by terip1 on 09/01/2011updated 08/04/2025We were looking for a car to fit out lifestyle and our budget..after going to a dealership a few shops down and being dis satisfied, we went to the Honda lo pt..DC Compton came up to us and was very friendly and personable.. I am very… satisfied with the service we recieved..We had a 3 year old with us and car buying is not a super slow process..DC did everything to make her happy and make out time there as quick as possible. Honestly I have never been to a car dealership where the employees went so out of their way to please the customer. We were very pleased.Satisfied new Honda owner
by azhonda12 on 02/11/2012updated 08/04/2025I didn't know what to expect showing up to Earnhardt Honda to look for a vehicle. Me and my wife were introduced to Matthew, I cannot say enough great things about him or the experience we had with the dealership. He didn't beat around the… bush or try to bs us with information. He was very straight forward and to the point. His expertise was second to none, he knew the features of our vehicle, top to bottom and was very enthusiastic about how great owning a Honda was. Our overall experience was pleasurable and Matthew made everything smooth and changed my view on how a car salesman should be. Thank you so much Matthew, you truly are among the best and me and my wife cannot thank you enough for going out of our way to help us. We won't forget our experience at Earnhardt Honda. If you are looking to buy a new Honda vehicle, I urge all of you to go and speak with Matthew at Earnhardt Honda, you will not be disappointed at all, that is a promise and guarantee!!Unsatisfactory Experience
by crobot83 on 01/20/2012updated 08/04/2025I had contacted Earnhardt Honda and spoke with a salesperson whom I believe to be Dennis. Dennis seemed nice and helpful. My fiancé and I went and drove 65 miles from East Mesa to go purchase a used 2010 Honda Insight because they were… willing to meet our price that we wanted out the door. When we arrived, and began talking financial information, I told them that I did not want them to run my credit more than once. I stressed this as I had purchased another car about a year previous to this purchase and the number of inquiries hindered my from acquiring a refinance loan for student loans and for a credit card that I had intentions of obtaining to refinance other credit debt. The salesman, Dennis, assured me that it would be run only once and that I had nothing to worry about. We made the purchase and about 2-3 weeks later I was requested to provide a Proof of Residence for the financing. At this time, I had received 2 notices in the mail about financing requests that had been made in my name at multiple banks. One request said the requested dollar amount was for $3,000+ OVER the purchase price of the car. I checked my credit report and now I again have too many credit inquiries and again, am being denied due to this to refinance credit debt. Andres response to me asking him why he (finance department) ran my credit more than once was: I needed to get you a loan approval. Got several declines before I got an approval at the interest rate we contracted you at. Some approvals came back at higher interest rates. To which I replied: You shouldn't sell an interest rate before having it solidified. Now because of your actions you've affected my financial plans because I cannot get refi's on debt that I had planned on getting refi'd in January because of too many credit inquiries. This is the reason I stressed the importance of having my credit ran only once and was assured that it would only be ran once. My fiance and I were going to get married at the end of this year from saving money after refinancing these debts and now that won't happen because of your actions. I had been planning this for the entire year because when I got my BMW they did the same thing (ran my credit too many times) and stopped me from refinancing student loans back in January of last year. Those inquiries were finally about to stop effecting my credit worthiness from the refinancing I was attempting to obtain and now that's all messed up again. Andre claims: No, we aren't running your credit over and over, banks are looking at it when they are judging whether or not to approve the loan. Once the loan post on your credit your score should go back to how it was prior to the bank inquiries. Credit agencies know that when you're buying a car banks need to look at your credit. Congratulations on the engagement. You're a lucky guy. Your fiance is very nice and attractive. First of all, how unprofessional to even comment on my fiancé. And second, YOU DID RUN MY CREDIT OVER AND OVER.. I HAVE THE INQUIRIES FROM MULTIPLE BANKS TO PROVE THAT. My reply: You're not understanding the term credit inquiries. Its not the credit score that is the problem.. its the financial institution looking at the inquiry history and saying that I have too many recent inquiries and they feel I am trying to open too many lines of credit. Those inquiries stay for two or three years and are held against applicants for a year from the inquiry date. So now I am paying finance charges on debt I had intended on moving to zero interest credit cards and saving money so that I could get married at the end of this year. Now that has to be delayed further and I have to pay more money towards debt than what was intended. My financial plans are ruined and because of the carelessness of this dealership. I would not recommend Earnhardt Honda to anyone and I would be careful trusting this dealership.Don Staples was great
by azdochuff on 05/29/2012updated 08/04/2025Don Staples was assigned to us after we requested quotes from edmunds.com. He gave us the price that was quoted online and gave us a very fair value for our trade in. We received 4 quotes from other dealers. I even went in to Bell Honda… before I went to Don. Bell Honda gave me an offer in person that had $5000 in "options" that weren't discussed over the phone and undervalued my trade by more than $2000. Showcase Honda made me a fair offer, but thankfully didn't have the color I wanted. I say thankfully, because Don gave me an even better deal. If you are looking to buy a car without having to deal with someone trying to take advantage of you and sneak something by you, go see Don Staples! The Best Company!
