COSTS!!!" Turns out these unidentified costs were 15% of the price of the car , taking their "below market price" of 21,686 to a market price of $24,993. I may not have driven 20 miles out of my way to see an average market price. Their bait and switch advertising got me to make that drive but they have lost a potential customer forever due to their misleading advertising. Thanks to the professional salesperson pointing that out to me I did not rant and rave on site, only when he email me the actual price later that day.Thank you for your feedback. My First Toyota

Because I still prefer to do things in person we decided to drop by the dealership while in the area. Due to no appointment we were referred to… another rep. All in all service rep was very nice and good at his job. The financial rep was also very nice and we appreciated his ability to get us out of there in a prompt and courteous manner. My comments: We would have appreciated that we had been told of any and all inperfections such as dings, dents, scratches. Also to state options that were Not included in the vehicle we chose, against other vehicles so that we could make a more complete decision. Though we made a decision to buy our vehicle in the evening we did manage to see a scratch on driver side but we did Not see some dings that the vehicle has on the passenger side. We were referred to the customer relations rep who states she will confer with the sales rep. We are now waiting to see if the dealership will honor our request to repair these.We are happy that our staff was able to make your car buying experience pleasant. After meeting Maria and talking to her some more about what we wanted she showed us the Camry Hybrid like we asked but she also mentioned the Prius. We have never… been fans of the Prius, just too small, so she told us about the Prius V. We drove it and I fell in love!! It was everything we wanted and more! It was so refreshing to deal with someone who actually listened to what we wanted and needed. And she even got us below budget(which shocked me). I am so happy with Maria and how great she was with us! We will definitley recommend her and the dealership to our family and friends!OVERALL REWARDING EXPERIENCE

Ernie Primera of Larry Miller toyota was the internet manager. He gave me the best price and when I arrived to pick up… the car we just had to sign papers. No high pressure. They had the car I wanted on the lot. Thomas Gonzales at Power Toyota matched the Larry Miller price but did not have the car- would need to order it. I would work with both in the future.Great Customer Service

I was greeted by a friendly salesman who I informed I wasn't interested in any bull I just needed a car. I was… immediately shown the model of Toyota I was looking for and taken for a test drive. My car was across the street at the "other dealership" in need of repair the Toyota salesman worked with me to have my car used as a trade in and I drove home that night in a my new Highlander. The saleseman even took me to turn in my rental car and get my items out of the car across the street. I am sure the other dealership was surprised when I pulled up in my new car with the Toyota salesman with me. I think they also realized how important customer service is and the cost of poor service. This is my third car from Larry Miller Toyota in Peoria and I will not stray to the other side of the street again.Thank you so much for your review! From the time I scheduled the meeting, to when I arrived at the dealership, he was very responsive to my requests, and not so direct requests. The whole process was very… smooth, no pressure, to the point sales. "This is what we can and cant do". Kevin's patience was astounding. It took me three hours just to even pick out a car before we even began the sale process. I test drove 4 cars before deciding on a Corolla. I will return to this dealership again, and have already referred friends and family to them. Everyone was great to work with!
