FAST and Didn't drag us for hours
by ejshemil on 05/09/2012updated 08/03/2025Art Ocana was awesome. He really helped us get the best possible deal available plus paired it with the Costco Auto Program was a winner. He was humble and not pushy. The guy who closed to the deal for us (the one who hands you your title,… etc.) was also very nice because he never pushed us to getting additional features that we do not need. I hate it when they are pushy and these guys were not. It's the FASTEST car buying transaction we've ever been a part of! We were driving our vehicle out the lot in 2.5 hours. Usually we get stuck for 3 to 4 hours in other dealerships!honest and informative

I called Earnhardt and spoke with Art. He didn't have it in… stock, but he was honest and told me witch dealers did have it. I was so impressed with his customer service on the phone that I wanted to purchase from him. All of our questions were answered by Art and Kevin with ease and eventhough they had to make a dealer trade to get our car, they didn't make us feel like it was some big favor to us, like Arrowhead did. We had our new CR-V the next day with perks. Extra features that the other dealership added that we didn't have to pay for. The whole team had a friendly, helpful attitude that made the whole process run smooth. I would recomend this dealership to everyone. Our special thanks to Art and Kevin.Awesome Service

I have to say that working with Bill Kopta at Earnhardt Honda in Avondale, AZ is the best, easiest, least hassle car buying process I've ever had. Bill was… straight-forward, no haggling, no back and forth or handing me off to another person to "see what they could work out", just honest, up-front answers. He returned all my phone calls and emails quickly and provided excellent customer service. The "out-the-door" pricing we agreed on is what I paid - no games, hidden fees or problems. He and the whole Earnhardt team were super fast and friendly with all of our needs. They did not hunt us down like vultures when we got there which… was so nice. When we were ready to test drive, Juan was there to help us. He answered all questions we had. Also when we went in to get a price quote and see if they could beat our bank's preapproval, there were no hassles, no negotiations, they just got us the better deal with the best rate! I could not believe how fast and smooth the process was. We have NEVER experienced such a fast process. So we would HIGHLY recommend Earnhardt Honda and Juan Campos to anyone that is looking for a car. And we LOVE our new Odyssey too!!!A Good Experience

We were especially impressed with the time and effort he spent in explaining to us all of the details of both the purchase agreement and the various features of the auto itself. I have purchased 5 new Hondas over the last 12 years and by far this was the best experience yet, from our salesman, to dealer management, and finance. Our… salesman, Elton Edwards, made our purchase a first class experience. He was great to deal with and was very personable. In fact, they went above and beyond to find the right vehicle, even after we changed from an EX-L model to the touring model. I was very impressed with their focus on making sure that we were 100% satisfied. From the General Manager to Elton, they worked hard to make sure we were happy with the new vehicle, and at a reasonable price. by baa2 on 10/05/2011updated 08/03/2025I purchased a car from Earnhardt Honda on Aug 27, 2011 and brought it to CA. Up to this date (Oct 5 2011) in spite of three trips to CA DMV and countless phone calls to CA DMV, Honda financial and Earnhardt Honda have not been able to… register it in CA. The day that I purchased the car ever body was helpful and polite at the dealer. Since the first phone call I made to the dealer (one week in advance) I have made it clear that I bought the car to bring it to CA. All I heard over and over again is “we do sell car to CA all the times and this is piece of cake”. That was a piece of cake that is stuck in my through since Aug 29 (my first trip to CA DMV). Earnhardt never told me that I may have an issue with registering my car in CA. All they said is that if the car is approved for 50 states (which my car was) there is no problem. Well that was not the complete information. First CA asked for “Manufacturer certificate or Origin” which I asked the dealer to send to me and they sent a copy later. The second trip to CA DMV made it clear that they are not accepting that copy. Then I have contacted the Honda financial (since they were the lean holder) and they said that need a “DEMAND LETTER” from CA DMV. I have called CA DMV and they said they are not obligated to send any demand letter. They said that Honda financial can send them to the address that I have (A P.O. Box). I have called the Honda financial and they faxed me a copy of electronic title. The Honda financial said that they are NOT sending original TITLE unless they have a “Demand letter”. I made the third trip to CA DMV and they did not accept a copy of title. The needed the original one. NO ONE ever mentioned that DMV do not accept COPY both Earnhardt and Honda financial sent me a copy. It is like this is what we can provide to you and you are on your own!! In my third trip to CA DMV, when I broke into tears, the manager (a woman) said that she is going to FAX the Honda financial and request a title. She gave me all my original documents and said that they will inform me when they receive the original Title to bring the registration to DMV. That would be my fourth day off work and countless hours trying to resolve this mess (I still would be happy if that resolves this issue and the car gets registered). The original reason that I went to AZ to buy a HONDA was to save some money. Let’s say that NO amount of money worth the emotional stress that I have been through. If you are buying a car from Earnhardt and you live in AZ, you are most likely fine. They are good at what they are doing. However, if you live in another state, PLEASE check your DMV first before getting into a headache like mine. Someone at Honda financial told me that I would not have this much headache if Earnhardt did not title the car in AZ!! I don’t know if that is true or not. However, when it comes to other states, I am sure that at least some staff and sale personnel at Earnhardt are NOT well informed. So, when it comes to selling car to residence of other states, I would not recommend them.Tony Rodgers was AWESOME!

I went through the Costco Auto program also so the price was lower than competing dealers. Overall, the purchasing process was… quick and easier than I thought.I Highly Recommend Earnhardt Honda!!!

I test drove a new car on a Sunday, discussed everything with my husband over the next few days while talking with Tony over the phone, and then we were driving our new car home… Wednesday evening. Once we were in to buy, everything ran very smoothly, and they took GREAT care of us! We had our children with us, and Tony made sure they were comfortable, as well! I would recommend any and everyone to visit Earnhardt to purchase a new, or used, car! Thank you all so so much!! And an even bigger thank you to Tony!Solid Experience

I don't expect perfection; I didn't get perfection - so I am satisfied with my car-buying experience. The "no bull" promise applied with our sales person -… Arturo. He gave us all of his time - even though we were not committed to buying. Even better? He never guessed - when we had (neurotically) specific questions, he found the right answer instead of guessing. He was calm, respectful and responsive. At price negotiation time, the (expected) "bull" came when their price included the tinting, alarm, door guard, etc that was NOT on the sticker price. But honesty won the day when they showed us multiple pricing options, with full-disclosure break downs on each, once we finally settled on a (very fair) sales price.Excellent Service

I wasn't even planning on buying a car but Tony Rodgers put me in a brand new car with not much down and only $20 a month more… than my current 2010 car. I was so impressed with the new Civic. This is the 3rd Honda I've purchased from Earnhardt. Both their Sales and Service Department Teams are excellent and make things happen that you don't think can. Thank you Tony!Bob's Accord

This is the second time I have been to the dealership to purchase a car. Tony R helped me with my car and then my son wanted to… purchase a Honda. Tony again helped with the sale and both times it was a great experience no hassles and pressure free. All of the staff from all levels through management were very nice and helpful. After the sale I have received phone calls from the dealership staff and from management on down to make sure I was still happy with the purchase and to see if I had any concerns or questions about the car or purchase.