by julia_jc08 on 05/23/2012updated 08/04/2025My Mom had a Honda Civic 2010 and she decided change for another economic. We went to the dealer last Friday and Juan Campos helped us to chose the best opcion, my mom loves Civic so she got a new one Honda Civic 2012. She is so happy and… we love that dealer's process.Poor Service at Earnhardt Honda
by erik30 on 07/05/2012updated 08/04/2025We were exceptionally unimpressed with Earnhardt Honda. The personnel were extremely slow to respond and rarely did so in the promised timelines. We were assured a vehicle meeting our requirements was available and made a deposit… immediately. A few days later we noticed the payment had not yet cleared and called in to inquire. The rep wasnt available to respond. We then called back a few days later and she had no recollection of the transaction and forwarded us on to someone else. We later found that they had not secured the vehicle and it had subsequently sold. This after we had been assured over a week prior that everything was taken care of. To us this represented a major failure. Not only had they failed to secure the vehicle, but they also failed to contact us to inform us that we had in fact not secured a vehicle for our arrival into Phoenix. The staff made little to no efforts to resolve this matter after a major failure to communicate effectively and to keep their word. I would probably recommend a just about anywhere else over earnhardt.I liked it so much, I went back for another car.
by greyula on 09/26/2013updated 08/04/2025I recently purchased a new Civic from Earnhardt Honda and it was by far the easiest car buying experience that I have yet had. I was so happy, that when I needed to lease a car for my wife, we went back to see Rafi J at Earnhardt Honda.… Again, the entire process was painless, the staff was professional, they didn't play games with me and I got a really good price on my wife's new Civic. I only wish I had acted faster, because the color she wanted was not available at the time we were buying, but overall I am again extremely satisfied.Ask for Israel
by cristinav on 06/03/2012updated 08/04/2025Don't waste your time at any other dealership like I did! Make sure and ask for Israel and you'll be guaranteed an amazing deal. Earnhardt was the first dealership my husband went to. He loved how he was treated and told me we should go… with the deal without going to any other dealer because he the people he dealt with were being honest and giving us the best deal. I told him there was no way our best deal was going to come from our first stop at the first dealership so I went to Bell Honda who guaranteed me that they would beat any deal by $500. I wasted my time and was mistreated. I had to go to Earnhardt and admit that my husband was right. They honored the deal they had given my husband earlier and we walked away with a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. We had a great experience with Israel, Art, and Leo. Even the financing department was great, no pressure like every other dealership. We hope to be lifetime customers and plan to purchase another vehicle from them in the near future.2011 Honda Civic
by newrk4u on 03/09/2011updated 08/04/2025This is the fifth car I have bought from the Earnhardt dealerships. The sales person I dealt with was Jeremiah McKenna, he was very personable, informative and friendly. He showed me the new cars and let me pick the color I wanted. It was a… good experience.Unbelievable service!!
by kkienzlen on 07/26/2011updated 08/04/2025I will ALWAYS purchase all my vehicles from Earnhardt Honda. The service was awesome and I feel I received more than a fair deal. Will Johnson was my sales person and he was incredible and went beyond the call of duty to get me everything I… wanted in a vehicle. Kevin Warner also assisted in the deal and answered all my questions and bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. My hat goes off to the dealership!Purchase of Pilot
by randysd on 06/20/2011updated 08/04/2025We worked with Manuel Cabrera. He honored our request to correspond by email until we were ready to contact him by phone.Very satisfied

Everything was explained to me in detail and I was given a really great deal with a lot of options. The salesman was… very knowlegable and helped me to make a good decsion. They took me out of a bad situation and put me in a much better one. Would recommend to others.Satisfied Customer
by jguevara on 07/26/2011updated 08/04/2025I am extremely satisfied with the service my husband and I received when purchasing my CRV. by bramcke on 03/31/2011updated 08/04/2025Rudy Ruiz was very patient and helpful. We got a great deal on a CRV EX because they didn't have an LX in the color we wanted.Simply the Best I have dealt with. Ever.
by grant22 on 04/06/2011updated 08/04/2025I dealt with Manual Cabrera via internet prior to making the trip (200 mile drive). I received the deal I wanted with NO jerking me around before I arrived or after I arrived. Manual is a good dude and not your typical slimey car… salesman. I HIGHLY recommend and will be returning for my/our next Honda. Thanks Manuel!Love my new HONDA CRV....Thanks Tony!
by jdavis01 on 04/25/2011updated 08/04/2025I worked with Tony Rodgers at Earnhardt Honda - it was worth the drive!! Completed the on-line application - told him what I was interested in purchasing and what kind of payments I could afford. He found me a vehicle that exceeded my… expectations ...i stopped by, dropped off my trade ...did a little paperwork and I was out the door! Thanks for making this so easy Tony!Integrity and Loyalty - straight forward!
