  • They Changed Terms After Purchase

    When I left Horne Hyundai with my new Palisade I had very good things to say about the experience. But a few days later something happened which undermined the good faith which was built that day. It was a long Saturday when we seemed to reach a deal. The staff, including the general manager, worked hard to meet my needs. After several hours I got word that I was approved for financing at an acceptable interest rate. It took about another hour to sign contracts and get the keys. I left feeling satisfied the hard work was over and I could go home and enjoy my new wheels. Five days after my purchase, I got a voicemail from Jorge (the dealer's financing boss) saying he had good news and bad news. Immediately I was confused. What bad news could the dealer have for me? I bought the car almost a week earlier and was back home in another part of the state. I came to find out that for whatever reason, I had NOT been approved for the interest rate I was told, and Jorge needed more information to try to get me approved. I still don't know why he told me on the day of my purchase that I was approved for a certain interest rate, and why I was sent home with a signed contract saying so, when in fact I hadn't. After revisiting my personal finances and providing Jorge a few more details, he called me back and told me he was able to get me approved at a rate almost one full percentage point higher than I was told at the time of my purchase, which put my monthly payment higher than I was comfortable with. But rather than make the 3-hour drive back to the valley and take back my trade-in vehicle, I decided to swallow the higher payment. I have some positive things to report about the experience, but first I have one more gripe... Their initial offer on my trade-in was a joke. When you are trading in a 1-year old car which is nearly flawless, and your salesman says they can only send it to auction, you just have to shake your head. Fortunately, later in the process they offered a respectable amount for the trade-in. For the positive, Kahi was very knowledgeable on the details of the car's features. He was patient and willing and able to answer all of my questions. Overall I am pleased with the vehicle I bought and the price. This is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and they went below MSRP to make the deal. I still don't know how a dealer can tell a customer "Congratulations, you are approved for these terms," and send them home with a car and a signed contract, and then a week later come back and say "Hey, you actually weren't approved." I asked Jorge that question and didn't get a straight answer. I looked through the other reviews on Yelp and dealerrater.com and found that I am not the only customer Horne Hyundai has done this to. Even with all the hard work the staff did for me, and the price I got, this problem is very troubling and I would not feel comfortable going to Horne Hyundai for another purchase.

  • My New Kona

    My new Kona is fantastic and really am having fun driving again. Twila and the rest of the staff really went out of there way in helping me with the purchase of my new Kona. They are so down to earth and treat you like family. Would highly recommend them and Horne Honda of Apache Junction to anyone. Very Trusting dealership. Thank you again for all your help and support

  • Stay away

    Went in with their flier 38 down take over the payment. They had to have 2 cosigner's, 799.00 down, then only gave a 3 month tags, lied and tried to bully us. Saying we can't take the car back, only had it a day or two. These people are [non-permissible content removed]. I felt harassed, and uncomfortable the whole time we were there. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

  • Best Car Buying Experience Ever!

    I would highly recommend Horne Hyundai! With the dealership being 45 miles away from my home, I negotiated my deal over the phone/email. The whole process was fantastic! When I got to the dealership the car I was looking for was waiting for my test drive. Lorie Ceal was my salesgirl and she was Fantastic! Everything went exactly as I was told it would by the General Manager. NO pressure, NO add-ons, NO hassles! Definitely worth the drive to have such an exceptional car buying experience!

    What a pleasure to deal with an auto dealership that is staffed with the Best of the Best Professionals. This term is my coined accomadation to all that are associated with Horne Hyundai. This review is entirely unprompted and is totally my idea. The "Buying Experience" was an absolute pleasure and I actually look forward to my next purchase and service visit. If the sales review scale was on a scale of ten,this Dealership and all of the Staff would get a 20 from me.

  • Fast, Friendly and Easy

    I went in on a Monday to this dealership just to test drive a few cars. Fred, my salesman, took me for a test drive in both cars...I felt no pressure to sit down and deal, and really got to drive the car and try it out. I really did fall in love with the car, and I had all my research done before I came to the dealer (i.e. Kelly Blue Book for my trade-in, reviews and pricing on the car I was test driving, etc). I decided to sit down with him to see what deal they could offer. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry because of an appointment that afternoon...even though there was a little negotiating involved, they gave me the deal I was looking for with minimal hassle, and they got my car all set up (including programming my Bluetooth connection for me and syncing my cell phone to it). This took a little under two hours from start to finish. Fastest that has ever happened, and everyone in the dealership was so friendly. I will go back to this dealer in the future
  • Bad experience

    I Bought a vera Cruiz from this dealer made the deal and then about a week and a half later i went in to get the car detailed and they said they coudnt finance me for the price we agreed and that if we wanted to keep the car that we would have to pay 50.00 more a month on our payments. So needless to say they took the car back that day. unexpectedly and in front of my son. I do not recommend this dealer for any honest person.
    • I went to Horne Hyundai in 2006 to help my dad by a used car. They were terrible. VERY SHADY! They tried every trick, lie and delay tactic in the book. The car was overpriced anyway. When we walked out, the salesman would not even shake my hand when I extended out just to be polite. I've never seen anyone be that rude in my life. I wouldn't buy a glass of lemonade from them if they had a lemonade stand. Anyone would be wise to steer clear of this place.

    • I am really shocked to read this reveiw. i purchased a car for my parents not long ago. the entire staff was really helpfull. most dealerships that i have worked with over the years have been a major head ache. Horne Hyundai was low pressure and the sales manager was really a cut to the chase kind of manager. it couldnt be easir and more pleasant if you bought on line. This review must be one of a kind. there are many customers with many needs. My parents needs were particular and needful. by the time it was out the door. it was cheaper and better than can be expected. I am sorry for your loss. Maybe the next dealership can show you they can walk on water.

    Austin at Horne Hyundai was extreamly helpful yet not pushy. He went above and beyond what most sales reps do. The car in the color I wanted was not on their lot so he went online and found one at another dealer and had them deliver it to me. Thank you for your great service.
  • Easiest car purchase ever

    I used the internet process. Mr. Austin Hart, the internet sales manager, quickly responded with pictures of the available car that matched my request. He had it parked out front and was waiting when I got there after work. After that, it was a relaxed, non-pushy environment. I got all my questions answered, the price was as quoted in his response. The car was the car in the pictures. The experience was extremely pleasant, the fastest and the easiest I've ever had. And I've been buying cars for almost 50 years. I would recommend this dealership and Mr. Hart to any of my friends and relatives. It is definitely worth the drive.
