2022 Silverado with 6.2 V-8 L87 engine
by PaulKuk on 05/15/2025I have been alerted that there is a mass recall associated with GM vehicles between 2021 and 2024 with the 6.2 V-8 L87 engine. I posed this question to my advisor and was told "nothing we can do about it right now, but we are very aware of… the issue". It's my understanding that an error code, P0016, can be read from the vehicles on-board computer system which indicates the defective engine. The dealer would not commit to reading the on-board system for the code. It's also my understanding that even if the code is not present on the vehicle, the oil, filter and oil fill cap will be replaced with a higher viscosity oil. Knowing this, I asked the advisor to replace my oil with the higher viscosity. The dealer's invoice did not indicate a replacement of the higher viscosity oil. What the hell is GM and the dealership waiting for? For my vehicle to seize power and cause an accident or potential death because they are unwilling to inspect my vehicle. This is totally unacceptable and even though I have been a GM owner for over 30 years, my next vehicle will not be a GM. by JUSTIN J on 12/16/2024QUICK AND EASY, FIXED ALL ITEMS REQUESTED, I DID HAVE A ERROR MESSAGE ON MY DASH FOR "CHECK ENGINE FILTER". CODE WAS DELETED BUT AS SOON AS I DROVE ROUGHLY 5 MILES, ERROR CODE CAME BACK ON. THE FILTER WAS INSTALLED NEW AT PREVIOUS OIL… CHANGE AND CAME UP SHORTLY AFTER THAT SERVICE, I THINK IT IS JUST NOT SEATED CORRECTLY BUT ASKED FOR IT TO BE CHECKED. Corvette suspension repair

Jacob Thorp, service advisor, diagnosed it accurately, which led to a clear and accurate estimate ($ and time to repair). All done very well.Thanks! Unfinished work
by Happyone! on 09/05/2022Waiting time with scheduled appointment, difficult attitude, unfinished work. Unable to fill up the windshield wiper fluid….EVERY time. Makes me wonder what else is being overlooked.You all don’t care what these reviews say. Action is never taken.
by 087197:7 on 09/01/2022I have accumulated points to use towards service. This is the second service I had to pay for because they failed to apply them towards the bill. I sent my son a second time and they said they didn’t use them because they didn’t have the… username but they were able to call me and text me to ask me if I needed other services? what kept him from calling me to ask me for the user ID or whatever they needed? I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore. The customer service has declined since I started going there. Last car purchased from this dealership was indeed the last one.Best Service in six years from Freeway Chevrolet

by SailurAlan on 12/01/2017Greetings. I am back again to say that Richard Poole and the Freeway Chevrolet Team is Top Notch. This trip was a Sun Roof Leak issue and slight coolant smell. All issues were diagnosed quickly, and since there was a lengthy wait time for… the repair parts Freeway again provided a Loaner Car for over a week (by the way, love the 2018 Malibu!). All transactions have always been professional with great communications. I am typically an informed customer/consumer so I have a good idea what I will hear from Rick for diagnosis. He doesn't disappoint and he also has never tried to pull one over on me. Great Service from Top to Bottom. by OutofStater on 12/28/2015I stopped in for my 5K warranty service work and am from out of state. I thought I might be pushed to the back of the line because of this. I was really worried when, in spite of being the 6th car in line at opening of the service… department, all the other cars were moved up before me after I was checked in shortly after 7:00 a.m. Not to worried however, the work was finished long before I got back from breakfast at AJ's where the dealer's courtesy shuttle had driven me. Excellent customer service from Andre Sims who made sure I didn't get ignored. Thank you to Milton Perez who actually did the work. Also, many thanks for the unexpected car wash. by vettesandss on 02/09/2008I moved here from Wisconsin and got a recall for my Silverado. Something to do with the brakes on vehicles that were in saltly road conditions. Not to much before recieving this recall I had taking my truck to Dana tire and auto in… chandler and was told it was in excellent condition for the mileage, because of the maintenance that I faithfully have done, and that at this time other than the L.O.F. that it needed nothing. 90,000 miles. I go to Freeway with approximately 91,800 miles on the clock for the recall from chevrolet and when I go to pick it up am informed that there are 6 major problems on my truck and basically it is not safe to drive. I said really, 1800 miles ago it was jsut fine and now it is a death trap. The service writer backs up saying he will recheck with the mechanic. Trying to shift blame to him. I just said thank you, but no thanks and left. Hind site being what it is I should have gone to management but did not. I have since e-mailed the general manager, on another subject, and the response I got about that e-mail told what he would do to help me with anything. Nothing!I actually bumped onto this site by accident.... I have bought several vehicles from Freeway and I do service there with Chris.... I have NEVER had a problem..... I have gone to several other dealerships and have had some BAD experiences but i am not gonna badmouth them on a website.... All I can say is a tire place is not trained to go over the whole vehicle.... I like to know about potential problems and that is what they do.... I can tell you that I don't believe they are con men.... I find it amazing that people take the time to bad mouth businesses.... I would like to know where this guy works so maybe we can all badmouth him and his company! I actually work for a company that uses Freeway to maintain our trucks.... that is how I started going there, My boss also spoke highly of them.... I guess you can't please everyone.