by bigdaddyota on 08/02/2011updated 08/04/2025We have now purchased the third Vehicle with Honda Earnhardt and we are convinced that this Dealership has earned its honors! Art Ocana, Manager Internet &Fleet Sales and Marty Callan, Financing Manager are a blessing and great persons to… work with. We can recommend this Dealership and understand the way they do it now better - 'no Bull'... S. & H. P.Thank you Will Johnson!
by civicbuyer1 on 07/12/2011updated 08/04/2025I recently purchased a 2012 civic hybrid from Will Johnson at Earnhardt Honda. After a failed and frustrating visit to Right Honda in Scottsdale, I requested a quote from the Avondale dealership. Will responded with a quote very quickly and… I made an appointment for the following day to have my trade-in appraised. After some minor haggling on the trade-in value, we reached a deal and closed the transaction within 24 hours of me getting my initial on-line quote. I would highly recommend using Will Johnson at this dealership for all your new car needs!True to Their Word
by chandler57 on 04/06/2011updated 08/04/2025We had been in contact with various Honda dealerships in the Valley looking for a 2011 Odyssey EX. We were promised a specific price at Bell Honda which turned into a fiasco so on our way back to Chandler I called Manuel Cabrera at… Earnhardt Honda. We had spoken to Manuel over the phone and had been in touch through the internet. They had the Odyssey that we wanted in the color we chose. Manuel was able to get approval on our price offer and called us back quickly. We were told if we could be there our offer would be accepted. When we met with Manuel Cabrera and Kevin Warner they were very pleasant and helpful. After our terrible experience at Bell Honda a few hours earlier, I was half waiting for when they would start playing games. To our delight they remained courteous and pleasant to deal with. We purchased our Odyssey with no hidden costs or hidden fees. We have been contacted several times by both Manuel and Kevin checking on our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the treatment and professionalism we experienced with Earnhardt Honda. It is good to know that a dealership can be true to their word and actually value their integrity.Awful experience, was treated like they were doing me a favor
by aahir on 07/05/2011updated 08/04/2025I went to this dealership to get a 2012 Honda Civic EX which they quoted at 22,626 OTD price. First of all, I get there and they quote a fairly dishonest 23,898. After I tell them the quote I received from them, after arguing with them for… 1 hour they agree on the online price. Meanwhile, I am discussing the price with my significant other in my native language and they bring in a person from our race to come and talk to us and essentially rob us of any private discussion we could have. My feelings are further offended by them playing the race card which was not at all necessary. After haggling about the price, we finally get them to agree on the price not one cent less than they themselves quoted on the internet for a car that would have come in 3 weeks later, we were dumb enough to continue to do the paperwork. The dealer here mentions in his own words 'I do not need to sell the car to you, Honda Civics are so low in demand that someone will surely buy them'. In the process to extract pennies and nickles out of our money, they now claim that the deal never included any window tinting or other non factory modifications to the car. At this point I am furious and demand to see the manager. The bald manager ( I dont mean to be disrespectful but I dont remember his name) comes in to resolve the situation. He brings us a new quote and thinks we are stupid. He actually tries to show us that he lowered the MSRP to 20,095 and still the price is 22,626 without the modifications. This makes me loose any little credibility I had for the dealer and makes me walkout of the dealership after two and a half hours of my time wasted. If you choose to go there, I hope you have a better time then I did but I for one am not going to go there again.Earnhardt Honda values every customer. However we are not in agreement with the statements made by this customer. The quote emailed to the customer specifically mentioned that the price was for "factory equipped vehicles only" and the quote said that it was valid only until the end of the month due to restrictions on factory incentives and availability. The customer came in after the quote had expired. We decided to still honor the quote in spite of that. The additional cost was for equipment installed after the vehicle arrived at the dealership. Due to circumstances outside of our control, the supply of the new 2012 Honda Civic has not been able to keep up with the demand. Since at that time we did not have the particular vehicle they were looking for without any added equipment we offered an alternative vehicle without any additional equipment that would be arriving 3 weeks later. In negotiations most misunderstandings are due to a lack of communication. Since the customer and their significant other conversed with each other in their native language we felt that they may prefer to deal in their native language. If the customer wished to speak privately all they had to do was ask and we would have given them all the time they wanted to discuss it in private. We were not trying to rob the customer of their privacy. In summary we will always welcome this customer back as we would any other customer.
Great Experience!!!
by 22jackie22 on 02/23/2011updated 08/04/2025Buying a car is my least favorite thing to do. I don't enjoy pushing salesman and having to wheel and deal. Bill Kopta at Earnhardt Honda made my buying experience wonderful!!! He was very clear, very kind, very experienced and made me… leave with a smile as I pulled off the lot in my new car. I will recommend all my friends to Bill Kopta along with the very professional people at Earnhardt Honda.
Thank you for choosing Earnhardt Honda for, not one, but two vehicle purchases! We certainly appreciate the loyalty you have shown our business and I'm pleased to know you found both experiences easy and stress-free. Thank you for the encouraging feedback and I will be sure Rafi also hears of your kind words. Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance!
